STR has been surprised by the sudden constant reports in the media about Manmadhan 2 and that he is working with Anirudh Ravichander in this movie.

The actor has clarified that he has to first complete the script of this sequel before anything else is officially confirmed. He has even requested his media friends to leave Manmadhan 2 aside for the time being.

As of now, STR is super busy with films like Podaa Podi and Vaalu. Vettai Mannan would be resumed after the completion of these films.

There are reports that Podaa Podi would be STR's first release. Gemini Film Circuit is distributing this movie that launches Varalakshmi Sarathkumar opposite STR. The recent single track and teaser of this flick has pleased STR fans and his toned look has won him extra brownie points.

STR will be taking part in a special song sequence in Santhanam's maiden production venture 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya' aka KLTA. Composer Thaman is scoring the music for the film that is co-produced by Ramanarayanan.

Santhanam has been an integral part of STR's films like Manmadhan, Silambaattam and Vaanam. The profound comedy combo is likely to return in KLTA and in STR's forthcoming film Vaalu.

KLTA co-staring Power Star Dr. Srinivasan alongside Santhanam is expected to be a laugh riot all the way in the lines of the 1981 K. Bhagyaraj film 'Indru Poi Naalai Vaa' best known for its Hindi tuition scene involving the evergreen laughter blaster "Ek gaun mein, Ek Kissan - Raghu Thaatha!".

The above mentioned song sequence for KLTA featuring STR is expected to be shot over the next two days in Binny Mills near the Chennai airport.

A teaser of the Love Panlaama Vaenamma song from the STR and Varalakshmi starrer, Poda Podi was released yesterday.


The teaser features STR in trendy costumes and rapping to a very catchy tune. The lyrics and dance moves also in true STR style make one sit up and take notice.

Fans are loving his look and amazing footwork in this hummable number and have been showering him with praise via social networking and microblogging sites.

The actor has also been receiving compliments for his ripped body. The gym time he has put in appears to have paid off.

Celebs like Venkat Prabhu and Premgi also appreciated the teaser effusively. STR thanked them and his fans as well for the overwhelming response.

Hansika Motwani is riding high as her career has turned red hot.

The lovable actor after having lost a lot of weight and is looking very fit. She has films with Arya, STR and Suriya and is looking hotter than ever according to her fans.

"I workout to be fit and healthy and I do not punish myself keeping away from food I relish," said the bubbly actor denying of her trip to the USA to put herself through extreme regimes to get a size - zero body.

In fact, her fans have been begging her not to lose weight as she is hot the way she is. Hansika said she is touched with their love and agrees with them that she does not have to become pencil thin to be desirable.

STR makes the most unpredictable moves!

The Young Superstar has been very busy shooting for 'Vettai Mannan' and 'Vaalu' produced by S.S Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. While 'Vaalu' co-starring Hansika and directed by debutante Vijay is announced to be a quickie that would release for Diwali this year, 'Vettai Mannan' directed by Nelson also starring Jai, Hansika, Deeksha Seth and Poonam Kaur is slated for a pongal release next year.

Incidentally Arya's 'Settai', directed by R. Kannan of Jayamkondaan fame is also expected to hit screens for Pongal next year. The film that was earlier titled 'Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam' is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit 'Delhi Belly' that also co-stars Premgi, Santhanam, Hansika and Anjali  in the lead roles.

It is expected that STR and Arya will be fighting it out with each other for the top spot at the box office for Pongal next year. Interestingly, Hansika is the common denominator in all three films.

STR and Hansika are shooting their scenes together for Vaalu, an Action-comedy film directed by debutante Vijay and produced by S.S Chakravarthy of Nic Arts.

A bus stop set has been erected at the AVM studios and the scenes are been Filmed there. Insiders report that the energy levels are very high on the set and there is a great vibe happening between the leads.

STR's upcoming action film 'Vettai Mannan' co-starring Hansika is also produced by S.S Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. The film directed by Nelson also has Jai, Deeksha Seth and VTV Ganesh rounding out the cast.

The climax scenes have been shot in Binny Mills and the film is speeding towards the finish line.

It is no secret that STR is a huge Ajith fan.

STR says that the music of Billa 2 is rocking and congratulated buddy Yuvan Shankar Raja for his excellent work. The actor said that Gangster and Bounce are his favorite tracks and he is playing them constantly.

STR has begged his fans and followers to say no to piracy and to buy only the original versions.

Piracy has been crippling the industry and many stars have joined the anti - piracy movement to make sure their films are not affected. But STR is the first to take up the fight on behalf of another actor's film.

Sana Khan, the actor best known for her appearances in ad films or perhaps her item numbers in Indian films or for her performance as Janu in STR's Silambattam was recently reported to have been arrested in a prostitution case by a section of media.

It was later confirmed that the actor arrested for brothel by the Bengaluru police was a Bollywood junior artiste by the same name and this case was misinterpreted reporting that the Silambattam actress has been detained by the police.

Sana Khan, the Silambattam actor who was devastated by this news expressed that the report has caused a permanent damage to her reputation. She has also said that she would take the matter to the court.

The Bengaluru cops have also clarified that, the woman who was detained for prostitution was a Bollywood junior artiste and not a Kollywood and Tollywood actress.

STR, who is presently busy with his Podaa Podi and Vettai Mannan, will be shooting the teaser for Vaalu, his upcoming film, tomorrow in Taramani.

Along with STR, the film’s lead lady Hansika and supporting actors Santhanam and VTV Ganesh will appear for the shoot.

The director of the film has decided to shoot a scene from the film and release it as a teaser. Following the teaser shoot, G Venkatram, who did the CCL calendar 2012, will do the photo shoot for the film.

The film will be directed by debutante Vijay and will be produced by S.S. Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. Shakthi, a regular of Nic Arts will handle the camera and Thaman will be joining STR again after Osthe to entertain his audience with his music.

STR is feeling upbeat about his film Poda Podi with Varalakshmi Sarathkumar.

The team recently filmed a song in Disneyland, Hong Kong and apparently it has turned out great. A big plus for STR was the presence of his beloved nephew, Samarth in the song. The tiny tot plays his son in the film.

As far as STR is concerned, Samarth made the experience truly special. The song that was filmed was a father and son song and is called Paapa. STR praised Dharan and Vaali for the tune and lyrics.

STR said that the lyrics go like this, "Paapa naan irukken pa, motheravum irrupen pa, Yepavumey nandhan pa unn firstu friend pa unn bestu friendu pa".

STR himself has sung the song and he said that it is his favorite in the album and hopes that his fans love Samarth and the track as much as he does.

STR who is presently working in Nelson’s Vettai Mannan with Jai, Hansika Motwani and Deeksha Seth, recently signed another film titled Vaalu, directed by newbie Vijay.

Santhanam is also expected to do an important role in the film.

The film will be produced by Nic Arts and Thaman will once again join STR to delight their fans.

The film’s crew is very positive about releasing the film for Deepavali and expects that it will be a special treat for his fans.

The film’s camera man, Sakthi is also handling the camera for Vettai Mannan and STR’s Love Anthem. He has used the Super 35 mm camera and also some portion used panavision.

STR is quite the doting son and he is currently working on a super gift for his parents. 

It is a spanking new house for them which STR is designing himself. 

The actor said that he kept their tastes in mind while designing each room but also made sure that everything is ultra modern. He added that it will be ready in a couple of months and that he can't wait to move in with his mom, dad, brother Kuralarasan and sister Ilakiya.

STR is currently wrapping up Poda Podi and Vettai Mannan. Vada Chennai helmed by Vetri Maaran will go on the floors in June. 

STR will also be doing a film for Nic Arts entitled Vaalu to be be directed by debutant Vijay in which he will be romancing Hansika. And he will also be part of a dance competition organized by 7up, the soft drink he is currently endorsing.

'Vettai Mannan' produced by S.S Chakravarthy of Nic Arts is an action-thriller written and directed by debutante director Nelson. STR is currenly shooting for this film with Jai, Hansika Motwani, Deeksha Seth & Poonam Kaur in the lead roles.

While STR is busy shooting for Vettai Mannan, the producer of the film signed STR up for a new film that is to be directed by another debutante Vijay. This announced project is in pre-production and has been titled 'Vaalu' meaning Naughty.

The latest development in the production of 'Vaalu' is that, Kollywood's most wanted girl 'Hansika Motwani' has also been roped in to romance STR as his love interest in the film. The music for the film will be scored by Thaman, whose combination with STR in Osthe worked big time.

STR AKA Simbu is probably the most eligible bachelor in the South. He is always being peppered with questions about his love life and marriage plans.

Work has been his partner for quite a while now and he has been powering ahead on the career front with back to back movies and has even recorded a music album for Sony.

Deciding to put an end to the speculation, STR has said that he has given in to parental pressure which he has resisted for the past four years and asked his mother to go ahead and find a girl for him. He said that his marriage will take place next year. He joked that if he doesn't fall in love by then, he will just go ahead with his mother's choice!

STR has been in the USA for a few months working on his love anthem which will be part of his first album.

The actor is now back on Indian shows and has returned to work with a vengeance.

Work will resume on STR's pending films 'Poda Podi' with Varalakshmi and 'Vettai Mannan' with Deeksha seth and Hansika.

The actor is also done shooting a commercial for 7up.

GV Prakash has done the music for this ad and he has revealed to STR fans that the commercial will be aired in a few weeks.

Once the reigning queen of Sandalwood had a good career in Kollywood playing the lead opposite Vijay in 'Madhurey' after her debut opposite Silambarasan. The actress despite of a promising career had bid adieu to films five years ago to take care of her child after her marriage to Kannada director, Prem.

Rakshitha joined the BSR Congress on her 5th Wedding Anniversary.

“I am a fan of Sriramulu. He won by a great margin in the recent assembly by-election. I am confident that BSR Congress will be No. 1 within a span of six months in the state,” said Rakshitha adding that joining politics was not a sudden decision.

Coincidentally, Divya Spandana who also made her Tamil debut with STR in Kuthu has also joined the Youth Congress in Karnataka.

There is a buzz that a popular director is trying to get Silambarasan and Nayantara onboard for his next.

Nayantara has made it clear that she is looking to revive her acting career and has already signed Vishnuvardhan's project alongside Ajith and Arya.

A popular director in Kollywood is said to be in talks with Nayantara for a film that is to have Silambarasan as her lead pair.

It may be mentioned here that the two had fought bitterly during the making of Vallavan and vowed never to share the screen space again.

Sources close to the actor say that Nayantara is now keen on getting good offers in Tamil films and is expected to patch up and pair with STR if the role convinces her.
