Director A.R Murugadoss is gearing up for his next project with Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The filmmaker, who received mixed response from both audience and the critics for his recently released 7am Arivu, is all set to start his next biggie in Thiruchendur, Thoothukudi district.

The makers of the film have decided to launch the forthcoming multilingual movie at the Thiruchendur Murugan temple, one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga.

The story of the movie will start from the seaside and then moves on to Mumbai, where the major part of the movie will be shot. It is said to be a gangster film and is touted to be an action-packed film.

Sources say that the movie will have two female leads.

Kingfisher model Angela Johnson has been signed to be one of the leading ladies and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is being considered to be the other. The movie is produced by Vijay's father S.A Chandrasekhar and Santosh Sivan is reported to have signed as the cinematographer of this upcoming movie that is still under wraps.

Vijay’s next film to be directed by AR Murugadoss is taking a good shape despite the director being very busy with 7aam Arivu’s audio launch and movie release.

The latest we hear on this project from the sources in Kollywood is that the director of photography for the Vijay-starrer will be Santhosh Sivan.

Grapevine has it that Harris Jayaraj may be the music director for this flick but this has not been finalized as yet.

With AR Murugadoss completing 7aam Arivu and Vijay free of Nanban, we can expect an announcement on their project soon.

Director A R Murgodoss has completed the ambitious 7am Arivu with Suriya and Shruti Hassan and the wait is now for his next film with Vijay that is all set to roll.

Vijay had been busy with Velayudham and Nanban whereas Murugadoss is wrapped up with Engeyum Epodhum (as a producer) and Now that the duo is done with their prior commitments, their film together will begin filming in the last week of September.

Neither of them are willing to say much about the project and the hunt is on for the heroine. But Santhosh Sivan and Harris Jayaraj are a part of this project and will be lending their expertise in cinematography and music respectively. Aascar Ravichandran and Chandrasekhar will be jointly producing the film and Fox Star Studios will give it a worldwide release.
