Bunraku, a visually stunning film like Sin City (2005) and 300 (2007), filled with uniquely choreographed action sequences of a new style that melds east with west and old school with new.

In a world with no guns, a mysterious drifter (Josh Hartnett) and an ardent young Japanese warrior Yoshi (Gackt) both arrive in a town that has been terrorized by outrageous and virulent criminals. Each is obsessed with his separate mission, and guided by the wisdom of The Bartender (Woody Harrelson) at the Horseless Horseman Saloon, the two eventually join forces to bring down the corrupt and contemptuous reign of Nicola (Ron Perlman), the awesomely evil “woodcutter” and his lady Alexandra (Demi Moore), a femme fatale with a secret past.

This classic tale is re-vitalized and re-imagined in an entirely fresh visual context, set in a unique world that mixes skewed reality with shadow-play fantasy, a place where even the landscape can betray you.

Heroes triumph here only because the force of their will transforms and transcends both space and time. The world of BUNRAKU is past and present, fantasy and reality, Samurai and Western all combined.

Resonating through a wide range of cultures and showcasing a mind-blowing array of martial arts disciplines, BUNRAKU is a fresh arena for breathtaking fight action.

The whole thing looks like a very colorful action film that highlights one thing amidst all the fighting and CGI scenes: Demi Moore making out with Ron Perlman. Now that’s something we thought we’d never see at least until 'Bunraku' hits theaters September 30th 2011.

The news of Bipasha Basu and John Abraham breaking up came as a shock to many. The two were seeing each other since the past nine years. But the good news is that both of them seem to have moved on pretty quickly.

While Bipasha is rumoured to be dating her international co-star Josh Hartnett, John has been spotted having coffee and dinner with a girl named Priya. While there is not much detail available about Priya, sources reveal that she is an upcoming model.

John is currently shooting for his upcoming, yet untitled movie which features Chitrangada Singh. The buzz suggests that John has been enjoying his single status lately and has been hitting it off quite well with the females around him.

John and Priya were reportedly spotted hanging out together and having chats over a cup of coffee! The two were also seen at suburban restaurants having dinner. John takes out time after his shoots to spend time with Priya.

Well, John, we would advice you take things ahead slowly. Because slow and steady wins Priya. Oops, we mean the race! Wink! Wink!

It’s official. Bipasha Basu has successfully moved on from her relationship of nine years with actor John Abraham and is enjoying the change. Shutting off all rumours over the new man in her life, she says, “I’ve been in relationships since I was 15. Though I’ve only dated three men in that time,” she admits, adding, “I’m now single for the first time in 17 years.”

But Bipasha, who was dating Dino Morea before John, refuses to commit to how long that status quo will remain.
“I don’t plan. It all depends on whether I find a suitable guy,” she says.

The actor was recently linked to Dum Maaro Dum co-star Rana Daggubatti and Josh Hartnett, who plays her on-screen lover in Singularity.

She admits she didn’t think of settling down even when she was with a man, and has no intention to do so now.

“While I was in a relationship, it was great. Some day, I will settle down with a husband and kids. But I’m not interested right now,” says Bipasha, who is currently shooting for Players in Russia in sub zero temperatures with Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Neil Nitin Mukesh on the Abbas-Mustan remake of The Italian Job (2003).

Bipasha reveals that when she made her film debut in 2001, she had thought of retiring from acting in five years. Today, almost a decade later, she has just finished filming her first Hollywood venture, Roland Joffe’s Singularity, with Josh Hartnett and Abhay Deol among others. She doesn’t know whether her career will change after its release, but she doesn’t want to leave Bollywood.

“If it does well, it will get me a lot of respect from markets that don’t know me. But Bollywood is where I’m going to be. At the same time, Singularity is mammoth,” says Bipasha, who credits filmmaker-friend Heeraz Marfatia, also a creative consultant on the film, with introducing her to Roland informally about a year ago and giving her the big Hollywood break.

“He just told me to meet Roland and when I did, who knew I would land Tulaja Naik’s role? My character drives the entire film. And it’s a love story between Josh and I.”

Singularity is split into two eras, and the period parts have been shot in Australia and Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Over the next few weeks, Josh will film the present day portions.

Bipasha plays a Maratha warrior in the film. Having had her fill of action with Players and Singularity, the actor, plans to announce her next.

“It will be a romantic-comedy,” she says.

Bipasha Basu has completed a decade in the Hindi film industry and donned numerous roles, but her forthcoming international venture 'Singularity', she says, gave her a fresh perspective towards acting.

"Singularity' has been a fantastic experience because I have been in the film industry for a long time now. But this film gave me a completely fresh take towards acting," the 32-year-old actress told us in an interview.

"It just introduced me to a new kind of acting, new kind of cinema, which for an artist is great," she added.

Bipasha Basu stars as a Maratha warrior in the period film that is being helmed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Roland Joffe. It also stars Hollywood star Josh Hartnett.

"My role is that of a Maratha warrior and the backdrop of the film is the Anglo-Maratha war in 18th-century colonial India. It's basically the love story between a British soldier and this Maratha queen that is played by me," she revealed.

The actress, who has worked in films like 'Ajnabee', 'Apaharan', 'Corporate', 'Race' and 'Bachna Ae Haseeno', among others, said 'Singularity' just fell into her lap.

"Any actor would give an arm to work with Joffe and for me it happened so easily. I kind of bumped into him and he just loved my voice and cast me in the lead role," Bipasha said.

"I was in Los Angeles and I just happened to say hello to him because a friend of mine knew him and I was there for a meeting. So for me this role just fell into my lap," she added.

Bipasha has always been known for fitness and her perfect 10 body. Because of her fitness levels, the actress was itching to do an action role and her dream came true with 'Singularity' and another forthcoming film 'Players'.

"Yes, I was looking forward to doing action roles and I'm so glad that I got an opportunity to do that in not one but two of my films. I'm looking forward to both," said the ex-model.

Bipasha will be seen in many much-awaited films this year. So would she call 2011 a very exciting and productive year for her?

"Every year has been very exciting for me. There has been a little bit of re-invention that I do as an artist every time because our business is very harsh," the actress said.

"There are a number of fears. If the screen presence of female actors is longer, people tend to get a little harsh on you but thankfully with me people have been very appreciable," she added.

"Every year, I project myself and re-invent myself as an artist. I don't let any staleness creep into me and even as an artist, I think that's exciting for me," she added.

Along with 'Singularity' and 'Players', Bipasha will also be seen in 'Dum Maaro Dum', which will be her first release for the year.
