Mallika Sherawat was recently approached to host India's Sexiest Bachelors on a newly launched channel. The actress after an initial hearing asked for an astronomical fee.
However whatever the channel offered, the sexy siren would demand double of it. After a few rounds of negotiations, the channel decided that they were better off without her.
Says a source, "As the channel was launched in May, they are looking at grabbing eyeballs. The show would feature hot hunks, so they felt the sexy siren was the best bet to anchor the show."
Adds the source, "The show was for 10 episodes and among the names that are slated to feature include Sidhartha Mallya, John Abraham, Yuvraj Singh and Ranbir Kapoor.
Initially, Mallika showed interest but when the monetary talk began she was like a diva who refused to budge." In the past, Mallika had judged a few episodes of the dance show Chak Dhoom Dhoom on another channel. She was booted out due to her starry tantrums. The actress had turned up hours late at the launch of the show itself.
Later during the shoot, she had her list of demands that included not getting proper breaks during the shoot. An exasperated channel then replaced her with Urmila Matondkar. India's Sexiest Bachelors has now roped in Shibani Dandekar to host the show. Mallika, who is presently in New York, remained unavailable for comment.
Yuvraj Singh is in no mood to settle down. The 29-year-old cricketer has revealed that he will think about getting married only after Salman Khan settles down.
In an interview, Yuvraj said, "We are eligible bachelors, but Salman Khan is the rockstar. So let him get married first,
then I'll think about myself."
Yuvraj feels that trust is the most important aspect of a relationship and believes that relationships fall apart when the trust is broken.
Yuvi, who has been linked to actors Kim Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Karishma Kotak, Aanchal Kumar and most recently Ameesha Patel, has declared that he is single and said “This casanova image of mine is just wrong. I am linked to any girl I meet, and that is so unfair!"
A firm believer in love marriage, Yuvi said that arranged marriage is out of the question for him. "Marriage will happen only when I feel that I have found the right girl. I do not believe in arranged marriages, so it will only be love marriage for me."
Media is now abuzz with the talks of Amisha Patel and Yuvraj Singh’s friendship. Amisha was the special guest of Yuvraj Singh at the final match between India and Sri Lanka on Saturday at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. While Amisha enjoyed the match, another Bollywood hottie got clicked with Yuvraj. Neha Dhupia also shared a Yuvi moment and posted an image of her with the star-cricketer on Twitter.
Though many viewers must have missed the sight of Amisha cheering Team India in the finals, the actress confirms that Yuvraj invited her for the thrilling final. During the match Amisha also made other stars (Ranbir Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan) in the box nervous with her loud shouts.
But the actress couldn’t meet Yuvraj after the match. The crowd was going berserk and she rushed back to her home. If Amisha couldn’t make it, Neha did. The actress caught up with Yuvi at some party or a celebration, and didn’t miss the chance to get a photograph with the World Cup hero. She posted an image with Yuvi on her twitter page and wrote, “And the Cricket fever continues With @yuvsingh09...”
No matter what, the dashing cricketer from Punjab remains the hot favourite of Bolly haseenas.
