Reemma lashes out..

Reemma Sen is playing a cop and that of a sister to the lead in the upcoming remake of S.A Chandrasekar’s Sattam Oru Iruttarai.

Hearing this, many other directors have supposedly approached the actor to play similar roles in their films too.

Frustrated by the development, the Aayirathil Oruvan actor has said that she will not play any ‘sister’ roles in her future films, letting out a strong message to film makers that she hasn’t lost her youthful looks yet.

The remake is being directed by Sneha Britto and S.A Chandrasekar himself is supervising the young debutante. Thaman, Pia Bajpai, Bindu Madhavi and Radha Ravi are doing important roles in the film.

Piaa Bajpai who impressed auidence with her performance in Ko, has been promoting Andrew Vasanth's Leelai that stars Shiv Pandit and Manasi in the lead.

The curiosity of the actor enthusiastically promoting 'Leelai' on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, aroused her fans questioning of her involved interest with the film and asked if she was dating the handsome leading man, Shiv Pandit.

Piaa, a thorough professional that she is, was very sportive and apologised for irritating her followers by promoting Leelai so aggressively. The actor, clarified that she was very keen to support the film as many of her good friends are involved in it and she believes that it is a very good film.

Director Sasikumar of Subramaniapuram fame makes acting debut in Malayalam with Masters that has Prithviraj, Ananya and Piaa Bajpai in the leading roles.

Masters, directed by Johny Antony is an upcoming Malayalam action thriller film that revolves around the friendship of two childhood friends who join hands to unravel the mystery behind a horrendous incident despite having landed in two separate careers.

Prithviraj plays ASP Sriramakrishnan, an impulsive police officer and Sasikumar plays Milan Paul, a news reporter.

The film is in the post production stage and Sasikumar’s look in the film is the talk of the town.

The film is expected to be released by the end of March.

Piaa Bajpai is a smart girl who knows that in this competitive world of films, one needs to be sharp to stay ahead of the competition.

Piaa has decided to add to her arsenal by developing the perfect body. The KO babe is not aiming for a size - zero figure but only wants to carry a toned body that is completely free of flab.

To achieve her aim she is on a strict protein and fibre diet and is also working out big time. It has been very hard for her, since she is a pure vegetarian and can't include protein - rich items like fish and chicken in her diet. But she is determined to stick to her diet and is asking all around her to suggest some veggie substitutes.

After the success of KO and some of her ads, she is getting a few offers from Bollywood. Perhaps a slammin hot body will complete the deal and get her a ticket on the Bollywood bandwagon.

Lead Actresses opposite STR for Vettai Mannan

Silambarasan's next is with Nelson and is called Vettai Mannan. Deeksha Seth will play one of the female leads in this film. Apparently there are two more heroine spots that need to be filled. STR had suggested Asin but Nelson wants someone who is just two or three films old. Bubbly Piaa Bajpai who impressed in Ko is hot stuff at present and is in strong contention for one of the heroine roles.

The other role may go to Amrita Rao, the elder sister of Preetika, who was seen in Chikku Bukku with Arya. But Amrita is extremely choosy when it come to giving the green signal for South Indian projects. She has done only one Telugu film with Mahesh Babu which was a huge hit. She was flooded with offers after that but she is yet to sign anything in these parts. If she is not finalized for the role, others from Bollywood will be considered.

Silambarasan plays a killer in this film, which is being shot in Chennai and Brazil. Jai also has a good role in this film.

"KO" running successfully for 50 days

KV Anand's Ko starring Jiiva, Ajmal, Karthika and Piaa Bajpai has completed 50 days. Congratulations are pouring in from all sides for the team and they are soaking up the sweet taste of success. They have all earned a lot of respectand and fame within the industry; thanks to their film.

"Ko" to glue audience to their seats

Although it is said that KV Anand’s forthcoming flick ‘Ko’ is based on Russel Crowe’s ‘State of Play,’ sources close to the director say that the film is inspired by real life incidents during KV Anand’s days as a journalist. KV Anand believes that a journalist can bring about many changes in the society and achieve difficult tasks. Looks like ‘Ko’ took shape based on these.

The movie has Jeeva, Ajmal, Karthika and Piya Bajpai playing the lead roles. This political action thriller revolves around a photo journalist and the twist and turns he faces while investigating a mystery case. While the songs have already become quite chart-busters, Karthika, daughter of yesteryear heroine Radha is already grabbing the limelight.

The movie has many guest appearances including Suriya, Karthi, Bharath, Jayam Ravi, Shiva, Harris Jayaraj, Tamannah Bhatia and many others... Sources say that the climax of the film is something completely unexpected and that the movie is sure to keep the audiences glued to their seats throughout.

GOA going to be remade in Telugu

Venkat Prabhu directed Goa, starring Vaibhav and Sneha in the lead roles, which was a big hit in Tamil is now being dubbed into Telugu under the same name. The film has ex-flames Simbhu and Nayanthara in special appearances. While the Tamil version was produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth under the banner of Ocher Studios, the Telugu version is being jointly produced by Gangavarapu Srinivasulu Naidu and SK Babu under the banner of Sai Balaji Films. The DTS work of the film is going on in full swing.

Briefing about the film, the producers say, "The film was shot in in Goa, Malaysia and Bangkok. It is a youthful love entertainer. Goa is the story of three friends who wish to break away from the confines of village life. They leave for Madurai and from there to Goa, where adventures await the trio. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed some wonderful tunes for the film. We want to release the audio this week and the film in May."

Jai, Premgi Amaren, Piaa Bajpai, Sampath Raj, Aravind Akash and Melanie Marie are the others in the cast. Dialogues are by Shashank Vennelakanti and lyrics by Vennelakanti.

Double Ayan
