Ajith’s next with Vishnuvardhan is all set to go on floor on the 30th day of May, 2012. The yet to be titled has already started making buzz boasting of Arya, Nayantara and Taapsee.

Recently there were reports that the team is likely to rope Arvind Swamy and Prithviraj in important roles in the film. Now the news is that director Vishnuvardhan is in talks with Telugu superstars Nagarjuna, Jagapathi Babu and Ravi Teja.

If everything goes well, we hear the Telugu stars will do guest roles in the film.

Along with the cameos by Superstars, the film would have Yuvan Shankar Raja’s ecstatic music, Vinod's topnotch cinematography and Sreekar Prasad’s flawless editing as other highlights of the film.

Director Sasikumar of Subramaniapuram fame makes acting debut in Malayalam with Masters that has Prithviraj, Ananya and Piaa Bajpai in the leading roles.

Masters, directed by Johny Antony is an upcoming Malayalam action thriller film that revolves around the friendship of two childhood friends who join hands to unravel the mystery behind a horrendous incident despite having landed in two separate careers.

Prithviraj plays ASP Sriramakrishnan, an impulsive police officer and Sasikumar plays Milan Paul, a news reporter.

The film is in the post production stage and Sasikumar’s look in the film is the talk of the town.

The film is expected to be released by the end of March.

Kochadaiyaan, Soundarya Rajinikanth’s mega budget film has been the talk of the town since its initiation. Beginning with the long line of prominent actors in its cast followed by the rift between the two sisters Soundarya and Aishwarya over release dates, Rajinikanth’s health and finally now the poster.

The poster shows Rajinikanth portraying one of Lord Shiva’s poses. He sports long hair and a beard along with accessories on his hair, neck and leg. While the physique looks like the work of a ‘mouse’ we are sure Rajini’s fans will be over-thrilled to see the actor in the new avatar.

In the film however, Rajini plays an eighth century Pandya king who is known for his legendary valour. Soundarya released the first look of the film on Twitter. The music of the film is by A.R Rahman while K.S Ravikumar will wield the megaphone.

Rajinikanth alongside an ensemble cast including R.Sarathkumar, Katrina Kaif, Sneha, Aadhi, Shobana, Nasser and Jackie Shroff will be featured in Kochaidaiyaan, the first of its kind in Tamil cinema in terms of using motion capture technology. With cinematography handled by Rajiv Menon and background score and soundtrack .composed by Maestro A.R Rahman, the film is being directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth under K.S. Ravikumar's supervision who has penned the screenplay and dialogues.

While we eagerly wait for the film to hit the screens, tell us what you think about the poster.

Soundarya Rajini has said that it is true that the work on Kochadaiyaan has begun but the reports that the shooting has commenced is false.

The newbie director says that it is a pleasure to work with her dad and the work has started already. She made it clear that the shooting of Kochadaiyaan has not yet begun as some groundwork needs to be completed before beginning the first schedule.

The star cast in Kochadaiyaan includes Rajinikanth, Katrina Kaif, Sarath Kumar, Prithviraj, Aadhi, Sneha and Nasser. The music of the film would be by Oscar winner A.R Rahman and KS Ravi Kumar is penning the story, screenplay and dialogues for Kochadaiyaan.

While it was reported that Sonu Sood had bought the rights of the song "Appadi Podu" which he was planning to use in his forthcoming film, we now hear that Akshay Kumar has managed to convince Sonu and has bought the rights for the chartbuster, which he will be using in his upcoming film, "Naam Hai Boss".

"Sonu had bought the rights from the audio label but Akshay made a special request to Sonu and now has the rights for the song," says our sources from Bollywood.

Naam Hai Boss, the source adds, is a remake of the 2010 Malayalam blockbuster 'Pokkiri Raja', with Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead.

While Akshay will be playing Mammootty's role, Prithviraj's role will be played by Pakistani model-turned-actor Imran Abbas. The film will be directed by Anthony D'Souza.

Director Biju had recently accused Prithviraj of backing out of his project, Doctor Love at the nth hour which had caused trouble for the director as the producers also had walked off leaving him in the lurch.

Prithviraj clarified that Biju had discussed the film with him and he had merely said that the script had potential though it still needed work and had to be redrafted.

The actor mentioned that he had only said that he'd consider working on the project after seeing the final draft.

Later Prithviraj had been flummoxed when the director started hurling accusations at him.

The actor said that the director should show proof before making such charges. He added however that though the experience had been hurtful, he still thinks Biju is very talented.

The dusky Trisha Krishnan has a huge fan base in Kerala, thanks to the popularity of Tamil and Telugu films down there. However, the actor kept refusing roles in Mollywood, despite the fact that several of her contemporaries gladly accepted them and garnered critical acclaim.

After 12 years of avoiding Malayalam films later, Trisha has taken the plunge and signed a film with Prithviraj.

Was it the success of her Malayalee Christian character in last year’s Tamil superhit Vinnaithandi Varuvaayaa that made Trisha warm up to Kerala, or is there truth in the rumours that roles from other industries are hard to come by?

In either case, Mollywood is quite excited about the latest entrant who will appear in director Deepan’s next venture titled Hero.

'Hero' has been scripted by Vinod Guruvayoor and there are rumours that Tamil star Srikanth may be roped in to play a negative role in it. You may recall that Srikanth played the lead in Kanakanden, Prithviraj’s debut Tamil film that had him essay a negative character. Looks like it is payback time for Srikanth, as the two actors are known to be quite friendly with each other after their first movie together.

Others in the cast of Hero include Thalaivasal Vijay, Nedumudi Venu, Arun, Anil Murali, Guinness Pakru and Kottayam Nazeer.

Shriya Saran will once again team up with Prithviraj to scorch the screens in the Malayalam movie Hero.

The film is scheduled to begin production in November and will be directed by Deepan.

Earlier, Trisha was rumoured to play the lead actress in the movie, making it her debut vehicle in the Malayalam cinema, but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts. Deepan confirms that Shriya will now play the role.

This will be Shriya's third Malayalam movie after the Mammootty-Prithviraj hit Pokkirri Raja and Mohanlal's Casanova. Hero will also star Srikanth in an important role.

Amala Paul recently got the opportunity to act with Prithviraj in a Malayalam film. The actress was very happy as Malayalam is her mother tongue, and Prithviraj is a huge star.

Unfortunately Amala couldn't accept the offer as the production crew wanted bulk dates from her in July and she had already given those dates for Mupozhudum Un Karpanai with Atharva.

The pretty actress had no choice but to refuse.

She said that since her career in Tamil films is looking good, she intends to stay focused and make Tamil cinema her priority for the moment.

All her forthcoming films are good projects that offer her plenty of scope to perform, so Amala Paul says she is very happy and content.

Actor Prithviraj tied the nuptial knot with Mumbai-based BBC journalist Supriya Menon at the Kandath heritage villa at Thenkurissy Village in Palakkad district on Monday, April 25th 2011.

Supriya Menon, who arrived for the marriage along with her father Vijay K Menon and mother Padma, friends and relatives, is a native of Shantinagar in Palakkad. Heavy security was arranged at the resort in connection with the marriage.

Supriya Menon wore a gold colour cream saree while Prithviraj appeared in mundu and kurtha.

Though the local photographers and television channels were not allowed inside the resort, over a dozen private photographers covered the function.

Prithviraj married Supriya Menon on 25/04/2011It is learnt that even the mobile phones of over two dozen staff members of the resort were confiscated and switched off to keep the whole affair private. After the marriage Prithviraj and Supriya Menon went to Ernakulam, without speaking to the journalists waiting outside the gate.

The marriage ceremony was a private affair with only close friends and family attending the intimate ceremony. His special day was far away from the spotlight and the media frenzy as he wished and has planned for a grand reception at the Le Meridien in Ernakulam on May 1.
