Aadhi, who delivered some great performances in films like Mirugam, Eeram and Aravaan is currently shooting at Chinchinada village, along the banks of the river Godaveri for Maranthen Mannithen, an upcoming bilingual film produced by Lakshmi Manchu.

The Telugu version of bilingual directed by Kumar Nagendra is titled 'Gundello Godari' and films cast features its producer Lakshmi Manchu as the lead protagonist for the first time with Taapsee Pannu, Sundeep Kishan, Suja Varunee and Mumaith Khan forming the rest of the cast.

While the shooting for the film was progressing with 250 technicians at hand and around 20 cameras been set up at a fishing village set erected across 21 acres of land, Aadhi and Lakshmi, the leading actors of the film met with a life threatening accident getting swept away by the force of the water for nearly 400 feet before the local fishermen could rescue them..

It was reported that the accident occured Some time after midnight when the crew was prepared to release water from the reservoir for a flood scene that was crucial to the movie.

The actors soon recovered from the accident once they were given medical attention.

There have been rumors of a big Aravind Swamy comeback for months now as it was originally reported that he will be playing the villain in Vishal's Samaran.

The actor/entrepreneur denied these rumors and said that he was done with films. But it seems that films are not done with him.

Mani Rathnam who introduced Aravind Swamy with Thalapathy and then worked with him on memorable films like Roja and Bombay has asked him to do a role in his next film featuring Karthik's son Gautham and Samantha.

The actor and muse in Arvind Swamy could not refuse his mentor and has agreed to wear the grease paint again for Maniratnam's tentatively titled film Pookadai.

Pookadai, that is to launch Actor Karthik's son Gautam in the lead opposite Samantha would also have Arjun and Lakshmi Manchu in pivot roles with Arvind Swamy joining the cast to play the female leads father.

It is certainly going to be a treat to see Arvind Swamy on the big screen again.

Sources in the Tinsel Town say that Veteran Director Mani Ratnam had signed up Lakshmi Manchu, daughter of Tollywood star Mohan Babu for his upcoming film.

Lakshmi Manchu has acted in several Telugu films and is has also produced many Telugu films. She is now reportedly been signed for a prominent role in the film that Mani Ratnam is to direct, reports sources.

Further, there are rumors that Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor may play the female lead in the film. However, there is no official confirmation on this yet, either from the director or from the actress.






Actress Deeksha Seth, Vikram's heroine in his upcoming action entertainer Rajapattai will be next opposite Manchu Manoj Kumar in a bilingual that is to be produced by his sister Lakshmi Manchu under the banner, Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Manchu Entertainment.

The film that has been titled Thalaivan Varuvan for the Tamil version is titled 'Oo Kodathara Ulikki Padathara' in Telegu.

The film is said to have a story that spans four generations and a palatial palace set has been erected in Hyderabad for the shooting of this film.

Directed by Sekhar Raja, the film has music by Bobo Shashi.
