Eros Internation acquires Maatraan..

Eros International Media Ltd. has acquired the Tamil theatrical rights for the K.V Anand directed Maatraan starring Suriya, Kajal Aggarwal, Vivek, Sachin Khedekhar and Isha Sharvani. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film has been widely shot in Pakistan borders, Jodhpur, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Russia, Croatia, Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.

Commenting on the acquisition, Sunil Lulla, the Managing Director of Eros International said that with Maatraan, Eros continues to explore and establish its presence in the regional film markets. He also added, “The film promises to be one of its kind action thrillers and we are happy to associate with AGS Entertainment Private Limited to release this much awaited film with the hugely popular Suriya”.

Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Director, AGS Entertainment said, “There exists a huge potential for AGS Entertainment and Eros International to synergize given our experience in Tamil film production and their global presence with content spread across most leading Indian languages.”

K.V Anand's Maatraan starring Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal has reached its last leg of shooting.

The director of the film has been shooting for the film in the exotic locations of Russia, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Albania. The director and his crew are now in Jodhpur for the last schedule.

In his social networking page, K.V Anand blogged, “Shooting the last phase of Maatraan in Jodhpur with 500 junior artist & Suriya. It's very hot here (around 41 degrees).”

Maatraan, that is being produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram also stars Vivek, Isha Sharvani and Sachin Khedekar in supporting roles. With cinematographer Sounder Rajan handling the camera and Anthony, editing the shots, the film would have music composed by Harris Jayaraj.

New heroine for Viswaroopam?

Bollywood beauty, Sonakshi Sinha is not the only one who will be romancing Kamal Hassan in Vishwaroopam. Isha Sharvani has also been roped in as the second female lead, for a fine dancer that she is, formally trained in Kalaripayattu, Kathak, and other classical dance forms.

Isha has starred in Hindi films like Kisna, You Me aur Hum, and Luck by chance. She is also a page 3 regular as she is currently dating cricketer, Zaheer Khan.

Vishwaroopam will be a trilingual shot in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi with a whopping budget of a hundred and fifty crores to be produced by Telefoto films.

Kamal Hassan in addition to directing and acting in the film will also handle screenplay, lyrics, and the dialogues with Bollywood trio, Shankar, Ehsaan, and Loy scoring the music.

Shooting will begin in August and filming will take place across the length and breadth of Europe.

Wedding Bells for Isha and Zaheer

Sorry girls, yet another eligible bachelor, Zaheer Khan, may soon go off the list straight into Isha Sharvani's arms

Soon after India emerged victorious at the World Cup 2011, and Zaheer Khan finished as the highest wicket taker of the tournament, his proud parents were reportedly insistent on getting the best bowler (read, flavour) of the season married.

And their wish was Zaheer's command! We hear Zaheer is planning to walk the aisle with his long time girlfriend and Bollywood actress Isha Sharvani very soon.

Buzz is that the couple plans to tie the knot this year. A source close to the couple said, "Ever since they gave their relationship a second shot, they have come even closer than before. Wedding bells are in the offing."

The couple met at a function in 2005 when the touring Australian team was leaving India and Isha was performing at the event. But it wasn't exactly love at first sight.

They kept bumping into each other at parties and social dos and eventually led a strong relationship for two years. Reportedly, Zaheer even helped Isha find a place in Khar.

They called it quits in 2007, post which they didn't stay in touch. How deep must their love be that neither of the two was ever linked with anyone else in these two years of separation. On July 28, 2010, Mumbai Mirror broke the story that the couple is back together, trying to make things work, come hell or high water.

Last evening, we called up Isha to ask if the couple is indeed planning to seal their relationship with a 'married' tag. Isha did not deny.

But all that she simply said was, "I really don't want to comment on this." Zaheer however remained unavailable for comment.

True love has borne fruit, should we say?
