According to reports, Anurag Basu's 'Barfi' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra  and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead has gotten into legal trouble.

Mumbai based, Murphy Enterprises are objecting to the use of their name, 'Murphy' in the movie without getting a proper NOC from them for the use of their brand name in the film.

The name of Ranbir's character in the movie is Murphy but when he is asked of his name, he mumbles something that sounds like Barfi, as he is speech challenged.

Murphy Enterprises have complained about the use of their name at various points in the film and in the songs as well. They are planning to take legal action.

The makers of the film have not yet responded to this development.

Ileana D'Cruz is very happy with the warm response that she has received so far for her Bollywood debut 'Barfi!' directed by Anurag Basu.

The hot and sexy actor revealed that she was earlier offered an opportunity to work with Salman Khan in the Prabhu Deva directed 'Wanted  (2009)' which was the Hindi remake of the Telugu film 'Pokkiri (2006)' directed by Puri Jagannadh starring herself and Mahesh Babu in the lead.

"Albeit I was excited to work with Salman, I felt that I was not ready for Bollywood then. So I allowed the opportunity to slip through my fingers," said the goan beauty admitting that she would love to work with Salman if she's offered a chance again.

However, the 'Nanban' heroine was quick to clarify that she had no regrets about refusing the given opportunity to act with Salman Khan and was proud to make her Bollywood debut with 'Barfi!'.

Ileana D'Cruz is one of the hottest stars of the South Indian film industry. Her latest release Julayi is not only rocking the Andhra Pradesh theaters but also the theaters in Tamil Nadu with a record breaking performance.

The slender Goan beauty with a sexy body to die for, is not just adored for her perfect sandclock physique but is also for her mellifluous voice.

Being a capable singer herself, Ileana has always been drawn to good music and has expresses her desire to croon a number in one of her upcoming films.

Looks like Ileana is all set to become a musical Rockstar.

Southern sirens have a track record for doing well in Bollywood.

Vyjayanthimala, Hema Malini and Sridevi are yesteryear heroines who made it big in Bollywood. Recently Asin has joined these ladies with her clever career moves and Taapsee. Kajal Agarwal, Tamannah, Shruthi Haasan and Ileana are other famous actors down South who look promising to make it big in Bollywood.

Ileana, the slender hottie from Goa joins the Bollywood league by making her debut with Barfi featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

The trailer of 'Barfi' is out and Ileana has made an impact already. She has also landed a big project with Shahid Kapoor to be directed by Rajkumar Santhoshi.

Looks like Ileana is all set to give the Bollywood Queen Bees some tough competition!

Lingusamy's plans to remake his hit film Vettai in Hindi ran into troubled waters when there were problems encountered with the dialogues being translated into Hindi.

Lead actor, Shahid Kapoor said he will continue with the project only if they agreed to rope in a good Hindi dialogue writer. UTV and Lingusamy immediately brought in Prasoon Joshi and thanks to this clever move recommended by Shahid, everything started to go smoothly.

A visibly relieved Lingusamy said "It was a big load off my mind since I do not speak Hindi and I am still trying to understand the market". Shooting will begin in June. Ali Zafar will be playing Madhavan's role. Asked about the heroines, Lingusamy said, "Ileana D'Cruz is almost finalized to play the female lead".

Ileana may just agree to play the lead role in Lingusamy's Bollywood debut with Shahid Kapoor. This venture produced by UTV Motion Pictures is a remake of the Tamil hit 'Vettai' that had Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in the lead roles.

The Hindi remake of 'Vettai' which will also be produced by UTV Motion Pictures will have Shahid Kapoor and Ali Zafar reprising the roles made popular by Arya and Madhavan respectively.

It may be recalled that Lingusamy initially wanted Ileana opposite Arya for 'Vettai' but unfortunately things did not work out that he had to settle for Amala Paul.

There were reports earlier that Amala Paul may just get her Bollywood ticket this early in her career with the B-town remake of 'Vettai,' but if reports are to be believed, the director has requested Ileana to keep her dates free for the Hindi remake to have her romance Shahid in the role originally enacted by Amala Paul.

Lingusamy is ready to begin shooting for the film in May and the first schedule will he held in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Now all that remains is for the makers to finalize the rest of the cast too.

Okay, so we know that Nargis Fakhri has been confirmed to play Akshay Kumar's heroine in his next film, which he's co-producing with Himesh Reshammiya.

Interestingly, the model who made her debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for the Ashish R. Mohan directed film.

Reportedly, South Indian starlet Ileana D’Cruz was initially confirmed for the part. Seems there’s more buzz about Ranbir and Priyanka Chopra, her co-stars in her upcoming maiden Hindi release.

So turning apprehensive about how she turns out in her Bollywood debut, the makers of the Akshay-Himesh joint production decided to rope in Nargis instead, considering that her film has released… never mind if her performance has been panned.

Controversy continues to plague Ileana.

After the fiasco over the Jr. NTR film, Shakthi, it is Producer Mohan Natarajan who is furious with the Nanban actress.

According to Producer Mohan Natarajan, he had given Ileana an advance of Rs 50 lakhs for a film with Chiyaan Vikram that later had to be shelved for various reasons. He added that the actress is yet to return the money to him despite the status of the project.

Mohan Natarajan has filed a complaint with the Producers Council and has asked for immediate action to be taken against Ileana, on which the actress has declined to comment.

Ileana is currently busy with a couple of Bollywood projects including one with current sensation, Ranbir Kapoor.

Nanban is in trouble once again with the Most Backward Classes Association sending a notice to the Producers’ Council Chairman S.A Chandrasekar, director Shankar and the Censor Board seeking deletion of the words Aandi and Pandaram.

In the notice, it has been stated that Aandi and Pandaram community belong to the Most Backward Classes. It is hurting to hear dialogues about these communities in the film. Further, they have also sought the deletion of the words Paari, Poori, Kakoose Sorry.

It has been furthered that the community members will go on a fast until the offending words are deleted.

What more could an actor expect than getting a pat on the back from none other than the legendary Kamal Hassan?

Ulaga Nayagan who was at the Four Frame Preview theatre to watch the film Nanban on Saturday was all praises for Vijay.

Vijay accompanied Kamal for the screening of Nanban.

The film is one of the best things that has happened to Vijay in terms of collection and appreciation, it is stated by industry pundits.

Harris Jayaraj, the music director of Nanban, has said that the final mixing of the audio is currently on.

The musician is now focusing on Nanban’s music album as the plan is to launch the music during the first week of December.

With the deadline been set for the audio launch, Harris is concentrating on completing this within the expected time frame.

Meanwhile...,

"Nanban will hit the screens for Pongal 2012," stated director Shankar, who is very busy with the post-production work that is expected to be wrapped up soon.

The film’s dubbed version in Telugu, 3 Rascals, was originally planned to be released along with Nanban but now we hear the release has been postponed.

Vijay claims there have never been any kind of tension between him and Shankar during the filming of Nanban co-starring Ileana, Jiiva and Srikanth.

In a recent interview to a tabloid, Vijay mentioned of his friendship with director Shankar that runs way back to the days, when Shankar was assisting his father S.A. Chandrashekar.

"He is an absolute delight to work with and I enjoyed working with him in Nanban," said Vijay.

The actor was also content with good words about his costars Srikanth and Jiiva

Though Vijay’s penchant for mass masala themes is a common knowledge, the actor is consciously trying to change his image.

Choosing Gen Y directors like Shankar, Gautham Menon and Murugadoss for his future offerings after completing half century in Tamil cinema is proof of the same.

Reacting to this, Vijay said, “Whatever came my way I accepted it. Even now, these directors approached me with suitable scripts and I was too happy to be a part of it.”

Can we expect a new Vijay from these films?

“I also hope that they will project me differently,” mused Vijay.

The Velayudham star could not stop raving about director Shankar. “I will call him the Spielberg of India. His technical expertise simply amazes me. He acts out each and every scene including minute details, which made our job easier. I simply go to the spot without any preparation.”

Speculations that Vijay is appearing in a song donning up as Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in Nanban seem to be unsubstantiated.

A source close to director Shankar denied such scenes being a part of the film saying that there is no base for any such rumors to arise.

However, it's true that the film's lead Vijay and Ileana are appearing in four different garbs presumably as a tribute to the famous film stars in the industry.

But we will only get to know about that when the movie releases.

Now that Vijay’s ‘Velayutham’ is released the next release of Ilayathalapathy Vijay is the Shankar directed Nanban. The film has high expectations amd is much awaited as Vijay has teamed up with Shankar for the first time.

Nanban is expected to release during Pongal 2012.

‘Nanban’ is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Three Idiots’ with Vijay, Srikanth, Jiiva, Ileana D’ Cruz, Sathyaraj in lead roles with Anuya Bhagawath and S J Suryah playing pivotal ones. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music and the post production work for the film is full on.

Vijay plays an engineering college student, whose ideas are always out of the box. Jiiva and Srikanth are his friends. A major portion of the film was shot in Darjeeling and Ooty. Surprisingly Shankar has completed Nanban in a record time unlike the usual Shankar films that take at least a year to complete.

Shankar himself has said that Nanban has shaped out very well in all aspects and the highlight of the film will be its characters and the excellent performances of the stars.

Looks like Nanban will be a superb film to look out for . . .

Shankar's forthcoming multi-starrer featuring Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth and Ileana will see an audio release this December and will have five songs like its original, '3 Idiots'.

The music for 'Nanban' has been composed by Harris Jayaraj who is currently busy with his music tour, On The Edge.

The shooting has been wrapped as reported earlier and currently the dubbing work for the major portions has been completed as well.

The posters of 'Nanban' all confirm that the movie will see a Pongal 2012 release and the creative designs are unique by themselves, apt with the film's plot as the trio will be seen as college students and Sathyaraj as a taskmaster for a college head.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently promoting Rockstar, clears the air about his next venture Barfee, saying it is a romantic-comedy set in 1970s and not a serious film.

"It is not a special character, people are just blowing it out of proportion. The treatment to the character and film is not serious at all. It is a romantic-comedy which has been set in 1970s. My character is very fun-loving (awaara types)," said Ranbir.

The actor plays a deaf and dumb person, Priyanka will be seen as a mentally-challenged girl and Ileana D'Cruz will be seen as a narrator.

Ranbir says "People are perceiving Barfee as a serious film because Anurag Basu is helming it. But he is completely a child at heart and it has been fun working with him teaming up with Priyanka Chopra after Anjaana Anjaani," and added that "Ileana is very fun loving and is professional at the same time. She's amazing and its a treat to work with her."

It is a common trend to see that two well known heroines working in the same film end up having a cat fight or a cold war.

Well, something of this sort has been reportedly happening between the pout lipped beauty Priyanka Chopra and the sexy hip beauty Ileana on the sets of Barfee.

Grapevine is strong that both have not been gelling that well. However, this was quashed as a rumour by Priyanka Chopra's sources and they maintain that she is totally into her role that's why she is keeping to herself.

There has been a lot of bad press for Ileana in recent times accusing the actress being a tantrum - throwing, unprofessional diva.

Farah Khan, one of the top choreographers in the country as well as director of hit films like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om dismisses these reports as vicious fabrications.

Farah said that she has worked with Ileana on the sets of Shankar's forthcoming film Nanban that stars Vijay, Jiiva and Srikanth in the lead roles adding that she found Ileana to be the consummate professional.

"Ileana is an absolute trooper. She had her legs badly injured performing some intricate dance sequences and wanted to continue despite being in pain," said Farah.

Farah further defended the slender Goan beauty requesting the libelous reports about Ileana to be neglected.

Well there is some news making rounds in Kollywood regarding Superstar's period film 'Rana' being directed by KS Ravikumar. Superstar will be joining the filming team soon and the latest reports indicate that Goan babe Ileana has been roped in to play one of the Superstar's heroines.

Since the film will see Superstar in three different roles spanning different generations, and Deepika has bagged one of the main slots, Superstar's pairs for the other two roles were under discussion. Though many popular names of leading actresses were discussed, sources close to the 'Rana' team have reportedly revealed that Ileana will be sharing screen space with the Thalaivar.

There has been no confirmation regarding this neither from director Ravi Kumar's office nor from the actress involved. But Ileana's career seems to be getting better by the day. The actress is at the moment working with director Shankar's team in 'Nanban' where she will be seen opposite Vijay.

Now if there is an official confirmation that Ileana has confirmed her place in 'Rana' then it will do a whole lot of good to the actress' already impressive career profile.
