Director K.S Ravikumar is making his directorial debut in Bollylwood with the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit 'Saamy' with Sanjay Dutt in the lead.

If our Bollywood sources are to believed, then K.S Ravikumar has supposedly created wonders with Sanjay Dutt's work ethic.

The actor, who hardly shot couple of scenes a day in the past is now shooting up to six scenes a day without budging until his director is totally satisfied.

The actor himself was heard saying that he now understands how top stars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan work in the South, on the evidence of K.S.Ravikumar's previous experience with the two superstars.

Actor Vikram is getting ready for the release of A.L Vijay's 'Thaandavam' scheduled to hit screens on the 28th of September, he is also getting busy with Shankar's 'ஐ'  side by side.

The actor during a recent press meet mentioned of his admiration towards his director Shankar for his razor sharp vision, the magnificence and the grandeur element that he brings in all his films.

While Vikram's look in the 1st look poster has already made a mark among his fans, he promised that 'ஐ ' would be 100 times bigger than 'Anniyan' both in terms of budget as well as the treatment of his role.

Produced by V. Ravichandran for Aascar films, who also produced Shankar's earlier outing 'Anniyan' with Vikram, 'ஐ ' has a superb technical crew comprising A.R.Rahman, P.C.Sreeram among others.

It’s known that Vikram is cool and easy going. But director A.L Vijay has an image of a serious person. But in a recent interview Lakshmi Rai revealed how naughty the director and the actor are.

After finishing a shot for Thaandavam, Lakshmi Rai had casually asked Vikram how many heroines he has in Thaandavam. Vikram took this chance to play a prank on the Lakshmi and showed her pictures he took with Reemma Sen and Shriya Saran in his mobile phone to answer her question.

After seeing those pictures, Lakshmi Rai panicked and complained to Vikram that she wasn’t even informed that there are so many actresses in Thandavam and that she would not have accepted the film if she had known about this earlier. Acting very surprised Vikram called Vijay and inquired about the issue very seriously. Taking a cue from the actor, Vijay played along. An upset Lakshmi Rai kept bashing the director, until Vikram and Vijay started laughing. That’s when she understood that the duo had played a prank on her and those photos were taken during different shoots.

Lakshmi Rai is very excited about her role in A.L Vijay's 'Thaandavam' which has Vikram, Anushka and Amy Jackson in the lead roles.

Lakshmi Rai said that she is not playing Vikram's love interest in the film and that she won't be romancing him.

However, the sultry looking actor kept up her fan's expectations and mentioned that her role in the film is very important and will be seen throughout the film!

The actor who left for London recently to join the Thaandavam team, feels that her role in 'Thaandavam' will be much talked about and will get her lots of appreciation just like the unconventional character she played in last year's smash hit, 'Mankatha'.

Lets await to see what 'Thaandavam' can do to the luscious belle and her blooming career.

Post pregnancy, Lara Dutta has finally signed her first film and shall start shooting August onwards.

Lara Dutta recently claimed that she would not be returning to Bollywood anytime soon.

"I am looking at films and scripts. But I am not going to be back on the sets for at least the next couple of months because I want to make sure that my baby is secure. Only then I'll be back," said the model turned actor who delivered a baby girl in January this year.

The sexy looking wife of Mahesh Bhupathi and the mother of his child has now put an end to her self-imposed exile from the film industry signing Bejoy Nambiar's film 'David'.

Apparently Lara will start shooting for the film from August.

Not much is known about Lara's character other than the fact that David has an ensemble cast of Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tabu, Vikram, Monica Dogra and others.

After making her debut in the Hindi film Ek Tha Deewana, Amy Jackson is currently in London shooting for A.L Vijay's 'Thaandavam' with Vikram and Anushka Shetty.

"I had a lot of fun grooving to the tunes composed by G.V Prakash. He takes after his uncle and has once again done a superb job," said Amy Jackson, complimenting the young composer of the wonderful tunes that he had composed for 'Thaandavam' that was shot in Cornwall, London.

The doll faced actor who is getting south bound with 'Thaandavam' after her cinematic debut 'Madarasapattinam (2010)' has now signed her first Telugu film 'Yevadu' opposite Ram Charan.

The sexy lass while questioned of her fitness regime said "I like to switch it each week so I don't get bored of the same workout and that way, my body doesn't get used to a certain training method."

"My butt is a problem area! The minute I slip up on my diet or miss training because of work commitments, the evidence is my butt," confessed the English beauty of her inability to follow a strict diet.

Some of Vikram's acclaimed Tamil movies have found takers in Bollywood. His hit Sethu, written and directed by Bala, was remade in Hindi with Salman Khan as Tere Naam. Directed by Satish Kaushik, the flick went on to be a hit for Sallu bhai as well.

The rights of another one of Bala's films have been bought by Satish Kaushik but this time it was nine years later than the release of its original!

Released in 2003, Pithamagan, which also stars Vikram, was a critically acclaimed film. So why has the director bought the rights so late? "I didn't have too much clarity with whom the rights were till recently. I saw the movie when it released and loved it but I took a gap from remakes," said director Satish Kaushik, who has just started work on his next project that is still in its initial stages.

Like most directors today who are vying to cast Bollywood's hit machine Salman Khan, in their films, Satish also is eyeing him. But if the director had to wait for him, the wait would be unbelievably long considering Sallu doesn't have dates!

"I haven't approached Salman yet. I need to first finish the script first and then I may approach him for it. But I think he is perfect for Vikram's role. I haven't finalized any of the cast as of now," said the filmmaker.

"Once the movie goes on the floors, I plan to invite him over. It's always good that the film's original director is part of the project. He'll be able to give additional inputs," he said adding that he plans to tweak the original script to suit the audiences in the north.

It's probably old news that Shankar and Vikram will be coming together for a new movie, tentatively titled Therdal (election), that is to be based on the Indian Electoral System and its corrupted practises in the process of election.

Director Shankar, after the success of his blockbuster 'Endhiran' with Superstar Rajinikanth has completed the scripting work for his next project and is scouting for producers.

Rumor has it that Aascar Ravichandran just might take the project up in his hands. But the next big thing would be the hunt for a heroine to be cast opposite Chiyan Vikram, who is currently shooting for A.L Vijay's Thaandavam with Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson.

Director Shankar, who usually is very specific about the heroine in his films is keen on roping a leading actor with Bollywood presence.

According to industry speculations, Shankar's hunt for the heroine is already on and is looking for someone along the lines of Priyanka Chopra.

Recent reports confirm that director Shankar has been discussing 'Thendral' with Asin, who is also in consideration for the role. If all goes well, we will get to see the lovely lass returning to Tamil films with Shankar's Therdal.

Suseendran, who gave hit films like Vennilla Kabbadi Kuzhu, Naan Mahaan Alla and Azhagar Saamiyin Kudhirai, has come up with his next script, after his last film 'Rajapattai' featuring Vikram failed to impress the audience.

The director recently noticed a potential actor in model turned actor Manisha Yadav, who portrayed Aarthy, an MMS victim in Balaji Sakthivel's hit film Vazhakku Enn 18/9.

Suseendran approached Manisha offering her the lead role for his next untitled film that he is sure will do well among the audience.

Manisha, the young lass who enthusiastically accepted the offer, said that she is presently working on her Tamil as the director has asked her to improve her pronunciations.

Lakshmi Rai, the suave actor best known for her roles in year 2011s biggest hits Kanchana and Mankatha celebrated her 31st birthday on the 5th of May, 2012.

Vikram's film, Thaandavam to be directed by Vijay already has two glam heroines - Anushka and Amy Jackson.

The latest addition to the cast of 'Thaandavam' is none another than Kollywood's sexy bombshell Lakshmi Rai, who rocked in Mankatha and Kanchana with her femme fatale routine. She has reportedly joined the Thaandavam team in London.

The music composed by G.V Prakash is expected to release over the summer and expectations are skyhigh for this film as Vikram and Vijay have already had a successful outing with Deiva Thirumagal.

The film is likely to be released in August or September.

Thaandavam, Vikram's next film directed by A.L Vijay with Anushka and Amy Jackson, has been progressing in and around Delhi and Chennai. Having finished almost 50% of the shooting, cast and crew of the film are expected to shoot the rest of the film in the UK.

Although it was scheduled to be shot in the US, delay in obtaining visa for the entire cast and crew made the producers opt for UK, stated a press release by UTV Motion Pictures.

While the director Vijay and cinematographer Nirav Shah have already left for the UK, rest of the team will fly in the next week.

Shooting will go on till mid-June and the movie is expected to hit the screens in August / September 2012.

Vikram's film, Thaandavam directed by Vijay and with Anushka and Amy Jackson as the heroines was supposed to release in July but it has been delayed and the release date will have to be postponed.

According to those in the know, the film is likely to be released in September instead.

Fans of both Vikram and Anushka will be disappointed with this. However, the audio launch will be held in July. The music for Thaandavam has been composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

The young composer who has already worked with Vikram and Vijay in Deiva Thirumagal has been acknowledged as a bright new talent and he will be hoping to deliver again with this album.

The Deiva Thirumagal team led by director A.L Vijay is presently busy with their next project, Thandavam.

The buzz is that Vikram, who is the film’s protagonist, will be playing the role of an undercover officer. The last time he did a cop’s role was in the super hit film Saamy.

The film stars Anushka and Amy Jackson as the lead ladies with Jagapati Babu, Santhanam, Nasser and Saranya in supporting roles.

Nirav Shah handles the camera and Anthony edits the film. G.V Prakash, who has been working with A.L Vijay since his Kireedam, is composing music for this film too.

The producers of The Dirty Picture are keen to cast Anushka in it as they feel she is perfect for it.

Anushka's representative however confirmed that she will not be doing the role, as she has absolutely no dates and is very busy with a number of projects in Tamil and Telugu.

Anushka is currently shooting for Thaandavam with Vikram, Irandam Ulagam with Arya, and Alex Pandian with Karthi in Tamil.

The makers of 'The Dirty Picture' are very much disappointed with this and are hunting for someone appropriate for the role that was inspired from the life of yesteryear sex bomb 'Silk Smitha'.

Bollywood lass Deepika Padukone, who is presently shooting for the much awaited 3D film Kochadaiyaan, has been approached by director Shankar for his forthcoming film.

The rumour is that the leggy actress seems to be quite interested in the film. But the news hasn’t been confirmed yet as the talks are still in its initial stages.

Though his previous film Nanban is still going strong in theaters, the Endhiran director isn’t interested in laying back and enjoying the success of the film. Instead he has started working on his next flick. The buzz around the industry is that this untitled flick might even feature Surya or Vikram.

With the ongoing strike, shooting schedules of many upcoming movies are being held outside Tamil Nadu.

The shooting of A.L Vijay's Thandavam starring Chiyam Vikram and Anushka is currently carried out with a few flashback scenes and songs being shot in and around Delhi.

The crew of the film along with Amy Jackson of Madarasapattinam fame will fly to US to shoot for other portions of the film once the schedule at Delhi is wrapped.

Vikram’s Bollywood film which is to be directed by Bejoy Nambiar has been titled David.

In this film, Vikram’s role is said to be very powerful and the director has etched it out perfectly well to suit the hero.

Tabu plays Vikram's female lead for his upcoming Bollywood film 'David' directed by Bejoy Nambiar who has the much acclaimed 'Shaitaan' to his credit.

For David an epic camera is being put to use to capture the scenes. The camera has a range between 3 and 9 K, say the industry sources.

According to the film’s director Bejoy Nambiar, the film’s story and Vikram’s role requires such a high definition camera.

Controversy continues to plague Ileana.

After the fiasco over the Jr. NTR film, Shakthi, it is Producer Mohan Natarajan who is furious with the Nanban actress.

According to Producer Mohan Natarajan, he had given Ileana an advance of Rs 50 lakhs for a film with Chiyaan Vikram that later had to be shelved for various reasons. He added that the actress is yet to return the money to him despite the status of the project.

Mohan Natarajan has filed a complaint with the Producers Council and has asked for immediate action to be taken against Ileana, on which the actress has declined to comment.

Ileana is currently busy with a couple of Bollywood projects including one with current sensation, Ranbir Kapoor.
