Poorna to pair with Arulnidhi..

Shamna Kasim, the model/actor who started her career as a classical dancer and got into media as a contestant for 'Super Dancer,' a reality -based dance competition on one of the leading Malayalam Television Channels.

The actor adopted the stagename 'Poorna' for her debut in Tamil film 'Muniyandi Vilangiyal Mundramandu (2008)' opposite Bharath. She was then seen in 'Kandhakottai', 'Drogi', 'Vellore Maavattam' and 'Aadu Puli' until her recent release 'Vithagan (2011)' opposite R. Parthiban.

The actor who recently made it to headlines for her steamy liplock with co-star Allari Naresh in 'Seema Tapakai (2011)' is now back in news again. This time its for a new project that she has been signed up opposite ‘Mouna Guru’ fame Arulnidhi in the lead. The yet to be titled film will be directed by Ganesh Vinayak, who was to direct Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal.

The rest of the cast and the crew for this project is yet to be finalized and an official announcement can be expected later this month.

Arulnidhi signs up for interesting project!

Arulnidhi whose performance in Mounaguru has been widely appreciated is playing it smart when it comes to his career and giving preference only to projects with powerful scripts.

The actor will be next seen in a film to be directed by Karu Palaniappan, famed for his films like Parthiban Kanavu, Pirivom Santhipom and Sadurangam. This film is entitled Ashokamithran and was launched Friday on 3rd February 2012.

Insiders buzz is that the script is a winner and Arulnidhi was floored when he heard it. It is being touted as a sure - fire hit on the strength of the script.

Iniya post Vaagai Sooda Vaa

After making a decent debut in 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', in which her performance was lauded by the critics, young actress Iniya is now a part of one more promising film - 'Mounaguru' starring Arulnidhi in the lead role.

"I faced enormous difficulties during the shoot of Vaagai Sooda Vaa, as we had to work under the hot sun for 45 days. But the appreciations I have been receiving post the film's release have made me forget all those things. Thanks to director Sargunam," said Iniya.

Iniya says "I am not ready to accept all the projects that come my way. I will be as choosy as possible, as I would like to retain the good name that Vaagai Sooda Vaa had gifted me," and added that "Mounaguru is one such offer which is interesting and performance oriented."

Directed by Sharath, the film will have music by Thaman.

"It is a unique storyline in which Iniya plays a medical student. Arulnidhi's role will come with a lot of surprises and it will be a different treat to the audience," said the source.

Udhayan would have Arulnidhi playing a polished city dweller after his rustic villager act in Vamsam. The film will revolve around him and his experiences in life after an unexpected episode.

Pranitha Subbaiah who made her debut opposite Darshan in the Kannada remake of Pokkiri is the heroine and the actress is pretty confident that she will be well received in Tamil Nadu as the role is tailor made for her.
