Ramya Krishnan is turning producer. Her first venture will be directed by hubby Krishna Vamsi, who is a famous Telugu director.
Vamsi has readied the script already and is just waiting to finalize the cast.
Ramya wants good friend, Trisha to play the female lead since she is the numero uno actress in the South today and had to say that the part was perfect for Trisha's talents.
Trisha although being a busy bee is expected to join hands with Ramya Krishnan on this untitled project once she finishes her ongoing shooting for Mankatha and the Telugu remake of Bodyguard with Venkatesh.
Ramya Krishnan is in a world of trouble as a bailable arrest warrant has been issued against her and Vinaya Krishnan, her sister. This took place following a complaint filed by Kutti Padmini, who has claimed that the two of them violated a contractual agreement.
The furor is over the serial Kalasam aired on Sun TV, which as stipulated by the contract, Kutti Padmini would serve as the creative head and be paid accordingly, but according to her this agreement was not honored.
The concerned parties were at loggerheads over this earlier and their dispute was settled by members of the Society of Television Production, South India and a fresh contract was drawn up that was agreed upon by all concerned.
Things came to a head again when Kalasam was aired in Andhra without Kutti Padmini in its credits and Kutti Padmini has asserted the deletion of her involvement as a violation of the contract and has acquired an arrest warrant issued against actress Ramya Krishan.
Ramya, however was unavailable to comment on this but we hear her lawyer is trying to have this warrant revoked to keep her from troubles that are to surface again.
