Vishal and Sameera Reddy starrer Vedi directed by PrabhuDeva is a remake of Telugu movie Souryam. The original that had Gopichand paired with Anushka is the story of its hero looking to reunite with his sibling while the baddies seek revenge.
Sameera Reddy plays a fun-loving college girl who is trying her hand at comedy for the first time. Music director Devi Sri Prasad will be seen in a special appearance in one of the songs that is expected to add flavor to the movie. Vedi team is currently in Ladakh to shoot two song sequences in a never-seen-before location.
The first look of 'Vedi' that released a while ago with Vishal clad in a red shirt and a hot pair of shades, is from the song 'Mumbai Ponnu...' The visuals of this song tuned in by Vijay Antony does promise a lot from this item number which is why we'll have to wait to welcome the hottie Sophie Chowdry to Kollywood.
According to sources, director Prabhu Deva is taking special care to make the songs appear different on screen and the latest buzz is that the producers are now trying to release the film by September end unlike earlier reports that had it scheduled to grace theatres for Diwali.
