Actor Kareena Kapoor feels that she was destined to be a part of director Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine' and says the film is very close to her heart.

Bhandarkar first offered the lead role to Kareena but she couldn't do it due to date issues and it went to Aishwarya Rai. However, Aishwarya subsequently opted out due to pregnancy.

And the film once again landed in Kareena's lap and she said:

"Ever since I watched 'Chandni Bar', I wanted to work with Madhur Bhandarkar. Being a part of 'Heroine' was my destiny. The first time I couldn't do it because I didn't have dates and second time I was happy that the film came back to me. I had no second thoughts about it and agreed to do it. I had a wonderful experience working on this film and it is very close to my heart," said Kareena Kapoor.

Slated for a Sep 21 release, the film, which will focus on behind-the-scenes life of a heroine, also features Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda.

Karisma Kapoor is extremely proud of her sister Kareena Kapoor, whose career is shaping up pretty well and feels that "Heroine" will be a milestone in her acting journey.

The film's promos, including the item song "Halkat Jawani", has been released and Karisma says:

"It is a wonderful song and the promo of the film 'Heroine' is also looking very good. I am looking forward to seeing the movie."

"I feel that 'Heroine' will be Kareena's best performance. In fact, it will be the best," she added.

Coming out Sep 21, director Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine' revolves around ups and downs in an actor's career. Kareena plays the title role and the cast also features Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda.

Asked when both sisters will be seen together on screen, Karishna said:

"We both have not yet come across any such script. If we get a nice script where both of us have a good role to play, then we will work together. Let's see who comes up with a nice script."

Get the first look of one of the most-awaited and controversial films, Heroine. Madhur Bhandarakar has released the first poster of the film on his Twitter account. The poster has an ultra-glam Kareena lying on a bed with her legs crossed. Kareena is dressed in a shimmery tank top and shorts lying down on a bed surrounded by magazines and photos of herself and an empty wine glass.

The movie has Kareena Kapoor playing a high profile actress whose career goes off track and whose personal life tailspins into chaos. The actress has, in an interview, described her character in Heroine as a “bipolar” and “schizophrenic” personality.

"Presenting the 1st poster of Heroine to all my well wishers. Hope you like it," Bhandarkar tweeted.

The film, charting the journey of a Bollywood actress, is set to hit theatres on September 14. The film also stars Arjun Rampal as a popular filmstar and Randeep Hooda as a cricketer.

Apparently, there is also a steamy scene between Kareena and Arjun Rampal. Since its launch at Cannes last year, the film is mired in controversies. Aishwarya Rai, who was signed the film initially, dropped out owing to her pregnancy before Kareena was roped in.

Reema Sen is amazed at the response she has been receiving to her sensuous role of Durga, Sardar Khan's ( played by Manoj Bajpayee) second wife in "Gangs of Wasseypur" and expressed her thoughts about the size zero trend that she thinks is obnoxious.

"Anurag had told me that people were going to go crazy over my character but I never expected this. I never thought that people will be so ga ga over the character. People have found a cotton sari and a quarter second back shot so sexy - I am amazed," stated Reemma in a recent interview.

"Had it not come after 'The Dirty Picture', people would have said I looked fat. Vidya has made voluptuous look sexy and I really need to thank her," attributing her success to Vidya Balan.

"Everyone is so crazy over the size zero concept. I don't think fat is sexy but being skinny is not that great either. It's like their bodies are all the same and without seeing the face you don't know who it is. This is an obnoxious trend where people are anorexic and they try to look sexy," added the actor saying that she doesn't think skinny bodies make one look sexy.

Bebo, who is back to her size-zero avatar with Halkat Jawani, her Heroine song, has recently said: "Being fat is not sexy! Anyone who says that is talking crap. Voluptuous is sexy, but fat is out."

Sonakshi on the other hand remarked "People have told me they are happy that the full-figured Indian heroine is back. I have broken the size zero mould. I don't agree with the concept of being stick thin.

At the end of the day, Indian men want women who are well-rounded, voluptuous and curvaceous, someone they can hold."

Reemma, the latest entrant to the curvaceous league of Bollywood, wasn't quite chubby when she entered showbiz.

However, with Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and now Reemma Sen prove their best with their hot voluptuousness, women with curvaceous, well rounded and voluptuous looks are back again in vogue in Bollywood.

Sonakshi Sinha's act in a red saree in the song 'Chammak challo chail chabeeli' from Rowdy Rathore has forced people to draw comparisons with Kareena Kapoor's Chammak challo in RA.One. However, the actor brushes it off as mere co-incidence and insists the two not be compared.

"I am not just Chammak Challo, I am also Chail Chabeeli. I would like to say that Ra. One had not released when we had shot for this song and we had not seen that Chammak Challo in a red saree. It's just a co-incidence," said the 24-year-old belle in an interview.

Sonakshi insists that the two songs are completely different.

"Both the songs are different, it was westernised but our song is full of Indian melody. So you should not compare the two," said Sonakshi, who made her Bollywood debut with Dabangg.

Having said that, 'Chamak Challo' Bebo had agreed to sizzle for a hot item number in ‘Rowdy Rathore’ as a friendly gesture for producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-producer Shabinaa Khan.

The diva is reported to have raised the oomph wearing a glamorous black outfit to dance on the song.

Directed by Prabhu Deva, Rowdy Rathore will hit the silver screens on June 1. Besides promoting Rowdy Rathore, Sonakshi is also busy shooting for Joker, Lootera and Dabangg 2.

Those hoping to catch the first teaser of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine, which was to be attached with Rowdy Rathore on June 1, will have to wait a little longer.

It is learnt that the delay was caused due to differences between the director Madhur Bhandakar and the producers of the film. There is a clash of ideology on where and how to unveil the promo. A source reveals, "Madhur has cut a very hard-hitting teaser that shows Kareena smoking and drinking. The producers have reservations about such a dark promo and have asked Madhur to re-shoot it. The producers feel that the Censors won't release it without cuts. The director has his own vision of the first trailer and has agreed to delay the promo because he wants to include some more scenes in the promo that he still has to shoot."

Shikha Kapur, Executive Director - Marketing, for the studio confirms, "There were some shots in the teaser that showed the protagonist smoking and drinking, which we felt we should not include in the final cut as we wanted the teaser to cut across to as many people as possible. Hence it was a mutual decision to exclude the said shots. Madhur is also keen to include some really powerful shots in the teaser. These shots are there in the upcoming Heroine schedule and we are all really excited to the see the final outcome."

Bhandarkar who plans to re-shoot the promo says, "We want our teaser to reach as many people as possible and I now realise this. I will be including some very powerful shots in the new teaser. These shots will come in the next schedule of the film only. But it will be worth the wait."

Prabhu Deva is currently shooting Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. Once this is done, he will begin his next film with Salman Khan.

Both Prabhu Deva and Salman Khan met during the opening ceremony of IPL and finalized on another project to work together after their previous venture 'Wanted' became one of the biggest hits in both their careers.

Expecting their second venture together to be a bigger hit than 'Wanted', both Prabhu Deva and Salman are planning to rope Kareena Kapoor to play the heroine in the film.

Kareena, the Bollywood Queen is reportedly a big fan of Prabhu Deva ever since he choreographed some of her dance moves in the S.J Suryah directed 'Kushi' and from what we heard, the sexy belle is keen to work with him again.

Prabhu Deva said an official announcement will be made soon once he is done with Rowdy Rathore.

Actor/Director Prabhu Deva and Vijay share a good bond as both actors and dancers after working together for 'Pokiri' and 'Villu' together.

Prabhu Deva, who is presently filming Rowdy Rathore, the Hindi remake of S.S. Rajamouli's Vikramarkudu with Akshay Kumar in the lead, had asked Vijay if he could shake a leg for a song in the film along with him and Akshay.

Vijay, an esteemed actor that he is, has given his nod without any hesitation. Prabhu Deva observed this as a gentle gesture for an actor of such a high stature.

So, we will soon be seeing Vijay and Prabhu Deva shaking a leg with Akshay Kumar for a small part of the song. It must also be noted that Kareena Kapoor has also danced for a song in the film, without taking any payment.

Rowdy Rathore, now being touted as the most anticipated film of the year is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and UTV Motion Pictures.

Arundhati, the blockbuster that fetched Anushka Shetty her crown in Telugu is going to Hindi now.

Bollywood's reigning queen Kareena Kapoor will don the role played by Anushka in the Hindi version of Arundhati.

In the race for the role, where Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were contending for the role, Kareena seems to have emerged as the winner.

"I am excited to do Arundhati that had importance for the female character," Kareena was quoted as saying.

Sonu Sood plays the villain role in the Hindi version as well.

Recently released cheeky number 'Pyaar Ki Pungi' from 'Agent Vinod' is creating a lot of buzz.

"It was a very liberating experience. Dancing is generally a liberating experience. It's a lot of fun. I don't normally dance very much but it's easy when you have a song like that. I don't see any other way of dancing to that song. We made up some steps ourselves also. And we shot it in one night which was quite remarkable," said Saif being thrilled about his upcoming release.

The song 'Pyaar Ki Pungi' stars Lisa Haydon's sister Mallika who has also been noticed in 'I'll Do The Talking' track in Agent Vinod.

Mika Singh has worked his magic yet again.

"I didn't know Mika before. I met him in Chandigarh and he seemed like a very nice guy. He was very sweet to us. He seems like a very nice person and I look forward to working with him again," he added.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are excitedly waiting for March 23. Sorry, it’s not their engagement day, but the release date of Agent Vinod.

Actor-producer Saif recently admitted that his second home production, Agent Vinod, is along the lines of some of the films like the Bourne series, The Adventures Of Tintin and James Bond. The sleek promos of the film have shown that the movie is not going to fall short on glamour quotient, credit a girl in a bikini and Malika Haydon’s oomph. But will the fans get to see the movie’s actress Kareena Kapoor in bikini?

There were speculations that Kareena Kapoor, who has earlier donned a bikini in Tashan will also be seen in a skimpy two-piece in the film.

“I play a doctor, the lead role in the film and my role didn't need me to flaunt the curves sporting two-piece bikini. Moreover, every second girl nowadays is wearing a bikini. My character in the film may not be your usual Bond girl. Sure, she’s glamorous, but she looks hot and mysterious although fully clothed in a pair of jeans and a shirt or a full-length gown,” clarified Kareena, When asked her of the bikini act in 'Agent Vinod'.

Going by her comment it’s for clear that the actress is not just an arm candy of an agent but also has a good role to play. She is romancing Saif, dancing in a mujra song and has also done some action scenes. In a bikini or not, Kareena anyways would steal the show with her charisma!

Kareena also explains why 'Agent Vinod' is releasing now instead of last year. She says the delay has worked for them because last year action films like Ra.One, Mission: Impossible - The Ghost Protocol and Don 2 released, and now, she thinks that the audience is ready to lap up the adrenaline rush of another action thriller.

In a bid to grab as much attention before the release of his much touted action thriller Agent Vinod, Saif Ali Khan is now coming up with the graphic novel of the film.

The novel has an unusual (Germanic) name The Jungfrau Encounter, and its first look shows the silhouette of a goggled, gun-toting man, presumably the story’s protagonist based on the clever spy with multiple identities.

Agent Vinod has Saif Ali Khan playing a covert intelligence bureau agent. Kareena Kapoor plays his leading lady and Malika Haydon has an item number. The film is slated for a release on March 23.

By the way, Saif Ali Khan is not the first one to come up with a graphic novel on his movie. The idea of coming up with merchandise related to film goes back to Krrish. Last year, Shahrukh Khan came up with the graphic novels of his film Ra.One and Don 2.

Agent Vinod, an action spy thriller has got a U/A certificate from the censor board after a screening Wednesday and Saif Ali Khan is happy with this.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film has Saif Ali Khan in the title role and is releasing March 23. Kareena Kapoor plays the female lead in it.

"Our film has a lot of action but we have worked on keeping it more realistic and less violent. And after censor board's screening, we have got a U/A certificate and I am very happy," said Saif Ali Khan.

"We wanted more people and even the kids to watch the film. And my son Ibrahim is also very excited and told me that he and his friends want to watch 'Agent Vinod'," added the actor.

Actor Saif Ali Khan feels that his upcoming action-thriller Agent Vinod with Kareena Kapoor has the potential to become a successful franchise.

Though the actor says it is too early to talk about sequels, he does admit that the idea has crossed his mind already.

Saif, 41, has produced the film through his Illuminati Films banner besides playing the central character of a RAW agent in the movie, which hits screens on March 23. It has been directed by Sriram Raghavan, who gave Saif his career's first negative role in Ekk Hasina Thi.

"That film was a little ahead of its time but Agent Vinod is releasing on the right time. Sriram Raghvan is a very interesting director and he has done something remarkable in this film too," said Saif in an interview adding "I want to take one step at a time. If the audience like the film and they want more, we would go forward with it. I think the film is perfect for a franchise but it is too early to talk about it."

"The film has taken about three years. I got lots of bumps and bruises along the way but it was worth it because I felt it could be something. If it becomes a franchise, it would be a dream project." he concluded.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun of Tollywood has a firm favorite in Kerala as well better known by his fans as Bunny following his hit film Bunny.

Bunny has been invited to inaugurate a showroom for Emmmanuel silks, located at Kottayam on the 25th of March.

News is that the inauguration would also bring Bollywood Starlets Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor who have also been invited to model some of the exclusive clothes available at the store.

The Stylish Star is looking forward to this trip to Kerala, as he is keen to interact with his fans from Kerala and is also trying to expand his fan base by winning over the Tamil audience.

Word is that Allu Arjun and Selvaraghavan are holding talks about a bilingual film to be made in Tamil and Telugu to be made after Irandam Ulagam.

Trisha is thrilled with the overwhelming response that she has received on her recent film with Venkatesh, Bodyguard. Her role in Bodyguard that was originally played by Nayantara in the Malayalam version had Asin in its Tamil version, Kaavalan and Kareena Kapoor in its Bollywood remake.

Apparently Trisha's fans have been contacting her on social networking sites to compliment her on a job well done. In fact, they have been comparing her to famous legendary actresses like Savitri and Soundarya and the pretty lass felt humbled and thanked her fans for their love and appreciation.

Trisha who is now busy with a Telugu film Dammu with NTR Jr. and her Tamil film Samaran with Vishal, said that she will continue to do her best as an actress.

Dismissing any similarities with fictional spy agent James Bond, Bollywood actor-producer Saif Ali Khan says his character in Agent Vinod is totally desi.

The much-awaited action-spy film, with Saif and his real life lady love Kareena Kapoor, is ready for release. And comparisons with the James Bond series are inevitable, says Saif.

"Any audience who comes to see the film will think that we have done an Indian James Bond. This is a very stupid thing to do because firstly, James Bond is a completely English character," he told reporters on the sidelines of the launch of the first poster of the movie.

"From the first scene of the film, you will realise that this is an Indian hero who is very different to the Bond character because we didn't want to make a copy of the Bond film," added Saif.

However, if Agent Vinod turns out to be a box office success, Saif might consider making sequels to it, a la the James Bond series, of which 22 films have been made so far and Skyfall, the 23rd is in the process of being made.

"If the film does well, it depends on the audience. If the picture becomes popular, then of course we will look forward to making a series," said Saif.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the action-loaded film is slated to release on March 23.

The long-delayed Saif Ali Khan production venture Agent Vinod has been completed and the film will release on March 23, says director Sriram Raghavan.

Raghavan revealed that the celebrity couple - Saif and Kareena - shot for the last day of Agent Vinod on December 24.

"My shooting with Saif and Kareena is over. We are all done. Saif and Kareena did their last shooting for my film on December 24 and left for their holiday. We are now in post-production work. The release date is March 23," said the director known for making thrillers like Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddaar.

The Kareena-Saif wedding would follow in the last week of March or the first week of April.

The next schedule of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine has been advanced from the end of February to the middle of February to accommodate the promotion and release of Agent Vinod into Kareena's clogged schedule, followed by the wedding and honeymoon.

"After the release of Agent Vinod, the wedding will happen immediately. Kareena and Saif don't want to delay it any more," reported the source.

Today, Sunny Leone has dislodged Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as India's most googled celebrity.

Thanks to the media hype over her presence in the reality show Big Boss 5, she has acquired an incredible fan following in the country.

The honour of clocking the most number of searches for Sunny goes to surfers in Noida.

Google Trends data collected in the last 30 days shows that her photos and videos have been downloaded the most, after Noida, in Bhubaneswar, Ludhiana and Bhopal.

In the last 30 days, her name has been searched five times more than Bollywood diva Katrina and twice as many times as Aishwarya. And she was ahead of Kareena by over nine times.

Riding high on the success of The Dirty Picture, actress Vidya Balan, who has taken everyone by surprise with her bold portrayal of the role, inspired by late South sex siren 'Silk Smitha', says the reigning Khans of Bollywood can now use 'Balan' as a suffix to their names.

"I feel blessed for so much of appreciation and gratitude. I am happy that I got the chance to work with good directors and I should not take credit for it. I have never been part of any race for the number one position or anything of that sort," Vidya told reporters here.

"It feels good that people are saying that The Dirty Picture is not dirty. The film is a huge landmark for me," she said.

On being asked is she is the new female Khan in the industry, Vidya chuckled, "Well, the Khans can now add Balan at the end of their names, instead of me adding Khan to my name."

Reportedly, Kareena Kapoor also intends to get 'dirty' with her upcoming film, Heroine, to which Vidya says, "I don't think anyone can get dirty like this."

On whether she is the female version of Bollywood's serial kisser Emraan Hashmi, Vidya says, "The idea is not bad. If girls are trying to outdo boys in all areas then why not in this way."
