Actor Iniya born as Shruthi Sawant
in Trivandrum, Kerala is best known for her offbeat roles in films like
Vaagai Sooda Va and Mounaguru that made an impact with the Tamil
audience.
The model turned actor made her cinematic debut
with Malayalam film 'Saira (2005)' and has appeared in various
television commercials before making her big screen debut. She was
noticed playing a supporting role as the sister to Cheran's character in
Mysskin's mystery thriller 'Yuddham Sei.(2011).'
The
sexy lass who adopted her screen name 'Iniya' for A. Sarkunam's period
piece Vaagai Sooda Vaa (2011), was much applauded by the critics for the
portrayal of a tea stall owner in the film.
Iniya says she is confident that her performance in Thangar Bachchan's film will be much appreciated by the audience.
