Lingusamy is planning to remake his Arya-Madhavan starrer Vettai in Hindi.

The director had approached Asin to reprise the role of Sameera Reddy, who played the wife of Madhavan and elder sibling of Amala Paul in the film.

But Asin seems to have turned down the offer.

“Right now I’m not ready to take up films that have multiple heroines. I definitely cannot do the role of an elder sister. And I also have some date issues,” said Asin justifying her decision to turn down Lingusamy.

It is reliably learnt that Hansika Motwani has been roped in to play the lead opposite Naga Chaitanya in his next flick. This film directed by Kishore is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster 'Vettai' that had Arya and Amala Paul in the lead roles.

The baby faced actress is currently busy shooting for Tamil films 'Settai', 'Vaalu' and 'Vettai Mannan' and also has Singam II in her kitty. The actor's last Telugu release was the Siddharth starrer, "Oh My Friend" that failed to live up to the expectations at the Box Office.

This yet to be titled Telugu remake of 'Vettai' will have Naga Chaitanya playing the role enacted by Arya and Hansika paired opposite him for the first time. Sunil has agreed to play Naga Chaitanya's brother in the movie and the filmmakers are currently looking for another female lead to be cast opposite him.

Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the movie that is set to start shooting from the last week of June.

Sources close to the producer say that an official announcement is on the way.

Sameera Reddy is the talk of the town for the high octane stunts that she had pulled off in Tezz.

Tezz, the multistarrer that has Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Zayed Khan and Sameera Reddy is directed by veteran film maker Priyadharshan.

For the film Tezz, Sameera performed risky stunts like riding a Speed bike and a canoe under supervision of a Hollywood stunt team in Scotland that was responsible for the action scenes in Harry Potter.

According to Sameera, the hard work she had put in was absolutely worth it as she has been getting a wonderful response. Her newfound popularity in Bollywood has not caused her to forget South cinema and said that she is looking forward to doing more films in Tamil and Telugu and hopefully, she will be offered some wild roles!

Ileana may just agree to play the lead role in Lingusamy's Bollywood debut with Shahid Kapoor. This venture produced by UTV Motion Pictures is a remake of the Tamil hit 'Vettai' that had Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in the lead roles.

The Hindi remake of 'Vettai' which will also be produced by UTV Motion Pictures will have Shahid Kapoor and Ali Zafar reprising the roles made popular by Arya and Madhavan respectively.

It may be recalled that Lingusamy initially wanted Ileana opposite Arya for 'Vettai' but unfortunately things did not work out that he had to settle for Amala Paul.

There were reports earlier that Amala Paul may just get her Bollywood ticket this early in her career with the B-town remake of 'Vettai,' but if reports are to be believed, the director has requested Ileana to keep her dates free for the Hindi remake to have her romance Shahid in the role originally enacted by Amala Paul.

Lingusamy is ready to begin shooting for the film in May and the first schedule will he held in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Now all that remains is for the makers to finalize the rest of the cast too.

Sameera Reddy who is presently shuttling between North and South of India to meet her shooting schedules has a very tender side.

Yes, you read it right and its an unbelievable fact that Sameera has been running a charity trust for the elderly and the differently- abled for long now.

When Sameera is not busy with her shooting, she conducts dance shows in the North and donates the funds raised through these shows to the charity trust that she's running. They say ‘Charity begins at home’. The Vettai girl has expanded it so much that a large number of less fortunate people will benefit.

'Tezz' is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film directed by Priyadarshan.

Tezz features an ensemble cast that includes Mohanlal, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Kangna Ranaut, Sameera Reddy and Zayed Khan in main roles.

The stunts for the film has been choreographed by Gareth Milne, the stunt co-ordinator of 'Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer' and 'National Treasure: Book of Secrets' . Tezz was earlier titled 'Bullet Train'.

At the Vettai press meet, director Lingusamy said that he is satisfied with the way the film has shaped up and is waiting for the audiences’ reaction.

When asked Lingusamy, if he was planning to remake the film in Hindi, Lingusamy said that he intends to remake 'Vettai' with Salman Khan reprising Madhavan’s role and Ranbir Kapoor in Arya’s character.

Vettai has Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul and others in the star cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music for this film.

Director Lingusamy is looking to strike gold in Bollywood and he feels that Vettai would be his ticket.

The director is planning to remake Vettai in Hindi and talks are on with Salman Khan to essay the role played by Arya in Vettai.

If sources are to be believed this remake would mark the Bollywood debut of director Lingusamy and the pretty lady Amala Paul who may be considered for the lead role in the Hindi version as well. There would be an official confirmation on the cast once the stars for the roles played by Sameera Reddy and Madhavan are finalized.

Vettai starring Arya, Amala Paul, Madhavan and Sameera Reddy has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is slated for release this Pongal.

Amala Paul is extremely thrilled with the audio launch of two of her films happening in the same week.

While Vettai’s audio launch is to happen on December 16th, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal’s audio will be released on December 18th. The actress calls it as the icing on the cake as two important events are scheduled in the same week.

Amala Paul plays Atharva’s leading lady in Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal and in Vettai she shares the screen space with Arya, Madhavan and Sameera Reddy.

After a hectic schedule and a hit movie down south, Sameera Reddy is now excited about moving into her new house in the coming week.

Sam, who bought this property in February, was told her by her dad that she would have the house ready in three months. Well, not everything falls in place at the right time. But Sam considers it perfect timing for her as, "My den is probably the most beautiful place in the world right now. My sister and father have made the decor look just perfect.

My family and dear ones will be doing the house warming party with me along with the Lakshmi puja. I'm thrilled to move and the wait for me is finally over."

Let's hope that we soon get a glimpse of her new crib.

With Vettai’s release date set for December 23rd, the team is racing against time to finish off the shooting.

After the Diwali break, the unit assembled in Karaikudi to shoot the remaining portions before beginning the post-production work.

Lingusamy, the director of Vettai and the rest of the team members are currently stationed in Karaikudi, confirms the film's producer UTV Motion Pictures’ Dhananjayan.

Vettai is a multi-lingual film starring Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul and others. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for this film.

Riding high on the rave reviews she got for her performance in Prabhu Deva’s film Vedi, actor Sameera Reddy is now ready to shift her focus back to Bollywood and on her next big release, Priyadarshan’s Tezz.

“Ajay is coming from a super-hit film Singham and I think the producers know what they are doing. There is place for everybody, so it really doesn’t matter against whom you are pitted. Obviously you don’t want to go up against a big film, but I know that Tezz has its own appeal,” said Sameera.

Talking about all the action scenes she had to shoot Sameera exclaims, “It was really nerve-wracking. I had to learn how to ride a bike, river-rafting, it was physically challenging. But it all works out when your co-stars are fun to work with.”

Though the film is set to release alongside the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Agneepath in January, Sameera’s positive that her film will give Agneepath a run for its money.

Sameera has been doing a lot of films down South of late. “They are more loyal in South, unlike in Bollywood, where one day you are the best, but the next day everything changes. If you see the likes of Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan — whether their films work or don’t, nothing changes in terms of popularity and fan following. Furthermore they are extremely punctual, if they ask for 30 days of your time, they will finish the film exactly within that time period,” she explains. “Having said that I got my first break in Bollywood, so it will always remain close to my heart.”

Sameera Reddy is very excited with the response that she has been getting for Vedi.

The actress has been flooded with offers so much that she has decided to settle down in the South and focus on becoming the numero uno heroine here.

Sameera recently bought a piece of land in Mumbai's Juhu, home to some of the city's most elite denizens and is building a house there.

Now that her career is red hot, Sameera has decided to build a bungalow on Chennai's ECR road as well and is busy hunting up plots for sale.

The buzz is that Sameera might be Vijay's heroine in Gautam Menon's next Yohan Adhyayum Ondru.

Sameera is also set to be part of other plum projects in Tamil and it makes a lot of sense for her to stat close to where it is all happening for her.

Vedi, Prabhu Deva's film with Vishal and Sameera Reddy, has cleared the censors and received a U/A certificate.

The producers of the film are very pleased with this as they were expecting this to happen and now they're rest assured that the film will definitely reach the target audience.

Prabhu Deva and Vishal are working together for the first time and there is a lot of expectation from both of them.

Sameera Reddy is becoming very popular in the South and she is hoping that the film will send her stock soaring.

Vedi is expected to hit the screens on September 30th or October 6th.

Sun Pictures has bagged the rights of the Vishal starrer Vedi. The film is directed by Prabhu Deva and stars Vishal and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles.

This film is slated to be released on September 29th and with Sun Pictures procuring the rights to distribute, the promotions are expected to reach a feverish pitch.

Vedi’s music had hit the stands recently and Vijay Anthony’s music has received a good response.

The movie, produced by Vishal’s home production GK Films, is a remake of the Telugu hit Souryam.

If you are one of those wondering if Sameera fears to do intimate scenes with her co-stars, you are wrong! It is reported that some of the cast and crew members of Prabhu Deva's upcoming flick 'Vedi' got a chance to witness Sameera kissing Vishal nearly 30 times, of course for the scenes in the film!

Sources close to the 'Vedi' team reveal that there is a cozy scene featuring the lead stars in a bathroom when Sameera is supposed to deliver a funny dialogue and then peck Vishal on his cheek. But since our actress forgot to get the dialogue right many times, director Prabhu Deva had to re-take the scene again and again and again.

After some takes when Sameera finally got to deliver the dialogue right, the lady messed up with her kiss and the team had to repeat the whole thing again...

And Prabhu Deva who is noted for some cozy scenes in all of his films loves to shoot his scenes from various angles which again required the lead stars to go in for re-takes. Well if you are wondering how many times Vishal had to go for re-takes while kissing Sameera, well sources reveal it was just a handful of times.

Vishal and Sameera Reddy starrer Vedi directed by PrabhuDeva is a remake of Telugu movie Souryam. The original that had Gopichand paired with Anushka is the story of its hero looking to reunite with his sibling while the baddies seek revenge.

Sameera Reddy plays a fun-loving college girl who is trying her hand at comedy for the first time. Music director Devi Sri Prasad will be seen in a special appearance in one of the songs that is expected to add flavor to the movie. Vedi team is currently in Ladakh to shoot two song sequences in a never-seen-before location.

The first look of 'Vedi' that released a while ago with Vishal clad in a red shirt and a hot pair of shades, is from the song 'Mumbai Ponnu...' The visuals of this song tuned in by Vijay Antony does promise a lot from this item number which is why we'll have to wait to welcome the hottie Sophie Chowdry to Kollywood.

According to sources, director Prabhu Deva is taking special care to make the songs appear different on screen and the latest buzz is that the producers are now trying to release the film by September end unlike earlier reports that had it scheduled to grace theatres for Diwali.

Nayanthara, who recently converted to Hinduism and who is expected to marry actor-filmmaker Prabhu Deva shortly, is in Mumbai currently to spend time with her beau.

The dusky, long-haired actress, dressed nattily in a pair of black jeggings and a white summer blouse, who was in Kochi with her parents for the last week, boarded a flight to Mumbai a couple of days ago to spend time with Prabhu Devaa who is directing Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in Rowdy Rathore. Speculation is rife that the couple will marry either in Mumbai or some place other than Chennai because they wish to keep their wedding a low-profile one. Sources insinuate that the two celebrities are actually here in Mumbai to finalize their wedding arrangements.

However, Nayan is reticent to discuss Prabhu with the media or anyone for that matter.

"I don't speak to the media for obvious reasons," says the attractive ex-No 1 of Tamil cinema, who was spotted managing her own luggage at the Mumbai airport.

"In fact, I prefer to keep a low profile and don't interact much with anyone except the people I am working with,'' she says. Well, well when you have a lot of awkward questions to answer then we guess keeping mum is the best thing.

Sameera Reddy has made an impact in Tamil cinema but so far she has been unfortunate in finding the perfect onscreen match.

In her debut film, Vaaranam Aayiram, Divya Spandana gets Suriya. In Asal, she was part of a two heroine project with Bhavana, so she had limited screen time with Ajith. Then in Nadunissi Naigal, her boyfriend gets killed by a psychopath who is obsessed with her.

Sameera up next has Vettai with Arya and Maddy next, but that is also a two heroine project where she shares screen space with Amala Paul.

But finally, it seems her luck has changed and she will be seen opposite Vishal in Vedi which is her first solo heroine project. Besides, everybody is saying that they make a great couple as they are both tall and have dusky good looks.

Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul play sisters in Vettai, says report from Kollywood. Interestingly, it is Sameera playing the eldest sister of the two.

The two heroes in this flick are Madhavan and Arya. While Arya plays the youngest and Madhavan is the one elder to him.

According to grapevine, Vettai is a family saga with loads of sentiments, action, romance and emotions.

Lingusamy is directing this flick, which is produced by his home production Tirupati Brothers. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music and Nirav Shah has handled the camera for Vettai.
