There is a buzz in the industry that the story of K.V Anand's upcoming Suriya starrer 'Maattrraan' has been revealed online including the twists and turns in the film.

If sources are to believed, this unfortunate event might incur huge losses to AGS Entertainments, the makers and distributors of the film.

It is often witnessed that videos, songs and working stills are been unveiled in social networking and microblogging websites by a few unauthorized members who somehow get their hands on it. This consequence finally ends as the producers loss and now the Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal starrer 'Maattrraan' is also facing the same problem.

It can be recalled that K.V Anand's previous film 'KO' also was a victim of such lawless activity, but the film emerged as a box-office hit despite of all odds.

Is this another form of a publicity stunt, we wish we could tell.

Hansika has a lot of reasons to be happy as her superhit Tamil movie, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, saw a Telugu dubbed release by the name OKOK and her upcoming release with Arya, Settai, had its teaser launch along with Mugamoodi.

The response to both OKOK and the teaser of Settai has pleased the pretty actor and she has thanked her fans for accepting her films.

Hansika is currently busy with Denikaina Ready in Telugu, Settai, Vaalu, Vettai Mannan and Singam 2 in Tamil.

Vaalu, her film with STR, will also be having a single track launch soon.

Good times for Hansika.

As reported earlier Kamal Haasan’s magnum opus Vishwaroopam will hit the screens in October.

Now we hear that the film will release on October 12th, K,V Anand’s Suriya starrer 'Maatrraan' is also expected to hit the screens on the very same day.

Kamal Haasan plays a Kathak exponent and a secret agent in Vishwaroopam. Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah play the female leads and Rahul Bose, Jaideep Ahlawat, Samrat Chakrabarti, Nassar and many others play character roles.

A major portion of the film was shot in Chennai and New York and the post production is being carried out in Los Angeles.

Kajal Aggarwal is currently among the foremost heroines in Tamil with two of the most happening projects in her kitty.

The gorgeous looking actor has A.R Murgadoss' Thuppakki and K.V Anand's Maatraan releasing this year opposite Vijay and Suriya respectively.

The song sequences for both Maatraan and Thuppakki have been planned to be canned in the pristine locales of Europe next week and the actor is expecting to juggle between her respective co-stars to shoot for a romantic dance duet for each of their  films.

Coincidentally, Harris Jayaraj is the composer for both the films that are highly expected to release this year.

The shoot for Thuppakki, starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal is on full swing.

A.R Murugadoss is using everything that is only the best in the industry, starting from the lead actors to the technicians.

The latest news is that the ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan, who recently joined the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers, is not using the usual 35 MM camera to shoot the film.

It has been recently evealed that he is exploiting the latest ARRI digital technology that was introduced later last year.

Even the Hollywood technicians, who are usually the first to introduce latest techs in the industry, have just started using this technology.

The makers have assured that the picture quality in this film will be something nobody has experienced yet. The film is expected to hit the screens during the last quarter of the year.

K.V Anand's Suriya starrer 'Maatraan' is closing completion but for a song.

While the shoot for the film is yet to be wrapped, sources confirmed that the director's penchant for hunting new locations is the reason behind the song still being pending.

K.V Anand, a filmmaker in perfection best known for his work in 'Ayan (2009)' and 'Ko (2011)' is still on the lookout for unseen locales to shoot the one remaining song with Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal.

Meanwhile, Eros International bought the distribution rights of the film for an astronomical 43 crores even before the final product is complete. With this 'Maatraan' becomes one of the year's most expensive movies to be released.

Harris Jayaraj who is composing music for the film, recently revealed that the songs of 'Maatraan' were composed in 6 different countries.

The action thriller is expected to release for the Independence Day weekend in August.

Endrendrum Punnagai, an upcoming romantic comedy film is directed Mueenuddin Ahmed of Vaamanan fame. It is the director's second venture after his directorial debut and is collaborating with Jiiva, Trisha and Harris Jayaraj for the first time.

The film that brings Jiiva and Trisha together for the first time will also feature Santhanam, Nassar and Lisa Hayon in pivotal roles.

While Actor Jiiva is shuttling between the sets of Mugamoodi and Neethane En Ponvansantham, Trisha is home with a bout of flu. The actors are expected to complete their respective schedules soon to join the crew of 'Endrendrum Punnagai' that is expected to go on floor from June.

K.V Anand's Maatraan starring Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal has reached its last leg of shooting.

The director of the film has been shooting for the film in the exotic locations of Russia, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Albania. The director and his crew are now in Jodhpur for the last schedule.

In his social networking page, K.V Anand blogged, “Shooting the last phase of Maatraan in Jodhpur with 500 junior artist & Suriya. It's very hot here (around 41 degrees).”

Maatraan, that is being produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram also stars Vivek, Isha Sharvani and Sachin Khedekar in supporting roles. With cinematographer Sounder Rajan handling the camera and Anthony, editing the shots,  the film would have music composed by Harris Jayaraj.

Selvaraghavan is proceeding full steam ahead with his Arya and Anushka film, Irandam Ulagam.

For the first time ever, the ace director is teaming up with Harris Jeyaraj and insiders have opined that it is the pairing of the decade. Great things are expected from this duo and they are keen to deliver.

Recently, a track was recorded sung by Karthik and with lyrics by Vairamuthu. Selva is in love with this song and said that the music director, singer, and lyricist have outdone themselves.

In Selva's words, "Recorded a fabulous song with Harris sung by Karthick. Superb composition and wonderful singing! Bloody romantic! And with kaviperarasu Vairamuthu's lyrics! Feeling enthralled listening to those beautiful words!"

Actor Vijay has crooned a number composed by Harris Jayaraj for the A.R Murgadoss directed Thuppaki.

The entire cast and crew are in love with the peppy number rendered by Vijay and has flown to Bangkok to shoot the song in some stunning locales, to make sure they do justice to the song.

Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal are dancing up a storm under the tutelage of Bollywood choreographers and Vijay already famed for his dancing skills has reportedly done an outstanding job.

Insiders swear that the song is going to generate a huge craze across the country!

Shooting for Selvaraghavan's film, Irandam Ulagam with Arya and Anushka in the lead, resumed yesterday after a gap of three months and the director couldn't help but blame the strike for the delay.

"Arya and Anushka share a good chemistry together as they enact two well-etched characters that I can't wait to see on the big screen," said Selvaraghavan updating the progress of his upcoming film 'Irandam Ulagam' collaborating with Harris Jeyaraj for the music of the film.

Produced by PVP cinemas, Irandam Ulagam will have Arya and Anushka paired together for the first time. This would be the first that director Selvaraghavan be associated with Harris Jeyaraj after having worked great tunes with Yuvan Shankar Raja and GV Prakash.

Maatraan’s release date has been put off to June.

K.V Anand's 'Maatraan' starring Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal is a highly expected octane thriller that was touted to be a Tamil New Year’s release but the release date is now reported to have been pushed to June with the delay in the commencement of the film's post-production work.

The film woluld have Suriya portraying five different roles with Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead and Sachin Khedekar as the villain. Maatraan featuring music scored by Harris Jayaraj is announced to be Suriya's biggest release till date.

Nanban is all set to be released on January 12th, and there has been a sudden outbreak of news alleging that Sun Pictures have snatched up the rights to Nanban. However, there has been debate about whether Sun Pictures has bagged the distribution and theatrical rights or merely the satellite rights if any.

What makes it interesting is that prior tussles have been reported between Vijay and the family that controls Sun Pictures owing to different political allegiances and other issues. Insiders are waiting for official confirmation.

Nanban, an upcoming Tamil comedy drama film directed by S. Shankar features an ensemble cast that includes Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana D'Cruz, Sathyan and Sathyaraj with music scored by Harris Jeyaraj.

Maatraan, Suriya's next after the success of 7am Arivu has Kajal Aggarwal playing the lead opposite him with K.V Anand directing the actor for the 2nd time after their earlier blockbuster 'Ayan' in 2010.

K.V Anand, the director who has been tasting success since Ayan is now a household director creating rave expectation after his Jiiva starrer 'Ko' became one of the biggest hits in 2011.

The director is very cautious about his second venture with Suriya and is leaving no stones unturned to ensure that Maatraan does not skip its release schedule aiming an early 2012 release, in the month of April to be precise.

Shooting of this action thriller is currently being held in Chennai, after a brief schedule in Moscow, Russia making 'Maatraan' one of the very few Indian movies to be shot there. Made at a whopping budget by AGS Entertainment, Maatraan will have music composed by Harris Jayaraj with expectations soaring skyhigh for the release of the music album.

It can’t get any bigger than this for the Punjabi lass!

Yes, we’re talking about Kajal Aggarwal, who’s got a prize catch —- Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay's next film directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

Though several names including Priyanka Chopra and Priya Anand were tossed around, the opportunity to romance Vijay on-screen has fallen into Kajal’s lap.

Sources say that the leggy lass, who’s on a high after her Bollywood debut hit Singham with Ajay Devgan, was on cloud nine after signing the film on Tuesday with mass hero Vijay.

Kajal Aggarwal is the only lucky girl to sizzle with two K’town biggies simultaneously — Suriya in Maatran and Vijay in this untitled flick. Her Tollywood career is also looking up with two films — one with Mahesh Babu and another with her Magadheera costar Ram Charan Teja.

A source reveals that the movie produced by Vijay’s dad S.A. Chandrashekar, is set in Mumbai and will be shot extensively in the business capital.

Reportedly, the crew will start rolling from December 1 with ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan handling the camera and Harris Jayaraj composing music for the film.

The followers of Buddhism have raised objections towards 7am Arivu over the facts provided about the monk 'Bodhi Dharma' in the movie.

Despite being a well-made science fiction film in the Tamil film industry, Surya's 7am Arivu has sparked a controversy regarding the portrayal of Bodhi Dharma, a Pallava prince who migrated to China and became the Shaolin master.

Buddhist Teacher Babu T Raghu has said that the depiction of Bodhi Dharma in 7am Arivu is inaccurate. For an instance, the monk travelled to China, when he was 150 yearsold but in the recently released film, it has been portrayed, as if he left Kanchipuram at his young age with six-pack abs. He further claims that it is an insult to their community and has objected those scenes.

The Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary professor Bikku Bodhi Bala says that it is believed that Bodhi Dharma was one of the seven monks, who left to China from Tamil Nadu between the 2nd and 13th century. He, however refuses A.R Murgadoss' portrayal of the Bodhi Dharma's death in 7am Arivu as the monk breathed his last in Tamil Nadu after being resurrected from death in China.

Meanwhile, historians claim that Bodhi Dharma left Kanchipuram to propagate Buddhism and that he was known only for his expertise in martial arts and not for any skills on medical science scrutinizing 7am Arivu that glorifies the monk as a Tamilian without researching his contribution to the community.

All in all, irrespective of whether Bodhi Dharma's depiction is accurate or false, the audience have loved Suriya's performance as the monk in the first twenty minutes of 7am Arivu.

Among all the accolades and appreciations that actor Suriya had received for 7am Arivu, he cherishes the admiration of his father and veteran actor Sivakumar the most.

"My dad watches all my films and reviews my performance with me. However after watching 7am Arivu, he drove all the way and hugged me, looked at my eyes and said that I made him proud" revealed the actor.

Suriya, who is thrilled with the phenomenal response for 7am Arivu said, "7am Arivu is the biggest hit of my career," adding that "K V Anand’s Maatran is a commercial entertrainer and his next with Hari (supposedly a sequel to Singham) will be announced in a couple of weeks."

There was a call to ban 7am Arivu in Sri Lanka because the film had some dialogues on the lack of Tamil liberation movement that created uproar in Sri Lanka.

Following this opposition, the producer of 7am Arivu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, decided to delete the offending scenes so that it would not hurt the film’s success in that country.

The protestors are now contended that the dialogues have been removed and have allowed the film to be screened.

7am Arivu directed by A.R. Murugadoss has Suriya and Shruti Haasan starring as the leads with music composed by Harris Jayaraj.

Noted director Thangar Bachan has lauded 7am Arivu so much that he has penned an open letter to Red Giant Movies Udhayanidhi Stalin for producing the film.

Thangar Bachan in his letter had said that only few films bring honor to Tamilians and 7am Arivu is one among them.

According to the director, the film has made every Tamilian sit up and take notice of their glorious past.

Thangar Bachan, on the discussion about the film’s success, said that the collections at the box office, are largely the concern of the people who are going to benefit from the profits that is the producers and distributors and it is not for the movie buffs who only need to enjoy the film.
