Kochadaiyaan, Soundarya Rajinikanth’s mega budget film has been the talk of the town since its initiation. Beginning with the long line of prominent actors in its cast followed by the rift between the two sisters Soundarya and Aishwarya over release dates, Rajinikanth’s health and finally now the poster.

The poster shows Rajinikanth portraying one of Lord Shiva’s poses. He sports long hair and a beard along with accessories on his hair, neck and leg. While the physique looks like the work of a ‘mouse’ we are sure Rajini’s fans will be over-thrilled to see the actor in the new avatar.

In the film however, Rajini plays an eighth century Pandya king who is known for his legendary valour. Soundarya released the first look of the film on Twitter. The music of the film is by A.R Rahman while K.S Ravikumar will wield the megaphone.

Rajinikanth alongside an ensemble cast including R.Sarathkumar, Katrina Kaif, Sneha, Aadhi, Shobana, Nasser and Jackie Shroff will be featured in Kochaidaiyaan, the first of its kind in Tamil cinema in terms of using motion capture technology. With cinematography handled by Rajiv Menon and background score and soundtrack .composed by Maestro A.R Rahman, the film is being directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth under K.S. Ravikumar's supervision who has penned the screenplay and dialogues.

While we eagerly wait for the film to hit the screens, tell us what you think about the poster.

Trust Aamir Khan to be humility personified.

Before flying off to London to shoot for Talaash, the actor drove down from Panchgani to Mahabaleshwar to meet Jackie Shroff.

A little birdie says, "Shroff was shooting for Ananth Mahadevan's Life Is Good. Considering Khan's star status, he could have easily summoned the senior actor to visit him. But he felt that since Jackie was shooting and is also his senior it would not be be right on his part to call the actor to where he was.

Instead he preferred to drop in on the sets personally. We assume Aamir Khan had dropped in to discuss the finer details of the project that launches Tiger Shroff." This development gives credence to talk that Aamir will in all likelihood launch Jackie Jr under his banner.

Telugu film Panjaa’s audio launch took place a couple of days ago in Hyderabad.

The Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer 'Panjaa' is directed by Vishnuvardhan. Interestingly, it was for this film that Vishnu moved out of Billa II, which he was initially supposed to direct.

Speaking at this audio launch, Vishnuvardhan said that he has yet to decide on his next project and maintained that he is unsure if it is going to be a Tamil or Telugu film.

It may be noted here that there are strong rumors that Vishnuvardhan and Ajith may come together after the star wraps up Billa 2.

Vishnuvardhan after delivering super hit Billa in Tamil is currently busy with his Telugu film with Power star, Pawan Kalyan.

The film that was actually planned for a Dussera release is now expected to join the Pongal race as the shooting of the film took more time than expected. With almost eighty percent of the film’s shoot being completed, the project that is now titled 'The Shadow' is expected to be wrapped up by October.

The Shadow, jointly produced by Arka Mediaworks and Sanghamitra Arts Productions, also stars Sarah Jane Dias and Anjali Lavania debuting opposite Pawan Kalyan with Jackie Shroff and Sesh Adivi in pivotal roles.

Currently in its post-production stages, the film would feature music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography handled by P S Vinod besides flaunting the glamdolls as they look their best.

Contrary to reports, Jackie Shroff has not been roped in to play Salman Khan's father in his upcoming Bodyguard.

Producer Atul Agnihotri has confirmed this. The actor, we hear, still has his heart set on Sanjay Dutt as his onscreen daddy, despite the ugly verbal duel the two friends had last week!

A close pal of Salman claims, "Salman had actually made the offer of his father's role to Sanju two days earlier, and the latter just laughed it off. At the party last Thursday, he brought it up again. This time, Sanju lost his cool and an angry scene ensued."

But Salman remains undeterred. The friend said, "Salman is not being unrealistic or spiteful by offering Dutt his father's role. Salman is the kind of person who would do anything for a friend. If Sanjay asked him to play a walk-on part in a film, Salman wouldn't think twice before doing it. So he sees nothing wrong in offering Dutt his father's role, and he won't take a no for an answer."

Just why Salman wants only Sanju for the dad's part is a mystery. According to a source, the role (a guest appearance) needs the presence of someone tough and macho, someone who Salman looks up to even in real life.

Hence, Sanju fits the bill. However, if the actor does decide to do his friend a favour, he'll have to make up his mind fast as the shooting of Bodyguard has to be completed by the first week of August.

Jackie Shroff may have been missing from the big screen for a while, but he's back with a bang in Cover Story -The Ultimate Interview.

The veteran actor stars opposite Sheena Nayyar in the concept-driven movie. The first look of the film is just out, and by the looks of it, it is certainly bound to be one glamorous affair!

Since Sheena is essaying the role of a top B'Town actress in the film, the poster is designed to look like the cover page of a glossy film magazine adorned with a stunning image of Ms. Nayyar.

The film itself is a one night account of a war journalist's interview with a film star and the scoop that he gets for the publication.

Written and directed by Dutch filmmaker Laurens C. Postma, Cover Story is the official remake of Theo Van Gogh's acclaimed Dutch film 'Interview' which was also remade in English by Steve Buscemi under the same title, starring himself and Sienna Miller in the lead roles. Cover Story is all set to hit cinema screens on 19th August, 2011.

Director Thyagarajan Kumararaja has said that when he narrated Jackie Shroff’s role in Aaranya Kandam to several actors in Kollywood, they either refused to do it or suggested some changes.

"It was Jackie dada who relieved me off my worries by immediately agreeing to play the role without any qualms and made me very happy with his decision without requiring any changes to the role that I feared none would take it up," he quoted.

"I felt that Ravi Krishna would suit Chappai's role even when he was in the scripting phase of Aaranya Kandam and got him signed up getting the other actors selected later," he revealed.
