CELEBS FACTORY

Oviya, the model turned actor is best known for her debut Tamil film 'Kalavani' that helped her rise up to fame. She subsequently received several offers and was last seen in Pandiraj's 'Marina' after her cameo in Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu.

The actor was recently in news for her bold transformation with Sundar C's KalaKalappu that featured a blossomed Oviya from her 'Kalavani' days.

The glam doll may have shed her inhibitions but not her responsibilities as a good citizen. She has been devoting her valuable time to some worthy causes and is trying to help the less fortunate.

Oviya recently spent her day with cancer patients and their families, who were very happy to be with Oviya from hit films like Kalavani and Kalakalappu. The actor in turn did her best to put a smile on their faces and was supportive and encouraging.

The young belle is very happy with where she is right now both personally and professionally and feels it is only fair to give something back to the society which has done so much for her.

'Kalakalappu', a comedy caper directed by Sundar C with Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya in lead roles is running packed houses and those who have seen the flick would have also noticed the glamour quotient in the film besides laughing their f#cking a$$es out.

"I did not force Anjali and Oviya to wear glamorous costumes in Kalakalappu. I just explained them the demands of the script and the thorough professionals understood it," said Sundar C about the two leading ladies who were seen with an extra dosage of glamour.

Initially titled 'Masala Cafe', the film was rechristened as 'Kalakalappu' before its release worldwide. Following the stupendous response, the producers of the film have decided to go ahead with a sequel with exactly the same team.

Sundar C is currently busy filming Madha Gadha Raja with Vishal and Karthika and would turn his attention to the Kalalalappu II once this project is wrapped up.

Shooting for Kalakalappu 2 is scheduled to begin in October and Sundar C is expected to return with exactly the same team with Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya reprising their roles.

Kalakallapu is living up to its name and it is rocking as far as the audience are concerned.

Producer Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures has said that he is being besieged with offers for remakes of 'Masala Cafe' in Malayalam and Telugu which is why the release of the film in those two states have been put off.

In another exciting development that is sure to delight fans, the makers are thinking of a sequel for this film as they feel that there is plenty of potential for a second installment.

"Sundar C's script for 'Kalakalappu' has that universal appeal without any language barriers. It would not be surprising if the film is remade in Bollywood as well," added Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures.

It will be great to see Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Oviya and Anjali reunite again on the big screen.

Sundar C seems to have returned to direction with 'Masala Cafe' with Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya. It is old news that the movie has been wrapped and has been retitled 'Kalakalappu' before its audio release.

The film maker is back to what he does best and has completed his come back film in 90 days time.

Kalakalappu that has music by Vijay Ebenezer is now in news for its musical album that is been sold like hot cakes. This summer laugh riot is slated to be released on 11th May.

After this, Sundar C will begin work on his next film which is going to have Vishal in the lead. This project will be a romantic comedy and will have Karthika pairing with Vishal for the first time. The film has been titled 'Madha Gaja Raja' AKA MGR for short!

Ain't that an innovative title?

Sundar C's next film originally called Masala Cafe and starring Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Oviya and Anjali has been renamed Kalakalappu.

UTV Motion Pictures and Kushboo's Avni Cinemax are the producers. Ilavarasu, Panju Subbu, John Vijay, Balaji Mohan and yesteryear actor, VS Raghavan in a special appearance round out the rocking cast.

It is felt that Kalakalappu is the perfect title for the film as it promises to be a full - fledged comedy with lots of laughs and entertainment.

Shooting has been wrapped up and post production is underway. The audio for this film will be launched today, April 20th 2012 and the film is expected to hit the screens in May.
