While Ram Gopal Varma and Sanjay Dutt fight it out in public, Kangna Ranaut who finds herself caught in the middle is maintaining total silence about the entire episode.

Sources close to the actor state that Kangna does not even want to take a ‘no comment’ stance.

In fact, The actor refuses to utter even a single word about it.

After the debacle of his recent release, RGV had stated on his micro-blogging site that Dutt had forced him to drop Kangna Ranaut from his film.

“Kangna wants to steer clear from any controversy and instead focus on her work,” says a source.

At one time Kangana was extremely friendly with both Sanjay and his wife Maanayata. Kangna’s personal rapport with the star had even helped her professionally as she found herself in several films Dutt was part of.

But after a fall out over a year ago, the actor found herself at the receiving end from Dutt and his pals.

The schism in the friendship was evident when she was sidelined during the promotions of Rascals. Kangna then acted difficult during the dubbing of the film. Apparently differences between the couple and her arose after she began talking about her proximity to them.

Madhu Shalini, the sultry looking actor who played a sweet and homely girl in Bala's Avan Ivan is playing a gangster in Ram Gopal Verma's Department with Amitabh Bachchan and Rana Daggubati.

The actor has stunned her fans across the world departing from the norm as she is seen smoking and wielding a pistol in the promos. She said that she is thrilled with the impact that she is making as her decision to experiment seems to have paid off.

RGV was so impressed with Madhu's work that he has offered her a role in a horror film that he is making.

The actor is kicked about working again with RGV and is looking forward to work with Manisha Koirala, who also has a pivotal role in the film.

Ace director, Ram Gopal Varma has gone on record to say that an item song in his film Department, is inspired from Rajinikanth's Aasai Nooruvagai number from the film Adutha Varisu.

The Hindi song Dan Dan Cheeni features Rana Dagubatti and Sanjay Dutt dancing with item girl, Nathalia Kaur - an Indo - Brazilian beauty is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.

At RGV's insistence, composers Dharam - Sandeep added a 30 second line from the original to their own composition,

RGV said that the Aasai Nooruvagai song is one of his favorites and Dan Dan Cheeni is his way of paying tribute to it.

Check out the sexy new item girl Nathalia Kaur heating up RGV's cop thriller 'Department' with her first item song, ‘Dan Dan Cheeni’.

Granted Nathalia Kaur boasts a pair of sexy legs to put a lot of self anointed sex bombs to shame, but that is pretty much the only good thing about the raunchy number ‘Dan Dan Cheeni’. For an item song is not just about looking sexy. More than that it’s about grooving to the beat with a no-moves-barred spirit that doesn’t come through in Nathalia’s jig.

The girl’s body, however sexy, is stiff, and her gyration stilted. She seems like someone too suave for a full-on desi item song. Add to that a pretty ordinary composition she’s made to dance to. There’s a touch of ‘Chikni Chameli’ in the number, with all those catcalls and wolf-whistles going on in the background.

Ram Gopal Varma, the film’s director, has been lavishing praise upon praise on Nathalia Kaur as the new “ITEM BOMB” of Bollywood.

Watch the item song and tell us if she’s as groovy as touted to be.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and actor Abhishek Bachchan, who worked together in Naach, Sarkar and Sarkar Raj, will join hands again for the remake of the Telugu film Businessman.

Jagannath has also written and directed the original movie, which starred Mahesh Babu and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles.

Varma is currently working on Department where southern star Rana Daggubati will be seen as a grungy policeman - a role that was earlier reserved for Abhishek Bachchan.

"Finally it's confirmed...me and Puri Jagannath together are making the remake of the blockbuster Telugu hit Businessman with Abhishek Bachchan," Varma tweeted.

Sunny Leone, the famous Indo - Canadian pornstar, whose claim to fame in India was Big Boss 5, is now very much a part of our Bollywood fraternity.

Mahesh Bhatt, known for his keen eye for fresh faces, noticed Sunny on the show, and now the sensuous actor will be making her Bollywood debut with Mahesh Bhatt's JISM 2.

Sunny Leone has also found a fan in ace director Ram Gopal Varma, who wants to cast her in his movie as well. Expressing this desire to her so called 'guardian' Mahesh Bhatt, RGV was requested to go ahead, but on two conditions; that his movie be released only after JISM 2, and to give an equally sensuous role to Sunny in his movie.

It is found out that RGV has not taken Bhatt's demands kindly, and is extremely annoyed with the Bhatt camp. He is now completely rubbishing news of approaching Mahesh Bhatt, to cast the sensuous soon to be Bollywood actress!

Looks like Mahesh is definitely looking after Sunny Leone's best interests. After all, she is his discovery!

Amala Paul of Mynaa and Deiva Thirumagal fame is making her debut in Tollywood opposite Naga Chaitanya with RGV's Bezawada. Unlike her conservative roles in Tamil films, Bezawada is reported to mark her debut in Tollywood with a glamorous role that would retain her career in Tollywood.

Bezawada features a spicy romantic song that has Amala Paul sizzling like never before, that she is expected to go places with that oomph to create a mark in Telugu cinema.

"When you know your boyfriend is a rowdy you go back in love, but Geetanjali in Bezawada is bold and stands by him. I play Geetanjali and I guess there can be none better than Naga Chaitanya as my hero for a debut in Telugu," revealed the actress.

When Celebs Factory queried Amala Paul on what she had to say about being paired opposite Suriya for Singam II, she confirmed "I'm busy shooting for Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal opposite Atharva," remaining tight-lipped about the sequel until its official.

Bezawada directed by Vivek Krishna and produced by Ram Gopal Varma is slated for release on November 25.

Celebs Factory wishes Amala Paul the very best in progressing a parallel carrer in Tollywood.

After Urmila Matondkar, Nisha Kothari, Antara Mali and Jiah Khan, the filmmaker showers his affections on Madhu Shalini.

Ram Gopal Varma who has always managed to stay in the news, be it for his films or the women in his life, has found yet another reason to hit the headlines. The filmmaker, after Urmila Matondkar, Antara Mali, Nisha Kothari and Jiah Khan, seems to have found his latest muse in the form of actress Madhu Shalini, who will be launched in his next film Department.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Ram Gopal Varma was introduced to Madhu Shalini by his old friend Puri Jagannath, during the shoot of Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap. At the time, Ramu was busy with his film Not A Love Story.

He was also busy locking his next venture Department then. Ramu immediately signed her on for the film he is co-producing with Sanjay Dutt. Ramu and Madhu have come closer since then."

"Madhu is now Ramu's latest muse. He is leaving no stone unturned to present the actress in the best possible way in Department. In fact, Ramu will be shooting a big budget song titled 'Thodi Si' with her in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios soon.

He will apparently be spending Rs 1 crore on that single song. It's surprising since RGV had earlier made his film Not A Love Story in a budget of Rs 80 lakh."

However, when contacted, Ramu laughed off the news and said, "She is just playing a role in Department along with two others and we are not even good friends. You can ask her that." Interestingly, despite him not being friends with Madhu, the filmmaker follows her on a popular networking site.

Who is Madhu Shalini? Madhu Shalini is an actress from the Telugu film industry. She has worked in a couple of Tamil films as well. After her debut film Andarivaadu, which did not do too well at the box office, she found success with her second venture Na Pranam Kaante Ekkavu. She has worked in around a dozen films down south. Department will be her Bollywood debut vehicle.

After Milan Luthria, who roped in Akshay Kumar for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, now we hear that Ram Gopal Varma is planning to make a sequel to Bhoot titled Bhhoooo with Sanjay Dutt.

A source revealed, "When Ramuji narrated the idea to Sanju, he was blown away. He immediately evinced his interest in playing a pivotal part in the movie."

Apparently, Dutt and Ramu have been bonding quite a bit on the sets of their forthcoming film Department.

Probed further about Sanjay's part in the horror flick, our source explained, "There's this character in the movie on whom the needle of suspicion falls. And the way Ramuji is conceptualising it, this character surfaces at every twist in the tale. He's almost like the main character in the movie because without him the story could neither begin nor end."

Interestingly, the actor is so fascinated by the director's concept for Bhhoooo that he has even offered to produce it for the filmmaker.

"This is not the first time Sanjay has expressed an interest to produce Ramuji's movie. He offered to back Department also, but then RGV struck a good deal with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures," the source said.

On his part, RGV reverted by text message saying, "We're doing another film and I'm producing along. But it's not a sequel to Bhoot."

When pursued for more information, the filmmaker conceded that he'd be in a better position to talk once the details are finalised.

Mahie Gill is no longer the girl next door. She has moved further away from being that by choosing bold roles in a few films. Be it the role she played in 'Not a Love Story' or the one in 'Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster' - Mahie is now one of the sex symbols of Bollywood tagged 'BOLD' and more and more glamorous roles are just going her way.

Mahie however attributes her success to the directors who make her feel comfortable in filming bold scenes aesthetically.

"I am okay and I'd be happy with any tag as long as people make comment only after watching the movie," said Mahie Gill. Even before 'Not a Love Story' was released, everybody talked about the kissing sequence with her co-star Deepak Dobriyal. However, after watching the film, nobody was bothered about the kissing scene as the content was so strong. So, she doesn’t mind the 'bold actress tag', she says.

Incidentally, she along with other cast of ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster’ was in the Capital to promote their film. You may be aware that the film is based in a small town in the Northern India and stars Jimmy Shergill and Randeep Hooda besides Mahie Gill. ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster is a story packed with intrigue, betrayal and ambition between a beautiful Begum, her Nawab husband and an ambitious young boy! Jimmy Shergill essays the role of a Nawab who lives in an ancestral royal house trying to maintain the status. To cope up with his lifestyle and political ambition, he even takes up contract killing assignments.

Jimmy on an interview said, ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’ is a modern day interpretation of Guru Dutt’s classic film ‘Saheb Bibi Aur Ghulam’. Randeep Hooda plays the gangster who falls in love with Nawab’s wife. The Unique Selling Point of the film is the entertainment package. Significantly, the film sees Mahie Gill in another bold portrayal in the movie.

Earlier, Mahie played a bold role in Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Not a Love Story’ by essaying the real life character of actress Maria Susairaj, who was recently sentenced by a court to three years imprisonment in connection with the murder of TV producer Neeraj Grover. Her role in ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’ is of a complicated woman. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, best known for his film ‘Haasil’, ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’ is set to release on Sep 30, 2011.

Mahie Gill is on cloud nine and why not? Her recent RGV's release 'Not A Love Story'has unexpectedly become a hit.

Ask her about his feeling and she says, "The amount of calls and appreciation I got for 'Not A Love Story'was just shocking for me. People really complimented and even the film fraternity did so. Thus it feels quite nice and I am excited." The film was shot in just twenty days.

Ask Mahie if such 'short-term' films don't help actors to do justice to their role and she replies, "Even I was wondering that whether I would be able to give out the proper expressions or not. But after watching the film and getting good reviews, I felt it worked out in our favour. Moreover, since I hail from theater background, it hardly matters for me now whether a film is shot in twenty days or hours. The experience was interesting and fun-filled for me."

And what about the so-called scary building in which the film was shot? "Well, shooting in the same building where the real incident had taken place on which the film was based, was really scary and creepy. Woh building dekhke mujhe ghabarahat hoti thiand weird things used to come into my mind."

Amala Paul's debut film in Telugu, a Ram Gopal Varma production titled Bezawada with Naga Chaitanya opposite her is being filmed at a brisk pace.

Shooting of Bezawada took place at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad sometime ago and now the team would be flying to Switzerland to shoot the song sequences.

Amala Paul is enthused about this project and is keeping her fingers crossed as Bezawada has the potential to make her career in AP.

The film is being directed by Vivek Krishna and will deal with the subject of rowdyism in the Vijayawada region. Prabhu will also be seen in this movie in a cricial role.

Ram Gopal Varma seems to have reinvented himself as a filmmaker in every aspect.

Apart from shooting Not A Love Story, inspired by the Neeraj Grover murder case, on a digital camera to cut down costs, the director has filmed the mall scenes with a high-end mobile phone.

A source associated with the film tells us they couldn't smuggle small digital cameras inside a Malad supermarket to shoot the scenes of Mahie Gill buying polythene bags and a big kitchen knife.

"The camera had to be deposited before entering the premises.

So Zaryan Patel, the cameraman, suggested shooting with an iPhone4," reveals our source, adding that only two people went in to shoot the scene.

He adds, "Obviously, Ramuji couldn't go anywhere near the place as he'd be recognised. So, armed with the phone, the cameraman shot Mahie's scenes inside HyperCity. And in 15 minutes, they were out."

Later, when the filmmaker saw the footage, he was impressed.

"Ramuji felt that the footage looked like it had been shot on CCTV cameras, so he decided to treat the scenes accordingly in the movie," explains our source, further informing that the footage from the high-end mobile phone was edited to make the 10-second scene in the movie.

Confirming the same Mahie said, "The whole film is shot in guerrilla style. However, for this particular scene, we were a bit scared of getting caught. Thankfully, it went smoothly and the result is looking, good too."

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who had earlier refused to show his film Not A Love Story to Maria Susairaj, says he is now keen to screen it for the controversial Kannada actress.

"I refused 2 show Not a love story to Maria because she was threatening legal action but now it has been kept aside so I want to voluntarily show her the film. I am really keen to show Maria Susairaj the film on the basis of, like I always maintained that it has been inspired from her story (sic)," Varma posted on Twitter.

Maria, who was sentenced to three years in jail by a Mumbai court for destroying evidence in the May 2008 killing of television executive Neeraj Grover, was released from jail last month. Her co-accused and fiance, ex-naval officer Emile Jerome Mathew was sentenced to 10 years' jail term.

RGV's Not A Love Story, releasing on Friday, is inspired by the incident and both Maria Susairaj and Emile sent legal notices questioning the content of the film, which features Deepak Dobriyal and Mahie Gill.

"I wud like to see Maria's reaction on the film on account of hw close her emotional state wud hav been to that of mahee gill's character," said Varma, known for his choice of controversial themes for his films.

Producer Shareef Zuberi filed a suit in a City Civil Court seeking a direction to restrain film maker Ram Gopal Varma from releasing his forthcoming flick Not A Love Story, said to be based on the murder of TV executive Neeraj Grover, stating that the film was a copy of his under-production film based on similar plot.

Zuberi claimed he was making a film titled Love Affair and had registered the script with the Film Writers Association.

He alleged that Varma had copied the story idea and was making a similar film on Neeraj Grover's murder with the title "Not A Love Story".

Zuberi claimed that his film was 70 per cent complete and would be ready for release in the next 45 days. The producer said he had already spent Rs 70 lakhs on the venture and was shocked to see in newspapers that Varma was releasing a film based on the same subject.

Varma, whose film Not a love story is slated for release on August 19, said he had not heard of producer Zuberi and dismissed allegations that he had copied the story idea.

Zuberi urged the court to restrain Varma from releasing the movie until he compensates him for the losses suffered by him or in the alternative he prayed that Varma be asked to release the film only after Zuberi's film Love Affair was exhibited in theaters.

Zuberi's lawyer Sushan Kunjuraman said the petition would be heard today.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma courted controversy when he expressed his desire to cast Maria Susairaj in his film and the director clarifies his point saying that he won't hesitate just because of what happened to the actress and that he finds trial by people outside the judiciary juvenile.

"If I've a role for her I won't hesitate just because of what happened to her. Am I being insensitive to Neeraj Grover's family? I understand how hurt they must be. But in a civilized society you can't become the law and the judiciary and decide the quantum of punishment. I find this trial by people outside the judiciary very juvenile," said Varma.

Kannada actress Mariah Monica Susairaj, who was sentenced to three years in jail by a Mumbai court for destroying evidence in the May 2008 killing of television executive Neeraj Grover, was released from jail last month after being acquitted.

Her co-accused and fiance, ex-naval officer Emile Jerome Mathew was sentenced to 10 years jail term after the court found him 'guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder'.

Varma's forthcoming film Not A Love Story is inspired by the incident and both Maria Susairaj and Emile have sent a legal notices questioning the content of the film.

Varma said: "My lawyers are replying to both of them in an appropriate manner. That is all I can say right now."

Excerpts from the interview:

Q: Both Maria Susairaj and Emile Jerome have sent you legal notices questioning the content of your film Not A Love Story?

A: My film is inspired from a true story. They've been misinformed that it's based on their lives. My lawyers are replying to both of them in an appropriate manner. That is all I can say right now.

Q: Not A Love Story has kissing scenes. This is a first for Ram Gopal Varma?

A: Maybe I've just grown up. Jokes apart, the intensity of the emotions between the couple is very high in Not A Love Story. There are three long kissing scenes between Deepak Dobriyal and Mahie Gill. I've to confess, I've never had couples kissing in my films before.

Q: Are you serious about signing the real Susairaj?

A: See, the reason why I wanted to do film inspired by the Susairaj incident is because we heard suddenly in 2008 of a man and woman killing and cutting up a man's body into pieces. It was too horrific. When you think of it, you wonder what could've prompted this behaviour. I wanted to capture the psychology behind the crime. That's why I made Not A love Story.

When I researched for the film, I discovered so many things that never came out in the media. Maria Sausairaj had no criminal record of psychopathic or criminal behaviour. What we read about the case was so superficial.

Q: So what are you suggesting we should be sympathetic towards her?

A: After three years the judge says she's only guilty of destroying evidence. Why did she destroy the evidence? Was it fear or guilt? Without knowing the motive behind her killing everyone suddenly pounced on her pronouncing her a killer. It's bizarre. How does anyone know she's a killer? If the judiciary says she is not, she is not.

Q: So are you signing her?

A: If I've a role for her I won't hesitate just because of what happened to her. Am I being insensitive to Neeraj Grover's family? I understand how hurt they must be. But in a civilized society you can't become the law and the judiciary and decide the quantum of punishment. I find this trial by people outside the judiciary very juvenile.

Q: The baggage of her supposedly savage deed doesn't bother you?

A: But we don't know what happened in that apartment! Is she a psychopath or a serial killer? Emotional outbursts branding her a criminal don't work for me. Anyone who claims she's a killer after the courts have freed her is just being foolish. Were these people hiding under the bed in Maria Susairaj's flat when the crime happened? How do they know better than the judiciary? Why attack the girl?

Q: Have you taken this empathetic view in your film?

A: My film is not about Susairaj. My point is, how can something so brutal happen in a city like Mumbai? Yes, the incidents in my film are similar to Susairaj's case. But it's not her biopic.

Q: Then why did you shoot it in her apartment block?

A: I wanted to capture the authenticity of the crime. When I shot 'Satya', I went to the locations where the crime happened. At the end of the day, I want to capture the reality of the situation to the best of my abilities.

While the world is speaking about her smooching scenes in her upcoming films, Mahie Gill reveals what her family had to say.

Two of Mahie Gill's films are releasing within a month's gap and incidentally both seem to be making news for the same reasons - her liplocks. The actress has shot for intimate scenes with Deepak Dobriyal in Not A Love Story and with Randeep Hooda in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster .

While much has been spoken about her smooching stint, ask her what was her family's reaction on the scenes and Mahie says, "It was very funny. I have two brothers and the one who is in California was quite cool about it. But my mother was scandalized and wondered what kind of films I had got myself into. For her, the girl who once wanted to do PHD was now kissing in films".

Meanwhile, wasn't director Ram Gopal Varma embarrassed about the intimate scenes and even apologized to Mahie for it? "Well, he didn't go on saying sorry sorry as reported. But it was really sweet of him. Ram Gopal Varma is a very shy person and because he hadn't shot a smooching scene in his earlier films, he was quite nervous about it. Moreover it was the first day of the shoot and, to make things worse, we had to do several retakes to shoot the scene from different cameras and different angles. So he was feeling kind of awkward to ask me to kiss again and again".

However Mahie feels too much has been made out of the bold and intimate act, which is somewhere overpowering the emotional intensity of the film. "When you watch the film, you will realize that the kissing scenes are just a part of the film and not added for the heck of it. Kuch ajeeb ya gandha nahi lagega ! ", she signs off.

Mahie Gill looks all excited as she sits for a chat. And the girl knows what to talk. So, she immediately gets talking about her next film, which has been directed by Ram Gopal Varma and is 'inspired' by the Neeraj Grover-Maria Susairaj case.

"We shot for the film in the same building where the murder had taken place. The only difference in the location was that while Neeraj was murdered in flat number 201, we shot in flat number 1501. For seven days, we shot in the same house, with blood splattered all around," recalls Mahie, whose character in the film is 'inspired' by Maria Susairaj.

"Playing Anusha Chawla has been mentally exhausting and emotionally tiring for me. It was a little creepy and stressful. I still remember being in the lift and thinking how they must have executed the murder and chopped the body," she says.

"A couple of times when I was in the lift, it suddenly stopped on the second floor with flat number 201 right in front of it. And no one was there. Also, we heard rumors about how a restaurant was still getting calls from flat number 201 and someone would order food."

How did she prepare for the role? "Initially, I had thought of meeting Maria and knowing more about her life, her mannerisms. But later, I dismissed the idea because the movie is only inspired by the Neeraj Grover murder case and not based on it," she says.

After discussing how the dancing to the song "Rangeela" for the film came as a surprise to her, she finally gets talking about things other than films. Blushing, she confesses that the Cupid's arrow has struck her. "Yes, I am in a relationship with someone. We have been good friends and it is because of my friends that we are in a relationship right now. He is not from the industry and I'm happy about it," she says. So, is marriage on the cards? "Marriage? I don't know about that," she says and quickly adds, "Not so soon."

After Maria Susairaj, former naval officer Emile Jerome has now sent a legal notice to Ram Gopal Varma demanding that the filmmaker’s forthcoming film cannot be released without his consent. Emile Jerome says in the notice that he fears that the film might be biased against him.

Emile Jerome and Maria Susairaj have been convicted of murdering Neeraj Grover. Emile is serving a 10-year prison term for ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder’. Maria has been released from prison since she has already served three years for criminal conspiracy during trial.

Both Maria and Jerome claim that the forthcoming Ram Gopal Varma film (Not a Love Story) cannot be released without their consent since it is based on the Neeraj Grover murder case.

Varma says that he would neither show the film to them nor take their consent as his film is just inspired from the case.

“After Maria, I have received a similar legal notice from Emile Jerome and he has asked me to stop the release of the film. He has demanded that I seek his consent before the release of the film. I am not going to halt the film’s release at any cost. There’s no question of showing the film to either of them,” says Varma.

According to the legal notice, Jerome wants Varma to get his approval before the film’s release. Maria has made a similar demand in her legal notice that was sent to Varma two days ago.

The film starring Mahie Gill, Deepak Dobriyal and Ajay Gehi in pivotal roles, releases on August 19.

Varma adds that though the central plot of the film is similar to the case, it is just ‘inspired’ from the case and hence has legal responsibilities to neither Jerome nor Maria.

“My heroine is not a South Indian actress and her fiancee is not in Navy as in real case. Also, the film is just an interpretation of what could have happened and not a reporting on what actually happened. No one was there to know what the reality is. This is not their story and I am not showing the film to either of them," he said.

Convicted criminal Maria Susairaj has sent a notice to Ram Gopal Varma asking him to show her his film Not A Love Story before releasing it. The notice was sent yesterday.

The film is said to be inspired by the Neeraj Grover murder case, in which Maria was one of the two prime accused, though Varma himself denies it.

In the notice Susairaj claims that she is worried the film will show her in bad light.

The former Kannada actress's lawyer says the media has cited that the film is based on her and if that is true then her consent needs to be taken.

Maria was convicted for destruction of evidence by a sessions court in Mumbai in the Neeraj Grover murder case. She was let off on the more serious charges, including that of abetting murder.
