Shahrukh Khan's new movie titled 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' is set to release on Diwali day. The first look posters have been released too. The King Khan's market pervades all over the world and his films open strongly even in Tamil Nadu.

Over the years, by some coincidence or the other, Vijay's films also release on Diwali day and they invariably clash with the films of Bollywood's Baadshah Shahrukh Khan.

It was Vijay's 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan' vs SRK's 'Om Shanti Om' in 2007. In 2011, it was 'Velayudham' vs 'Ra. One'. This year, history repeats itself yet again as SRK's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' will compete with Vijay's 'Thuppakki' for a share of the Diwali box-office pie in Tamil Nadu.

A super battle ahead! Shahrukh has Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif for company in this movie and both these stars are popular with TN audiences as well. A.R Rahman scores the music for this SRK starrer and the Mozart of Madras commands his own opening. For Thuppakki, Vijay has a strong technical team backing him with Kajal Aggarwal for company. On the whole, Diwali day is going to see fireworks on the cinema screen as well.

Yash Chopra, the star-maker, is back to direction after a gap of 8 years with SRK, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The first teaser of the much-awaited film released with Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger.

The teaser begins with a note by Yash Chopra which says:

"Films have been my only passion in life.
I've always been proud of making films
and will continue taking pride in all my films.
"

                                                                            -   Yash Chopra

The teaser then shows Yash Chopra behind the camera and proceeds with the clippings of his various unforgettable films. His 50 golden years in direction saw films like Dhool Ka Phool, Waqt, Daag, Deewaar, Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni, Lamhe, Darr, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer Zaara and many other movies.

This Diwali, the magic of Yash Chopra's romantic films would be revived with this yet-untitled musical film.

The teaser introduces the main characters - Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Shah Rukh is seen in this kind of avatar after a long time. Katrina and Anushka look fresh. Yash Chopra surely knows how to present his heroines in the best possible way.

The film's music is composed by AR Rahman and the lyrics are penned by Gulzar.

The movie's title continues to be a mystery as the teaser wraps up with a tagline - A Yash Chopra romance. The film will hit the theatres on November 13 this year.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) officials says that their next production, directed by head honcho Yash Chopra, is not titled "London Ishq", as has been reported in certain sections of the media.

"Despite repeated confirmations that Yash Chopra`s film still remains untitled, large sections of the media continue to call it `London Ishq`. This is completely baseless, inaccurate and detrimental to the film," said an official statement from YRF.

The yet-to-be titled film, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, started shooting for its first schedule in the third week of February in London. It has been creating a huge buzz all over since the first look was unveiled.

The film also brings together the Oscar award-winning pair of A.R.Rahman and Gulzar, who along with Chopra, are working on creating some wonderful and meaningful music.

Scheduled for a Diwali release, the film is expected to add the same fervour to the festive time that Chopra`s films are known for.

Every actor craves for good scripts and roles and 'Band Baaja Baaraat' sensation Anushka Sharma has no qualms in accepting her craving for it. But seems like her deeply-rooted faith revolves around Yashraj banner only.

Getting used to big hits and big roles at an initial stage of her career, Anushka gets miffed for being labelled for her association with Yashraj Banner.

"I don't work for production houses. I only work for good scripts and roles. If you follow my career graph you will find that I have not given a single flop yet in my career. I am proud of it. I am doing films from this banner because of the fact that I am getting good scripts from them. I will keep doing that till they offer me good roles and films as they have the maximum understanding and respect for my talent. You can not streamline yourself to such a narrow-way by sticking to just one production house or even one film director," said the favourite actor of Yashraj camp adding "I am doing Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Matru ki Biwi Ka Mann Dola' which is from a different banner."

It is indeed a surprise, when one can wonder how Anushka Sharma got one film that comes from a different banner.

Talking about her smashing chemistry with Ranveer Anushka says, "People do talk about our chemistry and I just need to say that we are not calculating our relationship. The kind of similarity we shared in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' is sort of similar but not entirely similar in real life as well. There was definitely no overt description of love in the film and similarly in the real life. Ours is a very strange relationship. There are times when we can't stand each other; at times we are on back slapping terms. Its very informal relationship and bit complicated as well."

Sporting a bikini has become a part-n-parcel of movies these days.

Following the trend, hottie Anushka Sharma will be seen sporting a dark chocolate coloured hot bikini in her forthcoming film LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL.

Though the sultry siren has already donned a yellow bikini in BADMAASH COMPANY (yet another YRF movie), Anushka looked smoking hot flaunting her hot-bod in a ultra-glam bikini once again.

Looks like, Anushka has well toned up her body for the film!

Starring Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Dipannita Sharma, Aditi Sharma and Parineeti Chopra, LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL is directed by Maneesh Sharma. The movie is all set to release on 9th December, 2011.

Don't miss the trailer that features the above mentioned bikini dip.

Actor Ranveer Singh seems to have beefed up for 'Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl' as the first look of the film shows him flaunting his six-pack abs.

The poster shows Ranveer posing shirtless with a toned up physique and the tagline reads - Ladies Beware! Ricky Bahl is coming.

After the stupendous success of 'Band Baaja Baaraat', Ranveer is once again teaming up with Anushka Sharma for the romantic comedy, which releases Dec 9.

What's common between Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone and Anushka? Well, besides the fact that they are super famous and powerful, they all hail from Karnataka.

With their stupendous success in movies, Sandalwood certainly seems to have lost out on cashing in on their charm and popularity. Here are a few well known stars whose names are synonymous with beauty and popularity

Aishwarya Rai:This dancer-turned-model with the most attractive eyes hails from Mangalore. She debuted in Mani Ratnam's Tamil biopic Iruvarand did a couple of Tamil and Hindi movies that were not much to talk about. However, her performance in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanamestablished her as a good actress and she was flooded with offers from Bollywood. Her marriage into the Bachchan Khandaanonly enhanced her star power. Sandalwood's dream of getting her to feature in a Kannada movie still remains a distant dream.

Anushka sharma:Another Bangalore beauty who completed her education in Bangalore. However, her modelling career took her to Mumbai and after she bagged the role in Shah Rukh Khan's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, she's been on a roll. Her popularity has grown by the day and looks like she too will join the list of others who made a quiet exit from Bangalore and will always remain elusive to Sandalwood.

Anushka Shetty:This Mangalore-born bunt beauty like others did her schooling and college in Bangalore. However, her entry to tinsel town was with a Telugu movie. The rest, like they say was history. With her mind blowing performances in movies like Arundhati, she's now become the queen of Tollywood. No talk of her doing any Kannada movies yet.

Deepika Padukone:This long legged Konkani lass is the most sought-after actress in the film industry. Deepika did her schooling and college in Bangalore and started modelling when she bagged her first movie. Even though her debut was in Kannada with Upendra's Aishwarya, she has always been considered a hot Bollywood babe. Deepika too hasn't had the time to look back since then. It's Hindi movie all the way for this Bangalore chick! Her only connection to Bangalore right now is her link-up with the liquor Baron's son Sidhartha Mallya.

Lara Dutta:Nobody expected this Bangalore-bred former Miss Universe would enter films. However, even after her debut with a Tamil film Arasatchi, Sandalwood gave her a royal ignore. Post that, Lara starred in many Hindi movies that went on to become a hit. And now, with her expecting a child with tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi, it isn't likely that she will act in movies any time soon. Hard luck again!

Seems like Anushka Sharma has been reduced to nothing but a puppet of Yash Raj Films.

Apparently, she has been asked by the production house not to retaliate about her alleged affairs with Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

A source said, “Anushka isn’t the kind who’ll hide things for the heck of it. But she has been advised by the YRF officials not to talk about her personal life to the media.”

However, it was the most recent Shahid Kapoor allegation that made her see red. So she chose to seek Shahid’s help itself to clear the air.

“She will be allowed to talk to the press only during the promotion of the film Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl. But Shahid has promised to bail her out in the time being,” added the source.

After all, what are “just good friends” for?

Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma had a crackling chemistry in the movie Badmaash Company. We now we hear that director Maneesh Sharma of 'Band Baaja Baraat' is keen to cast the jodi for his third film.

Director Maneesh Sharma has found his muse. After working with Anushka in Band Baaja Baraat, he signed her again for Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl opposite Ranveer Singh, and is now planning to rope her in for his third film as well.

Anushka, who is called the blue-eyed girl of Yashraj Films was the natural choice for the role as she has delivered brilliant performances right from her first film and Maneesh couldn’t think of anyone else than Shahid Kapoor, as he liked the actor in Mausam.

As a source tells a daily, “Their (Anushka-Shahid) on-screen chemistry was so convincing that many thought that it stemmed from an off-screen romance.” But isn’t Maneesh busy with Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl which is supposedly releasing coming December?

The smart aleck has already started working on his third venture and is simultaneously thinking how the movie will progress. The film is said to be scripted by Jaideep Sahni, who has earlier written scripts of three superhits - Chak De India, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Bunty Aur Babli.

The movie will go on floors next year and Anushka and Shahid are reportedly adjusting their dates for it.

Shahid Kapoor is not the one to take things lying down.

After lashing out at a movie critic for slamming his film Mausam, Shahid Kapoor fumed on twitter after reports suggested that he and Anushka Sharma kissed each other at a recent bash thrown by Imran Khan.

Shahid Kapoor wrote: “Extremely distasteful story today ...some journalists need to really understand where to draw the line between imagination and Reality . Sad . Unfair . Makes me angry..”

He added: “If nothing else they need to respect the dignity of a girl !!!!!”

Shahid also said that though he usually does not respond to such stories, this time he felt that the journalist had crossed the limits: “I usually don't react to any of these stories but this one was just a bit much.”

A daily had reported that Anushka Sharma and Shahid Kapoor were caught while sharing a cozy moment with each other and their source was quoted as saying: “The duo were incontrollable and were on top of each other. It was only when another celebrity guest told them that the media were still downstairs and they could easily be spotted that they decided to come back inside.”

He is just one film old and has been bombarded with attention but actor Ranveer Singh is not complaining because he says his sole motto in life has been to get attention.

The 26-year-old actor, who became a hot property in Bollywood after the phenomenal success of his debut film, Band Baaja Baaraat, says he is an attention seeker and can do anything to get it.

"I have always been this attention seeker. I do things just to get attention. I love the claps, the whistles. Whatever I do, I do for it. I love adulation of any kind," Ranveer said.

The actor who walked the ramp for designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour and broke out into the famous hand movement from his hit song Ainvayi Ainvayi, said that he couldn't help doing the filmy step.

"As an actor I feel compelled to do something with my fingers, my hands, my face. It is a natural instinct. I am at times Bittu (his character in Band Baaja...) in real life," he said.

Ranveer, who swept all male debutant awards last year at major functions, credits Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to be the inspiration behind his filminess.

"I love Shah Rukh (Khan). He is my inspiration. I take cues from him, be it in my acting or otherwise. Like him, I also have been bitten by the filmy bug very early in life and hence I show my antics all the time," he said.

The actor, who will be next seen playing a conman in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, which also stars Anushka Sharma, model Dipannita Sharma and debutant Parineeti Chopra, is very excited for the release of his second film.

"The film is a romantic comedy in which I play a conman and I am very excited about it. I am also a con in real life at times."

He usually looks dapper in his clothes but Ranveer says that he is a very poor dresser and needs serious help whenever he has to go for an important event.

"I always want to look like James Bond. But I am a very poor dresser, so I have people to help me out. My wardrobe is full of under wears, a lot of them," he said.

Rumours have been rife with Ranveer's involvement with actress' Anushka Sharman and Sonakshi Sinha and when asked which contemporary actress is his favourite, he dodged the question saying he would love to work with his seniors in the industry like Kareena and Madhuri.

"I want to work with Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukherji, Kareena Kapoor. I can learn a lot from these leading ladies," he said.

Ekta Kapoor was detained last night at Mumbai airport for alleged duty violation, joining the list of recent Bollywood figures to have been intercepted by customs officials.

The producer was stopped by officials when she tried to pass the green channel — meant for those who have no goods on which duties can be levied — soon after her arrival from Bangkok.

According to officials, Ekta’s personal baggage had items worth Rs 1 lakh above the free limit allowed to those returning from abroad.

Officials ran a one-and-a-half hour check of her baggage, following which she was asked to pay the tax and a penalty. “Duty was charged on the goods she was carrying apart from a fine and penalty below Rs 1 lakh for non-declaration,” said customs commissioner.

Ekta left around midnight after paying Rs 53,000, including the fine. Other customs officials called the incident “routine” saying Ekta was merely made to pay a penalty. They said she wasn’t questioned or made to record statements, unlike actresses Minissha Lamba and Anushka Sharma.

Anushka had to go through a three-hour verification of documents for jewellery and watches worth Rs 30 lakh she was carrying while returning from the IIFA awards in Toronto in June.

In May, Minissha was stopped and had to record her statement after she failed to produce papers for the jewellery of a brand she endorsed on returning from Cannes.

We all have heard it a zillion times that they are not dating, but 'Band Baaja Baarat' co-stars Ranveer Singh and Anushka have always managed to dodge the question with weird explanations of why they are not dating. Here comes another one from Ranveer Singh!

Recently, one of the most eligible bachelors of B-town revealed on Star World's celebrity chat show 'Simi Selects India's Most Desirable' that though he's attracted to the 'Rab Ne Bana De Jodi' actress, they aren't an item.

When asked how he could resist her, Ranveer replied, “It’s not easy. Look at her. She’s beautiful. She’s a stunner…She is this most amazing amalgamation of beauty and talent and intelligence and wit…I am awestruck by her!

So why isn’t he dating her? “I do get attracted to her at times. It’s hard (to stay away). I am not good enough to be Anushka Sharma’s boyfriend.”

Singh, who was even caught kissing Sharma on an actor's birthday bash, went on to elaborate, “She’s so beautiful; I am not that good looking. She’s so talented; I am not so talented… she deserves someone better than me and that’s why I would not put her through me. I think Anushka deserves better than me. I am not good for Anushka… period.”

Good effort, Ranveer!

I can do a $ex scene with Anushka – Ranveer

However, ask them about their compatibility on camera, and both agree that they get along like a house on fire.

Ranveer even went on to add that he is comfortable in shooting intimate scene with Anushka. “I can do a $ex scene with Anushka again because she’s a very supportive co-star.”

The actor was also all praises for her rumored girlfriend's professionalism and acting.

Ranveer gets candid about his first break

The 23-year-old actor, who has become popular with girls after his debut film, said that he had his share of struggles before entering the mainstream cinema.

“Things got really bad as my struggle period coincided with recession, so I really hit rock bottom. My family was also not having the best of time financially. But my family is my grounding experience,” he adds.

However, soon, the actor got his break. “First time in their history, YRF (Yash Raj Films) launched a lead solo hero who was a newcomer.” And now, he says, he has “no time to pause and see what all is happening around.”

Host Simi Garewal has managed to get the Bollywood newcomer Ranveer Singh to rap on her show.

She will get the actor talking on a lot of topics, right from his entry into the world of films, his one-time bad experience with casting couch and his much talked-about chemistry with co-star Anushka Sharma.

"I haven't had a chance to pause and take in all that has happened to me" explains the " Band Baaja Baaraat" superstar. His performance was not just loved by the audience, but was also noticed by the legends of Bollywood. Says the Bandra boy, "Shah Rukh Khan called and praised me for my performance in "BBB"." Although he has no time for a girlfriend he had a lot to say about co-star Anushka Sharma. "She is amazing and beautiful and tough to resist", reveals the actor! When asked why then is he not dating her, Ranveer replied, "I'm not good enough for her"! He also showed his emotional side when he broke down during the show after hearing the praise and accolades from his parents.

What was evident was the way in which he charmed the audience. He created a mass hysteria when he made them sing to his tune on "Chumma Chumma". He also danced with a girl from the audience. The talented youngster also stunned everyone on the set with a rap song and dance routine that summarised his journey through Bollywood and ended with a message from "BBB" - 'Bread pakode ki kasam'. The show ended with the girls in the audience screaming for one hug from the actor with one girl actually breaking down as she wanted to hug him! Watch Ranveer Singh unplugged on "Simi Selects India's Most Desirable", tonight.

It was rumored that Anushka Sharma is dating her co-actor Ranveer Singh from Band Baaja Baarat, but the star has been denying the speculations.

When questioned by the host Simi Garewal on the show India’s Most Desirable, Anushka Sharma said that she is more than open to the idea of an arranged marriage.

When asked whether marriage is important to her, Anushka Sharma said: “Absolutely. It is very important. I want to be married and have kids. And when I’m married, I probably do not want to continue working.”

“I would prefer an arranged marriage,” Anushka Sharma confessed.

Anushka Sharma’s mother, Ashima Sharma, said: “I don’t think she will marry a boy from Bollywood. She is not interested in Bollywood types. I think she will go for an arranged marriage only.”

Father Ajay Sharma added, “She has always been insisting and even now says she wants to get married only if its going to be an arranged marriage. She has even asked us to start looking for a suitable groom for her.”

It looks like Anushka Sharma is taking the traditional route and seeking her parents to find the right match for her! We wish the star all the best and look forward to her finding her Mr. Right!

Bharath is one of the talented actors in Kollywood who started his career with the sensational film Boys more than eight years ago.

Although he was well received with Boys smashing several records, Bharath established himself as an actor with another film Kadhal that later on was declared to be a big hit.

In his recentl film Vaanam, Bharath had an important role to play and the actor has now made shocking revelations during the making of this film.

A source close to Bharath said that the actor felt that he was sidelined in the promotions of ‘Vaanam‘, and all the attention was given to Simbhu that had upset and angered Bharath.

Bharath himself said that, “Before accepting the offer, I was told that the cast of Vaanam has Simbhu, Anushka, Prakashraj and Sonia Agarwal alongside with equal importance given to everybody in the cast.

But to my shock, I realized that I was fooled only during the release of the film,” said the actor.

Bharath is however very confident that all his future films like Yuvan Yuvathi, Thiruthani and 555 will be good films and he would not have bitter experience again.

The source revealed that Bharath has been working very hard for the success of these films and to establish himself as a big star.

After actors such as John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Abhay Deol have comfortably opened up, showing their ‘real self’ in the show, Simi Selects India’s Most Desirable, this week, it was actor Anushka Sharma’s turn to speak her heart out.

In the show, the actor, who debuted in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, opposite Shah Rukh Khan, claims that she is “not dating” actor Ranveer Singh.

“I like him, he’s attractive but we are very different people. We have a very volatile relationship, we can actually kill each other and I am serious,” she says.

“I can take his head off, he can take mine off, and we are quite like that. Me and Ranveer are quite the opposites. We see life in a very different way. He is a very practical person and I am completely impractical. For me a relationship can’t be frivolous; I need to be with a man, who can calm me down if need be. Else, it would not be a good relationship,” says the actor.

Adding that she thinks that they are both not ready to be in a relationship right now. “I think Ranveer is not ready to be in a relationship right now, I’m definitely not,” says Anushka.

On being asked if marriage is important to her she says, “Absolutely. It’s very important. I want to be married and have kids, and when I’m married I probably do not want to be working.”

So, when question if she like to go for an arranged marriage? “Yes, I would prefer that,” concluded the actor.

Simi Garewal's show is always in news for some reason or the other.

Simi's show 'Simi Selects India's Most Desirable' is being talked about as actors like John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Abhay Deol have confronted about their real selves and personal relations.

This week's episode has Bollywood's sexy siren Anushka Sharma as the guest.

Anushka spoke about her school days besides her life and career.

"Boys used to call me SODA in school days," she said. SODA means Serving Officers Daughters Association.

"I miss those days when I had a very protected life that one could get close and bond with other army people that they gradually would become your extended family.

Even today I could be stranded in any part of the country, be it a small city, town or district. I just have to find the closest army cantonments and I'll be at home. When I see an army uniform, I feel so happy," concluded Anushka.

Well we wonder if your 'close friend' Ranveer Singh likes to call you SODA!

One of the most promising actresses of Hindi cinema, Anushka Sharma is seriously looking for an image makeover.

Anushka wants to get hot and spice it up on the screen as she has been playing girl-next-door type of roles until now and she feels that more has to be done to break into the big league.

If rumors are to be believed Anushka Sharma is likely to don a bikini in her next film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.

Anushka has been working out rigorously to get a bikini perfect physique and has shed many kilos looking fabulous than ever. But somehow, Anushka isn’t very happy with her look as she wants to have a wonderful body before slipping in to the two piece.

The Sharma girl is leaving no stone unturned to get her bikini act right. Looks like Anushka's fans are in for a real treat!

A witness recounts the Band Baaja Baaraat actor's "loud behaviour" during an awards function held in the Canadian city recently.

He is known as Bollywood's attention-seeker, and Ranveer Singh makes no bones about it either. However, Singh's antics at a recently-concluded awards function in Toronto made heads turn.

Apparently, the actor was all over the place, interacting only with those who could make a difference to his career, say sources. The actor, who is just one film old, was seen vying for Karan Johar's attention. An actor who was witness to Singh's "loud behaviour" says, "Ranveer was constantly trying to create a tamasha in Toronto. He would either lunge towards people for a hug or a fall at their feet, depending on their seniority. This was done more in the spirit of exhibitionism than reverence. Mujhe dekh - that was the invisible logo on his T-shirt."

Apparently, Singh is sold on doing a film for Johar's Dharma Productions (but then, who isn't?). And, if sources are to be believed, Johar intends to cast the over-exuberant actor.

Says the witness, "In Toronto, Ranveer was trying to prove how close he is to Karan. Every time he saw Karan, he would rush and make audible statements about working together. It was quite embarrassing to be around him. A bit of subtlety would have been nice." "Even when he was sitting in the audience while the awards ceremony was on, Singh made sure people noticed him. He was acting the part of a go-getter all through."

We tried getting Singh's version of the flamboyant opera, but the actor didn't respond to calls and SMSes.
