Director K.S Ravikumar is making his directorial debut in Bollylwood with the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit 'Saamy' with Sanjay Dutt in the lead.

If our Bollywood sources are to believed, then K.S Ravikumar has supposedly created wonders with Sanjay Dutt's work ethic.

The actor, who hardly shot couple of scenes a day in the past is now shooting up to six scenes a day without budging until his director is totally satisfied.

The actor himself was heard saying that he now understands how top stars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan work in the South, on the evidence of K.S.Ravikumar's previous experience with the two superstars.

As reported earlier Kamal Haasan’s magnum opus Vishwaroopam will hit the screens in October.

Now we hear that the film will release on October 12th, K,V Anand’s Suriya starrer 'Maatrraan' is also expected to hit the screens on the very same day.

Kamal Haasan plays a Kathak exponent and a secret agent in Vishwaroopam. Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah play the female leads and Rahul Bose, Jaideep Ahlawat, Samrat Chakrabarti, Nassar and many others play character roles.

A major portion of the film was shot in Chennai and New York and the post production is being carried out in Los Angeles.

Kamal Haasan’s ambitious project 'Vishwaroopam' that even inspired Barrie Osborne to rope in the actor for his upcoming Hollywood project, is in its post-production.

The music for the film has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and is expected to release in September.

If reports are to be believed, the film will hit the screens in October, 2012.

It is touted that the film is being made for the global audience and a sequel for the film is also almost ready for its release after the first part.

Directed and produced by Kamal Haasan, the film stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Rahul Bose, Nassar and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Trisha Krishnan is amongst the longest surviving heroines currently with a good market in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries.

The actor who still looks as gorgeous as she did during her early days has worked against time completing a decade in cinema with her immense talents in both cinematic acting and dancing.

The Telugu film industry recently honored Trisha by awarding her the distinction on completing a decade in cinema during The Santosham Film Awards.

The humbled actor who has acted with almost all the Superstars in the industry received the award from Universal Hero Kamal Haasan and went on thanking her family, friends and everyone in the industry for supporting her success in completing a decade of acting career in cinema.

Trisha shared her excitement with her fans across the globe through the social networking micro-blogging website Twitter. She tweeted,

Little-known Tamil actor Dhanya Balakrishna, who hails from Bangalore, has become an "issue" between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu after she allegedly hurt Tamil sentiment by posting certain messages on her Facebook account.

Dhanya's facebook post regarding the IPL playoffs has almost cost the budding actor her promising career in Kollywood.

The actor's remarks ignited a fierce backlash on social networking sites, rattling the tinsel world damsel so much that she has decided to shun the Tamil film industry for good.

After the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) entered the playoffs, the young star gave vent to her feelings at local team Royal Challengers Bangalore's defeat turning out to be a gain for CSK.

Referring to the decades-old Cauvery river water sharing dispute she wrote,

Note: This discussion was personal within Dhanya's friend circle and should have remained so. The screenshot of this post was published online by someone within the actor's friends list, that has cost Dhanya her acting career in the Tamil film industry. This must have been overlooked and shouldn't have become a public issue in the first place.

A new entrant to Kollywood, she had acted in the big-budget '7-Am Arivu' along with Kamal Hassan's daughter Shruti, and in a romance film, "Kadhalil Sodhappuvathu Eppadi', a runaway hit that also released in Telugu. With a handful of projects her career in Tamil filmdom looked very promising.

The actor asking whether Chennai is not ashamed has incensed emotions and the cyber world was on fire. Facebook was flooded with messages and even a Hate Dhanya page was created. Kollywood too did not relish her action and indications were that she might face the music in the days to come. Her indiscretion has given fodder to pro-Tamil parties to whip up passions.

South Indian Film Artistes Association president and politico R Saratkumar, who is on the campaign trail at Pudukottai for the assembly by-poll, said he would look into this after his return.

Having stirred a hornet's nest, Dhanya has issued a statement announcing her decision to quit Kollywood. "I am withdrawing from the films that I have accepted and I will not come back," the actor has said. This, she believes would put an end to the controversy.
Dhanya is not remembered for acting in any Kannada movies. But suddenly, she has become the centre of attention. The Kannada film industry's efforts to trace her have been in vain. No one in the Kannada film industry, is even aware of the actor's existence in the Tamil film industry.

Some of the biggest superstars of Tamil cinema hail from Karnataka, starting from Rajinikanth to the latest sensation Anushka Shetty. Even Action King Arjun and the dancing sensation and acclaimed film-maker Prabhudeva hail from Karnataka.

Shruti Haasan has been hunting for an apartment in Mumbai for a while now and she has finally found her dream pad in Bandra.

The actor is very excited about moving into her rented apartment soon and is already planning to rework the interiors.

Sarika and Akshara, Shruti's mother and sister also live in Mumbai.

The young belle is happy about staying close to her family besides being considerate on pursuing a Bollywood career from her new place.

Shruti's heart has a soft spot in Mumbai itself as she attended St. Andrews College in the city.

To celebrate this new phase in her life, Shruti has gotten a chic makeover and has colored her hair brown.

All eyes are on Kamal Haasan, when the news broke out that he was signed up for a project with Aascar Ravichandran. The actor's fans across the globe are very eager to hear about his next film after his magnum opus 'Vishwaroopam'.

It was reported that a mega budget film titled 'Thalaivan Irukkiran' was in the works but apparently, this project has been delayed because Kamal Haasan and the producers were keen to rope in Shankar, who didn't have the dates.

Now it is being said that Aascar films will make a comedy with Kamal Haasan.

Director K.S Ravikumar is expected to team up with Kamal Haasan again after films like Avvai Shanmughi, Tenali, Panchathanthiram and Dasavatharam.

Crazy Mohan will also join this team and word is that it is going to be a sequel to Panchathanthiram and will be a laugh riot. An official announcement is expected soon.

Will Simran be Kamal's heroine?

Jayam Ravi is kicked about his film with Samuthirakani in which he plays a dual role for the 1st time. One of the characters in the script is a middle-aged Casanova in the likes of Rajinikanth from 'Netri Kann (1981)'.

Jayam Ravi is working hard on his look as well as body language and dialect for his characters in his film with Samuthirakani requiring everything to be perfect. The actor realized that his elderly looks would be a crucial element for his role and only a renowned make-up artist can help him in pulling this off successfully.

The young actor, recalling the different avatars that Kamal Haasan portrayed in Dasavataram, has decided to request help from the master perfectionist 'Universal Hero - Kamal Haasan' who specializes in such legendary roles.

Kamal Haasan's roles of the elderly martial arts expert in 'Indian' and the nanny in 'Avvai Shanmughi' are great examples of magical work by a make-up artist and none but the superstar would know better of the kind of make-up that Jayam Ravi's role in  Samuthirakani's film would demand.

Ravi, a big fan of Kamal Haasan seeks the superstars help regarding the make-up and other particulars and is planning to meet him once he returns from his busy schedule in the United States of America, putting the finishing touches on his magnum opus, Vishwaroopam.

Ajith Kumar recently caught up with director Selva of 'Naan Avan Illai' fame and has expressed his desire to work again with his first director, who had introduced him with Amaravathi.

Apparently Ajith is interested in the remake of K. Balachander's famous film, Ninaithale Innikum (1979) and believes director Selva and his experience would do justice in remaking the Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Jayaprada starrer following the successful remake of 'Naan Avan Illai' with Jeevan.

The proposed project is still in its fledgling stage and the actor himself is keen in reprising Kamal's role in 'Ninaithale Innikum' . Perhaps Vijay is interested in Rajini's role in the film .

Only time will tell if anything will materialize from it. If this ought to happen, it be a treat for the fans.

Every film lover is dying to see Kamal and Rajini again together, sharing the screen space.

In fact there were rumours that Kamal would soon be resuming Marmayogi and that Superstar Rajinikanth would be a part of the film.

However, now there is a chance for us to see the two stalwarts sharing the screen space.

In this era, where the masterpieces of Sivaji Ganesan and MGR are being re-released, one of director K Balachander’s masterpieces Ninaithale Inikkum, starring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan is expected to re-release soon.

It seems to be the season of first-looks.

Billa 2 unveiled on Tamil New year. Now, we have news that Kamal is getting ready to unveil the first-look of his magnum opus Viswaroopam very soon.

All along, Kamal has been very secretive about this mammoth project and has played his cards very close to his chest, so much so that not even a single still has been available so far.

Therefore, it will be a huge suspense unravelled when Kamal officially releases the first-look.

All speculations about Kamal playing a terrorist and an army general will be confirmed or disposed very soon. And, as far as we know, the first-look could be followed pretty soon by the film itself.

Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam has almost been completed and the actor is now giving his work the final touches that is required for his magnum opus film.

According to reports Kamal Haasan is doing the role of an Army General. So we come to understand that the film has something to do with war and terrorism with Rahul Bose playing the antagonist. Not necessarily a terrorist as there are other reports that Kamal Haasan himself plays the role of a terrorist besides being a Army chief.

Pooja Kumar, an American actor/model who was crowned Miss India USA and has been a veejay for Channel V is the female lead in the film. She is returning to acting in Tamil films since Kadhal Rojave (2000) after starring in several feature films such as Night of Henna, Flavors, Hiding Divya, Park Sharks, Bollywood Beats, and Anything For You etc. Kamal Haasan's cast along with this sexy lass also has Andrea Jeremiah, Zarina Wahab, Samrat Chakrabarti, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shekhar Kapur in supporting roles.

Viswaroopam is being produced by Kamal Hassan under his Rajkamal International banner co-produced by Prasad V Potluri of PVP Cinemas with an expected budget of Rs.150crores. Ace composers Shankar-Eshaan-Loy are scoring the background music for the much awaited film that has wrapped up its shooting schedule.

Andrea Jeremiah has estabished herself as a singer and an actor but dancing makes her a little nervous, she admitted. Especially when she has to match steps with Kamal Haasan who is an exceptional dancer.

Andrea's role in Viswaroopam demanded that she learn Kathak and the films director Kamal Haasan for a perfectionist that he is, brought in acclaimed Kathak dancer, Birju Maharaj to train them.

"Kamal Haasan was an eager learner and picked up his moves very quickly. It wasn't very easy for me and I had a difficult time," said Andrea adding that "It was an honor to work with Birju Maharaj."

Fortunately, Andrea had taken Kathak lessons while in college and had somehow managed to keep up with the masters of dance!

Just when you thought that Aishwarya would get to sit back and enjoy the success of her debut film, ‘3’ starring husband Dhanush and Shruti Haasan, things take a strange turn in the debutant director’s life.

If the grapevine is to be believed, all is not well in the home front for Aishwarya R. Dhanush, the eldest daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth.

According to a daily, Aishwarya and Dhanush’s relationship is going through a rough patch. Thanks to the leading lady of their film – Shruti Haasan and her growing proximity with Dhanush that has left Aishwarya mighty miffed and the couple is not sharing their best relationship currently.

"Numerous instances in the public forum over the last few weeks have lent credence to the fact that there are issues between the couple. Dhanush, Shruti and Anirudh were on a radio show chatting away happily but the minute Aishwaryaa joined them, Dhanush feigned a headache and walked off the show," added the source.

Apparently, the Kolaveri Di star has made some comments about his director-wife in public which haven’t gone down too well with Aishwarya or her family.

Even at the premiere of ‘3’ the discomfort between Dhanush, Aishwarya and Shruti was very apparent for everyone to see.

"Dhanush came in first followed by Shruti and the duo spent considerable time alone. Aishwarya joined in later and when the team stood for pictures, the two ladies looked in opposite directions," said the eye witnesses.

"Dhanush is apparently doing his best at avoiding his wife in public and his closeness with Shruti that has now become more evident for all to see. Aishwarya is said to be very upset about the way Dhanush has been treating her," added another source.

Well, let’s hope the rift between the couple is just a temporary one!

Kamal Haasan has done it again!

The actor's film Viswaroopam has been wrapped up in record time and has made the deadline for Cannes, the prestigious film festival. The powers at Cannes extended the deadline so that Viswaroopam could be entered in the competitive category and Kamal did not let them down.

Word is that Viswaroopam will also be played at the Singapore Film Festival.

The cast of Viswaroopam includes, Rahul Bose, Shekhar Kapoor, Pooja Kumar, Andrea and has music by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.

Celebs Factory wishes the film all the best for the event at Cannes and Singapore!

Shankar seems to have set his sights on his next project.

After lot of speculations about a multi-lingual involving Kamal Haasan now comes the revelation that Shankar has arrived at a central theme for his next film.

The theme will be developed into a full-fledged script in the coming months by Shankar in association with the writer duo Suba. This association now extends the relationship that Shankar has been having with some of the modern day literary stalwarts in Tamil.

After collaborating with Sujatha for a number of projects and also with Balakumaran, Shankar has joined Suba for the first time. The combination is sure to provide another treat too Tamil cinema buffs. While this is the first time that Shankar is associating with Suba, the writer duo is by no means new to the film industry. They have proved their mettle in scripting through recent blockbusters like Ko and Ayan; they are also involved in K.V. Anand’s upcoming Suriya starrer Maatraan.

In fact, they have been involved in all of K.V.Anand’s directorial ventures starting from Kana Kandaen.

The union with Shankar is however the biggest thing that has happened to the writer duo in tinsel town and one is sure that they will be putting their best foot forward in what will be another keenly awaited product from Tamil cinema. The basic nature of the theme has not yet been revealed. Nor have any details about the prospective cast been discussed yet. We will keep you informed on the latest developments about Shankar’s next after the whopping success of Nanban.

Will it be a sequel to Endhiran? Keep your fingers crossed!

While most actors usually shy away from discussing their cosmetic surgeries, Shruti Haasan - the 26-year-old daughter of veteran actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika had no problem in admitting that she went under the knife for a nose-job before her Bollywood debut.

"I had a common disorder involving a deviated septum and I underwent Septoplasty, a corrective surgery in the United States avoiding further breathing problems," revealed Shruti Haasan on BIG CBS Love’s show “India’s Glam Diva” adding "Life has become a lot easier post-surgery and I am now able to sleep and sing peacefully without any difficulty. It was a minor procedure and I am greatly relieved."

Shruti, who made her Bollywood debut with “Luck” in 2009 is also a singer and was apprehensive about undergoing the surgery for the fear of the procedure affecting her voice.

Thus clarifying that the procedure was performed for medical reasons.

Kamal Haasan is planning to revive the mega budget project Marudhanayagam.

Kamal had earlier began the film with much fanfare in the year 1997 but after a few days of shoot, it had to be shelved due to various reasons.

Some said that Marudhanayagam is not commercially viable and that was the major reason for the project put in the backburner. Now, the situation is much better and Kamal is looking forward to revive the project.

Kamal Haasan is reported to have said that there is a particular role in the film which would be very apt for his dear friend Rajinikanth. He is looking to rope in the Superstar and if he does, Marudhanayagam cannot get any bigger ..

Ulaga Nayakan Kamal Haasan has recently bought a new Range Rover Evoque. The white colour Range Rover is the talk of the town.

The actor is known for his penchant for SUV’s and the brand new Range Rover Evoque is a new addition to his collection of cars.

Prior to this he was using a white colour Prado.

In March last year Kamal Haasan's Audi A8 L was in the news after he purchased the flagship model sedan introduced into the Indian market by the German car maker.
