Shamna Kasim, the model/actor who started her career as a classical dancer and got into media as a contestant for 'Super Dancer,' a reality -based dance competition on one of the leading Malayalam Television Channels.

The actor adopted the stagename 'Poorna' for her debut in Tamil film 'Muniyandi Vilangiyal Mundramandu (2008)' opposite Bharath. She was then seen in 'Kandhakottai', 'Drogi', 'Vellore Maavattam' and 'Aadu Puli' until her recent release 'Vithagan (2011)' opposite R. Parthiban.

The actor who recently made it to headlines for her steamy liplock with co-star Allari Naresh in 'Seema Tapakai (2011)' is now back in news again. This time its for a new project that she has been signed up opposite ‘Mouna Guru’ fame Arulnidhi in the lead. The yet to be titled film will be directed by Ganesh Vinayak, who was to direct Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal.

The rest of the cast and the crew for this project is yet to be finalized and an official announcement can be expected later this month.

Aasu Raja Rani Jackie Matrum Joker is an upcoming bilingual comedy flick directed by debutante Anil Sunkara.

The film that features an ensemble cast of Shaam, Allari Naresh, Vaibhav, Raju Sundaram, Kamna Jethmalani, Vimala Raman and Sneha Ullal in the lead roles is being completely shot in 3D with Red One camera system.

From what we have heard, actor Shaam has taken an extreme step of going nude for the film.

“The script required me to run into a lake completely nude as part of a comedy sequence”, says the gutsy actor.

The film produced by A.K Entertainments will be shot in 3D with the Red One camera system by Sarvesh Murari, with technicians brought in from the USA to guide production. Bappa Lahiri, son of Bappi Lahiri composes the songs while Thaman would score the background music for the film.

Abayam is a film that will mark the re-entry of actress Sherin Shringar best known for her debut opposite National Award winning actor Dhanush with Thulluvadho Ilamai.

The actress was then seen sharing screen space with Allari Naresh in Juniors, the Telugu remake of Thulluvadho Ilamai which didn't do any good to her career including Student No. 1, Whistle and Urchagam that added to her filmography.

Sherin was last seen performing in an item song, a special appearance in the Lingusamy directed Bheema that had Chiyaan Vikram and Trisha in the lead. The actress who was not seen in too many films after that, was away from any news that gave her the attention until now.

After several years, Sherin is back with Abhayam, a thriller that also has Naresh, Swathi, Sathya Prakash, Shafee and others in the lead.

Abhayam, the Tamil version of the 2005 Telugu thriller 'Danger' directed by Krishna Vamsi is a one of a kind thriller and has that spine chilling background score by Joshua Sridhar to thrill the audience.
