Even though sister Karisma and boyfriend Saif Ali Khan couldn't be with her, Kareena Kapoor had enough reasons to smile as her wax statue was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds museum in Blackpool.

Kareena's statue dressed in a Manish Malhotra outfit from the Mauja Hi Mauja track from Jab We Met is placed right next to that of Amitabh Bachchan in a exhibition celebrating Bollywood.

To Kareena, the idea of having a statue of herself is a bit intimidating. "The idea of being immortalised forever is scary. The feeling hasn't sunk in yet. When I looked around the room, I realised I was the youngest person from Bollywood to be waxed. Also I am right next to Mr. Bachchan, so what more can one ask for?" Saying the best part of the statue are the eyes, Bebo adds, "They have done a marvellous job in capturing the eyes so well.

They are expressive and have that same feel which the song from Jab We Met showcases. I can't comment about my statue, but the fans who travelled miles to come and see it have loved it. They've all told me it looks exactly like me."

Kareena mentioned that "Saif couldn't come as he's busy with Agent Vinod. I sent him the pictures a night before on the phone, and he said 'it looked so hot! Karisma also couldn't be here as she is busy with her film," and added "When I am 70 and look back at these moments, I will definitely be proud of what I've achieved," concludes a proud Bebo.

Kollywood saw a massive clash between two big movies that were released during Diwali. One was the much-hyped AR Murugadoss’s 7am Arivu and the other, Jeyam Raja’s Velayudham.

With two popular heroes of Kollywood — Suriya and Vijay — battling it out on this festive occasion, it was rather surprising to learn who actually won the hearts of the masses this time.

7aam Arivu, produced by Udayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Films, saw massive publicity that ran for nearly a month before its release. Expectations too were soaring high for this film as the director who gave a runaway hit like Ghajini (both in Hindi and Tamil) was expected to deliver triple the success for this one.

Adding to the hype was Suriya’s role as Bodhidharma (a Buddhist monk) and Shruti Haasan's debut in Tamil cinema.

On the other hand, Vijay’s Velayudham was promoted at a mediocre scale in and around Tamil Nadu. With Vijay playing the role of a super-hero for the first time in his career, this one too created a lot of buzz before its release.

However, post the release, Velayudham’s stupendous victory has come as a rather surprising one. With critics and audiences voting for Vijay’s super-hero flick over Suriya’s 7am Arivu, the results have proved to be a shocker.

What really turned the tables?

“Before the release of these two movies, it seemed clear that 7am Arivu would win over Velayudham. The film’s massive promotional activities, claiming it as ‘something unseen’, proved to be a wrong tactic, once the film was released. With a lot of commercial elements in the film and scripting errors, people were let down by the Suriya-Murugadoss’s combination,” reports the source.

As a matter of fact, Velayudham which was released in comparatively lesser number of theatres across the country, has raked in more than 7aam Arivu in the first week of its theatrical release.

“Velayudham was promoted as an out-and-out commercial entertainer and did surprise the audiences when it was released. Though it had lesser publicity compared to the former, it has proven to be the ultimate winner. And while both the movies enjoyed a massive opening, the rather critical reviews let 7am Arivu down,” adds the source.

For films that rely only on promotional activities, the clear win of Velayudham proves to be a resounding lesson.

Shah Rukh Khan’s over-ambitious superhero project RA.One received quite a few negative reviews in India. Talking from Los Angeles, where the actor was on tour with his film team until Saturday, he says, seeming rather upset, “I was reading some reviews and they were silly. They are looking into some other aspect of filmmaking.”

Internationally, he claims that the Anubhav Sinha directorial got a great response. “LA Times has carried a fantastic movie review,” he insists, before adding, “We presented the film to a lot of people from Fox (Fox Studios, US) and we spoke to the foreign press on the technical aspect of RA.One. It’s important that we promote this ideology and explain to the world that we can do it.”

Within this week, the actor has travelled to Dubai, London and Toronto, before arriving in the US. His promotional rampage in India too made headlines. But the real challenge he claims to face is “showing the world that India too can make high-tech films.”

And to facilitate the same, he has set up a technically advanced studio in the city, which he used for the postproduction of RA.One. “The good news is that the studio is two or three years ahead of any other. This is the first step in that direction,” says the actor-producer, adding, “This is the time to bring this genre to India. And I have started it. Instead of cribbing, if you want to modernise and make different movies, you have to use this technology.”

Till Friday, RA.One had collected over Rs 60 cr at the box office in India, the film’s spokesperson claims. “I feel relieved to see it open well. I’ve been travelling, so I wasn’t able to follow the figures much. All my partners now feel that they’ll be able to recover their money.”

The film, which also stars Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor, released on Diwali, October 26 and was made for a reported budget of Rs 150 crore. Ask him about the sequel, and he says he’s leaving it all to time: “Let’s see how it fares. It’s lot of hard work. I’m happy how people have responded, despite mixed reports. Once it has come to the fore, I’ll give it a thought.”

Khan will be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial Don 2 in December, and will start shooting for Yash Chopra’s film in January 2012.

A report that is currently making its merry rounds in the glam world is about the Hindi remake of Arundhati, the highest grossing Telugu film of all time.

Yes, Arundhati is the same film that catapulted the dusky Anushka Shetty to dizzying heights of fame.

The movie that starred Anushka Shetty playing the title role with Sonu Sood in a crucial role was directed by Kodi Ramakrishna.

Reliable sources say that Gemini Film Circuit has bought the Bollywood remake rights and will be producing the film to be remade soon.

And though there are two Bollywood biggies — Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the fray to reprise Anushka’s role, a source close to the production house informs us that the latter stands a better chance to play the title role of the gorgeous Arundhati.

Other details of the film are still being worked out.

After a hectic schedule and a hit movie down south, Sameera Reddy is now excited about moving into her new house in the coming week.

Sam, who bought this property in February, was told her by her dad that she would have the house ready in three months. Well, not everything falls in place at the right time. But Sam considers it perfect timing for her as, "My den is probably the most beautiful place in the world right now. My sister and father have made the decor look just perfect.

My family and dear ones will be doing the house warming party with me along with the Lakshmi puja. I'm thrilled to move and the wait for me is finally over."

Let's hope that we soon get a glimpse of her new crib.

Gautham Vasudev Menon is very busy working on four projects at the same time.

Gowtham is simultaneously making 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi, and is also working on 'Ek Dhivana Dha', the Hindi remake of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya'.

After the completion of these films that are still in progress, Gowtham will move on to 'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru', his first venture with Vijay.

Rumour has it that Gautham has been toying with this idea of coming out with a movie every two years in this series like Yohan Adhyayam Irandu and Yohan Adhyayam Moondru, but the director has remained tight-lipped about this from revealing any details.

"Vijay plays an international agent in this flick," says Gautham and adds that "Yohan Adhyayam Ondru will deal with one of the assignments he does in a foreign country and it will chronicle two months of the protagonist's life."

On what made him to join hands with the Ilayathalapathy, Gautham says, "We both wanted to work together for a long time, but things didn't shape up very well until now. This time we were sure not to miss the opportunity and made an announcement on Yohan."

Roping in talents from other countries seems to have become a trend in the Tamil film industry.

Close to the heels of '7am Arivu' that had an imported Villain from Vietnam and 'Velayudham' with astounding stunts choreographed by a Hollywood expert, here comes 'Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal'.

Directed by Elred Kumar, one of the producers of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' and 'Ko', Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal with Atharva and Amala Paul in the lead roles will have Zaved, who was a part of Hollywood films like 'Hangover 2', playing the baddie.

"Atharva finds the love of his life in Amala Paul and even as things are going smooth, an unexpected event changes everything. The young actor is working out for a six pack abs for Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal," says the director.

"Atharva and Amala Paul are good colleagues and the chemistry between them is great. This is all that I can say," stated the director dismissing all rumors that the actors have become real lovers working together in this film.

By now we all know that veteran director Bharathiraja is back in the village atmosphere, doing what he does best!

Bharathiraja is all set to begin his ambitious project Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum with actor Parthiban playing the lead role.

The film will have two leading ladies with one being Priyamani and Parvathy (of Poo fame) as another. However the latest buzz is that Priyamani has opted out of the project due to date hassles and newcomer Iniya (who made a dream debut in Vaagai Sooda Vaa) has been roped to play the lead.

Set in Madurai, Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum is a period film which runs through four decades: 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The film will have Parthiban in a dual role with different get ups.

The director has also roped in young composer G.V. Prakash as the music director for the project. Since music plays an important role and has to reflect the respective periods.

G.V. Prakash is currently doing research on the kind of folk rural music in these four decades.

Interestingly, G.V. Prakash's uncle A.R. Rahman teamed up with the veteran director for Kizhakku Cheemayilae in 1993.

Actor Nani of 'Veppam' fame will now be seen in another Tamil film 'Naan Ee'.

The film directed by S.S. Rajamouli is a socio-fantasy comedy entertainer and is Rajamouli's first film to be released simultaneously in two languages.

'Naan Ee' is the title of the Tamil version of the Telugu flick 'Eega' that is taking shape at a fast pace. It is a live action graphical film and has an animated character ‘House Fly’ in the title role. While actor Nani of ‘Veppam’ is the protagonist with Kannada actor Sudeep playing the antagonist.

The story of the film is about its hero who is reborn as Eega (fly) after being killed by the Villain. Eega happens to remember what happened in it’s last birth and the rest of the story is about Eega’s indomitable effort to irritate villain and take revenge on him.

Eega is an experimental film with mainstream emotions and financial viability.

After making a decent debut in 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', in which her performance was lauded by the critics, young actress Iniya is now a part of one more promising film - 'Mounaguru' starring Arulnidhi in the lead role.

"I faced enormous difficulties during the shoot of Vaagai Sooda Vaa, as we had to work under the hot sun for 45 days. But the appreciations I have been receiving post the film's release have made me forget all those things. Thanks to director Sargunam," said Iniya.

Iniya says "I am not ready to accept all the projects that come my way. I will be as choosy as possible, as I would like to retain the good name that Vaagai Sooda Vaa had gifted me," and added that "Mounaguru is one such offer which is interesting and performance oriented."

Directed by Sharath, the film will have music by Thaman.

"It is a unique storyline in which Iniya plays a medical student. Arulnidhi's role will come with a lot of surprises and it will be a different treat to the audience," said the source.

Goutham Menon is very busy shooting Jiiva and Samantha for Neethaane En Ponvasantham.

"I have a passion for Ilayaraja’s songs. I borrowed the famous line from one of his songs," Said Gowtham.

The movie went to floors recently and the shoot is on in and around Chennai.

Gowtham said "Jiiva expressed his desire to work with me and I was waiting for a right script. Eventually 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham' happened," and added "I would describe Jiiva as a friendly and co-operative star. He is a director’s actor and does what a filmmaker wants."

Interestingly Goutham is also directing Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson for Ek Deewana Tha, the Hindi remake of Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya.

While Trisha is to start shooting alongside Vishal for Samaran, the actress was signed for her next big project in Tollywood with none other than Junior NTR, one of the leading heroes in Tollywood.

According to the source, Trisha has a bagged the role in Dhammu to be paired up with Jr. NTR for the first time. It is reported that the role offered to Trisha is on par with that of the hero’s and the actress is very happy to have signed on the dotted line.

The Dhammu team's frantic search for a leading lady started after Shruti Haasan, who was reportedly offered the lead role, walked out at the last moment following a Bollywood offer to star opposite Aamir Khan.

Interestingly, it was a buzz that actress Kajal Aggarwal would be starring opposite Jr. NTR until it was finally decided that Trisha would be more apt for the role.

The shooting for this film is said to have started at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad as the heroine has also given her assent.

The other actress who will be sharing screen space with Jr NTR and Trisha in this flick is Karthika, who is yet to sign on any Tamil film post Ko.

Radha is apparently the brains behind daughter Karthika's smart career moves.

All thanks to Karthika's mother actress Radha that the daughter had dream launches both in Telugu and Tamil with super hits, Josh and Ko respectively.

The latest buzz was that Radha wanted to launch her second daughter Thulasi as well.

It was reported that Thulasi would be making her debut with Karthik's son, Gautam in a Mani Rathnam film.

It will be remembered that Radha herself made her debut with Karthik in Bharathiraja's famous film, Alaigal Oyvathilai. However, Radha has said that the reports were false and that her second daughter is too young to enter films. So for now she will focus on Karthika's career in addition to her hotel business.

Mani Rathnam meanwhile is still searching for a suitable heroine for Gautam.

A piece of disappointment for Rajini fans, the minute long cameo of the real-superhero Rajinikanth aka Chitti of Robot was actually graphically created in the film Ra.One.

Highly placed sources reveal that Shah Rukh’s talented VFX team had already created the replica and imaging of Rajinikanth. But, the South legend’s flashing visit to SRK’s studio in Mumbai was put to life by performing real motion capturing technique.

Motion Capturing (MoCaP) is one of the great new frontiers in the world of movie making and is becoming a crucial tool in complex digital effects.

A source elaborated, “The VFX team of Red Chilies had already created a graphically designed flawlessly looking face of Rajini, after taking textures from Rajini’s Robot sequences. Sensors were put on the face of Rajinikanth and his facial expressions were captured through MoCAP”.

“Rajini was also made to wear Chitti’s attire and walk in and out of the sporty Benz car, his entire body movements especially the facial expressions were captured and real motion was put to his computer generated face and body,” disclosed the sources.

As per sources, in haste to meet up the deadline of release, Rajini’s voice was also recorded on the VFX machine and not in a professional dubbing studio making it sound shabby.

Visual graphic expert revealed, “The entire activity took around a couple of hours, perhaps if Rajini sir would have not made it to Mumbai we would have to use a body double to do the needful”.

Robert Zemeckis has produced three films entirely using MoCap: Polar Express, Beowulf and A Christmas Carol. Peter Jackson, James Cameron, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have also used the technology in their productions.

With the Diwali fever settling down, the month of November is ready with some interesting releases lined up.

According to trade sources, Dhanush and Selvaraghavan’s Mayakkam Enna is scheduled for a 11-11-11 release and Silambarasan starrer Osthi will hit the marquee the following week on 18th November 2011 with Samuthirakani directed, Sasi Kumar starrer Poraali making to the public eye on 25th November 2011.

With Mayakkam Enna and Osthi slated for release a week away from another, fan's expect that the two films may clash at the box office.

She has just signed her first film and the movie is yet to go on floors, but it seems Kingfisher girl Esha Gupta has set the ball rolling for herself as she might replace Jacqueline Fernandez in Krrish 2. Ooh! The newbie might step in to do the role which no other actress is agreeing to do.

The problem of second lead in Krrish 2 is yet to be solved! First it was Kangana Ranaut who was approached for the role, followed by Sonakshi Sinha, but it was Chitrangada Singh who finally agreed to do the film. But due to some dates issues the actress bowed out. Then Jacqueline Fernandez came to the scene. But as per reports, Jackie wasn’t so happy with the role offered to her, and her beau Sajid Khan also thought the same way.

Now, as neither Chitrangada nor Jacqueline is willing to be part of Krrish 2, the makers have set their eyes on the hottest new starlet on the block, and she is Esha Gupta. The dusky bombshell who is also known as desi Angelina Jolie, has created ripples in the modeling world and now she might do the same in Bollywood too.

Though 7 Aum Arivu has been receiving mixed reactions from critics, director A R Murugadoss, producer Udhayanidhi Stalin and actor Suriya are flying high for they have won the admiration of Super Star Rajnikanth.

On Wednesday, a special screening of the movie was organised for Rajnikanth in Chennai.

Impressed watching the movie, Rajnikanth had reportedly appreciated Suriya for playing the lead roles well.

Rajnikanth said Suriya has put up an excellent performance. Udhayanidhi Stalin too has tweeted that Rajnikanth’s appreciation has made him happy.

Kamal Haasan is a proud papa and despite his hectic schedule for Viswaroopam, he managed to catch a special screening of 7am Arivu.

The film directed by A R Murugadoss opened to huge crowd across Tamilnadu on the Diwali day.

Kamal had nothing but good things to say about the film and not surprisingly he loved his daughter Shruti in it.

Shruti has done a good job and 7am Arivu undoubtedly proves to be an ideal debut for her in Tamil, said Kamal.

"I couldn’t meet him personally after he saw the movie because I was busy with promotional activities. But I called him up and he gave his views over the phone. He felt that it was an extraordinary movie," added Udhayanidhi.

Kamal Haasan quickly left after the screening avoiding public appearance as his look for Viswaroopam is urged to be a top secret!

The climax scene of the movie was finally filmed with STR taking off his shirt displaying his six pack abs that vaunted as a result STR's dedication and hardwork hitting the gym regularly.

The trailer of Osthi was released this Diwali and the music has also been launched. Both have been well received and Osthi and STR seem ready to rock this November.

After the roaring heat generated by Ashmit Patel and Veena Malik on Bigg Boss last year, romance was definitely a missing link this season. But now that too, is about to become a thing of the past.

While India’s biggest House of Scandal continues to buzz with mind-boggling activity including daily catfights, Miss India International Shonali Nagrani and Wild Card entry Siddharth Bhardwaj have begun coochie-cooing like lovebirds on the reality show.

The latest episode caught the couple in the bedroom, exchanging sweet-nothings under the observance of night cameras, with Siddharth consoling and hugging Shonali and kissing her hand, while the girl seemed to reciprocate his every move.

“Siddharth has earlier won the reality show MTV Splitsvilla and knows how to play things up. If all goes well, we should have the first full-blown romance of this season on Bigg Boss in a few days,” says celebrity publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who is a specialist with reality shows, having handled the PR for some of the most popular contestants including Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel (Bigg Boss).

When asked if Siddharth and Shonali are doing this for TRP’s, Dale remarks, “It doesn’t matter much, as long as they are providing the entertainment. Bigg Boss is a game and however much one thinks of it affecting society, one should not forget that all the Housemates know very well that they are wearing mikes around them and are surrounded by cameras 24x7. They have all gone on the show with personal agendas and roles to portray. They have all gone on it to play and win.”

After being humiliated by most Housemates in the last few days of his stay in the Bigg Boss House, ‘Aaoo’ man Shakti Kapoor, who had entered the House with 12 ladies amid much fanfare and widespread speculation, faced defeat this week, as he lost out in votes to lesser known names like Mahek Chahal, Pooja Bedi and Shradha Sharma.

Shakti had entered the House performing to the number Bachna Ae Haseeno Lo Main Aa Gaya, but by the time he left, he was the one who seemed to need all the ‘saving’.

While the actor was said to have entered the reality show to rectify his image spoilt by the sting operation that India TV had carried on him a few years ago, he seems to have returned from Bigg Boss with his image marred further.

Some also link his eviction to his earlier spat with the show’s co-host Salman Khan, which Shakti also indirectly discussed with another contestant on the show.

The Bollywood villain was not only seen playing politics with the Housemates, but also received flack when he slapped Miss Afghanistan Vida Samadzai’s butt on the show. Vida, who had become his good friend in the initial days, deserted him as she felt he was indulging in bitching and back-biting.

Shakti’s many other ways with the ladies on the show were abhorred, and now the actor is left with a more tarnished image than ever before.

Celebrity publicist and Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar remarked, “What hit Shaktiji worst on the show was his long-time friend Pooja Bedi, repeatedly pointing out that he was not behaving like a gentleman, a good father, husband and family man. I guess, that negative branding hurt him the most,” adds Dale, sympathizing with the actor.

He analyses, “This situation was accelerated by the fact that while Shaktiji was being alienated by many Housemates and battled the onslaughts alone, he had absolutely no back-up support in terms of a PR machinery or management team outside the House, which could have done much to either justify his actions with his image, or at least dilute the negative impact, by portraying his actions in lighter vein. This was a big factor that went against him for garnering votes,” rues the PR expert.

With Vettai’s release date set for December 23rd, the team is racing against time to finish off the shooting.

After the Diwali break, the unit assembled in Karaikudi to shoot the remaining portions before beginning the post-production work.

Lingusamy, the director of Vettai and the rest of the team members are currently stationed in Karaikudi, confirms the film's producer UTV Motion Pictures’ Dhananjayan.

Vettai is a multi-lingual film starring Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul and others. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for this film.

Trisha is unhappy over reports that she is to play Tollywood star Mahesh Babu’s sister-in-law in a Telugu film.

In the film industry, it is well known that the sister-in-law and sister roles are considered to be offered to heroines who do not have opportunities.

Trisha says that she is not in such a position as she has several good offers in her kitty at the moment.

The heroine is currently busy with the Tamil film Samaran, in which she is paired opposite Vishal. The actress adds that Samaran has a good role for her and it is equal to that of the lead star Vishal.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, unveiled her wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum in Blackpool, Britain, this Thursday.

"It is an honour and a privilege for me to have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and even more so to launch a global Bollywood exhibition. This is a moment of pride for the Indian cinema," Kareena said in a statement.

It took four months to create the wax statue, which cost 150,000 pounds.

"The figure looks incredible and is so life-like. I had to do a double take when I saw myself - they have really done a superb job at capturing my essence," she added.

The unveiling of Kareena's wax figure also flagged off a global exhibition, where the statues of Bollywood stars will be taken to six major cities around the world to be exhibited, before they are brought back to Blackpool in January next year.

Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai too have their wax figures in Tussauds'.

After being nominated, Shraddha Sharma has fought with almost everyone in the house. Meanwhile, Pooja Misrra had taken a backseat and was enjoying the show, but she is back with a bang now.

Lately Bigg Boss divided the housemates into two team and asked them to make 500 candles each. The team who finishes the task first will enjoy the luxury budget. Siddharth Bhardwaj and Amar Upadhyay are the captains of the two teams. Poor Sid is stuck with loud characters like Laxmi Narayan, Shraddha Sharma and Pooja Misrra in his team.

After working for entire night, Sid went up to Misrra to wake her up. While she was still half asleep, Misrra and Sid bumped into each other. Soon after Sid and Misrra were seen abusing each other at the top of their voices.

Though Pooja Bedi tried to pacify both, but the idea didn’t work. Surprisingly Misrra and Shraddha were seen boding after this huge fight. Nomination and fear of elimination are the biggest players inside Bigg Boss house. Last week we saw Mahek Chahal getting friendly with Misrra after being nominated.

This week Shraddha Sharma, Shakti Kapoor, Pooja Bedi and Mahek Chahal have been nominated for eviction.

The Mean Girls actress was reportedly offered close to $1 million to pose for Playboy, and the photographs - which were taken at a Los Angeles mansion last weekend - are said to show the star completely naked.

The pictures are said to leave little to the imagination. Lindsay, however, maintains that the photographs were done "tastefully".

It is not yet known if she will be a cover star for the legendary magazine, which has previously had La Toya Jackson and Pamela Anderson pose for it.

Meanwhile, Lindsay has been offered $1 million from s#x toy company FleshLight to make a mould out of her private parts for a new product.

Although she has not yet seen the offer, sources close to her claim that she is not likely to accept.

The source said, "She would never accept such an offer for any amount of money."

Rajini’s is back to acting.

Interestingly it is not with a Tamil film but a Hindi film.

Rajini after the illness struck has been resting silently for the past several months. Now he has done a cameo role in ‘Ra.One’, Shah Rukh Khan most ambitous film.

RA.One was dubbed and released in Tamil as well on Diwali day.

Though Rajni's presence is only for a short time, it seemed enough for the fans to celebrate and enjoy, as it ensured that all is well with Rajini.

“We were very much worried about the health condition of Rajini though it was repeatedly said that he is fine. Only now we are happy to watch him on screen. He has given a rocking performance once again,” said Rajini Anbu - one of Rajni's biggest fans.

The scene for Rajini was created by Shah Rukh Khan and director Anubhav Sinha to pay tribute to Rajini and his legendary character Chitti the Robot.

Ra.One was produced by SRK's Red Chillies entertainment and Eros international.

Finally Simbhu is ready to rip off his shirt for Osthi having developed a six pack abs after strenuous work-out in the gym for over a month.

‘I am ready and raring to go. My six-pack abs is ready for the climax,’ says Simbhu.

The climax of Osthi, a action sequence between Simbhu and Sonu Sood will be shot in Chennai.

Osthi is a remake of the Hindi hit Dabbang with Simbhu playing Osthi Velan, a role enacted by Salman Khan in the original. Richa Gangopadhyaya plays his heroine.

Directed by Dharai, the movie has music composed by S Thaman.

Rakhi Sawant feels that the censor board isn't fair to her.

The item girl is particulary ticked off that they have bleeped the word 'choos le' from a song in her next film Loot.

Rakhi feels that while they have been strict towards her, the members have passed off a song titled Jhak maar ke picturised on John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in Desi Boyz.

Rakhi says, "I don't know why they found the words 'choos le' so offensive that they had to bleep it. In fact, Jhak maar ke is a vulgar phrase but the censors have allowed it to pass because the film has big stars in it!"

Rakhi adds that John's dance steps in the song too are in bad taste. "He's making a particularly distasteful action with his hand. I have no such thing in my song." We wonder if the censors will give her another chance?

If there is one thing that the Bigg Boss house has in abundance this year, it’s women! The actor, along with singer Mohit Chauhan, will be visiting the sets of Bigg Boss 5 – Aapka Farman to promote his upcoming movie Rockstar.

While it is still not confirmed if the actor will enter the house and speak to the contestants in person, we have heard that Ranbir is very keen to have a conversation with the ladies – especially so because they are ‘trapped’ in the house with a handful of men.

Ladies Man, Ranbir has, in fact, even managed to convince Mohit to try to convince Sanjay Dutt so that they can get a glimpse of the women inside the house.

Will Sanjay Dutt give in and give Ranbir Kapoor a chance to chat up the ladies?

After Wanted, actor Prakash Raj will be seen with Salman Khan once again. He will play the main villain in Dabangg 2, says actor-producer Arbaaz Khan.

"The extremely talented actor Prakash Raj is the main villian of Dabangg 2," Arbaaz posted on his Twitter page recently.

The southern actor-filmmaker is excited about the new role.

"Just heard the narration of Dabangg 2. Arbaaz has a sureshot winner on hand. Happy and excited to join Salman bhai once again. Cheers!!!" Prakash Raj tweeted.

This has put a question mark on actor Sonu Sood's role in Dabangg 2, the sequel to the 2010 action blockbuster Dabangg.

Sonu played Chaddi Singh, the bad man in the original movie. But if Prakash Raj will play the "main villain" in the sequel, one wonders what will happen to Sonu.

But Sonu, who is repeating his villainous act in Osthi Tamil remake of the film, tweeted: "@arbaazSkhan is a fab guy, I know he will make a great film. I will always be there with him may be not as an actor this time but as a brother."

However, what will be retained in the sequel is the pairing of Salman and Sonakshi Sinha.

Dabangg 2 will release in December 2012.

Following the smashing reception to Velayudham following his super successful Pongal release Kaavalan, Vijay is cresting the wave of box office triumph.

Vijay also has some very interesting projects in hand for the future.

Nanban is likely to be Vijay's next release and the actor is also set to do a film with Gautham Menon titled Yohan Adhyayam Ondru. The film is still in its discussion stages and is red hot even before the filming has begun.

Yohan is touted to be on an espionage thriller on the likes of James Bond with a License to Kill. The film will follow the adventures as Yohan takes off across the globe to track down international criminals over a period of two months.

Osthi directed by Dharani was supposed to release in time for Diwali.

Unfortunate for STR that he had to disappoint his fans and make them wait for the film as it was not ready on time. But we still get a slice of Silambarasan this Diwali as the theatrical trailer of Osthi will be released.

STR, Richa Gangopadhyay, and Sonu Sood are the main leads in the film.

Earlier, promos of three songs were released and the music by Thaman has become quite the rage. So before the big release, hopefully in November, the fans will get a taste of things to come with the trailer.

Shweta Menon who was last seen in Naan Avan Illai 2 will be returning to Tamil screens with Aravaan directed by Vasanthabalan.

Shweta will be starring alongside Aadhi, Pasupathi, Kabir Bedi, Bharath, Dhansika, and Anjali.

The actress who got hitched earlier this year is upbeat about her role.

Shweta plays a prostitute in the film but clarifies that there will be no sleaziness involved as the director has shot everything in an aesthetic manner.

Arjun is looking forward to his film Kattupuli to be directed by Bollywood stunt master, Tinu Verma.

Arjun said "I play a doctor who is part of a team that heads into the forest on a secret mission. Their adventures in the forest forms the rest of the plot," and added that it was very exciting to shoot in the Thalakottam forest.

Kattupuli stars Action King Arjun with Rajneesh, Sayali Bhagat, Anaya and Biyanca Desai forming the rest of the cast. The film will also be released in Telugu and Hindi. The music was released recently and Arjun says that a major promotional campaign is underway to make sure the film reaches the target audience.

Priyamani has been through hell for the past couple of months apparently being harassed by a phone - stalker.

An anonymous male had been calling the actress constantly and using vulgar language and suggestive innuendo. He was also peppering her with offensive text messages.

The actress tried to ignore the calls and text messages but her stalker would not leave her alone. She had even changed her number three times but the misreant managed to find out the new numbers and continued to be a disturbance. The family and friends, who were concerned with Priyamani starting to wilt under the strain were forced to have this reported.

The cops were soon able to track down the phone-stalker and have arrested him relieving Priyamani to wear a smile again.

In a recent interview, Asin said that she wants to be like Aishwarya Rai.

Asin says that Aishwarya as an actress has always been one of the frontrunners, despite being in the race for so long.

"Aishwarya Rai is a pan - Indian actress who has done films in Tamil, Hindi, and Bengali. In addition to this she is an international brand ambassador and has also acted in Hollywood projects with some of the biggest names in the business," added Asin.

Asin says that she herself is also aiming to achieve same things at the national as well as the international level.

So does that mean Asin will be hopping onto the Hollywood bandwagon soon?

Suriya is a true director’s actor.

Suriya's performances so far has proved that he is keen to go to any stretch to achieve what his director has in mind. Pithamagan, Nandha, Ghajini, are just a few examples of his hard work.

In 7aum Arivu, Suriya is said to have done some mind-boggling stunts and he did not opt for a dupe.

Suriya is so eager to perform his own stunts that he does not prefer for dupes even though he has the option to use one.

The star takes risks willingly and he is happy to see the fans enjoy the outcome on the silver screen. His films’ run at the box-office prove that it’s well worth the risk.

Singer Raageshwari Loomba became the latest contestant to get evicted from the fifth season of reality show "Bigg Boss".

Raageshwari was nominated for elimination along with Pooja Missra, Amar Upadhyay, Mahek Chahal, Juhi Parmar and Shonali Nagrani.

The singer, who was quite popular among the contestants and stayed away from controversies, was nominated by Bigg Boss after she failed to complete her secret task, where she had to spy on the other inmates.

"Bigg Boss 5", which started Oct 2, has celebrity participants locked inside an isolated house without any communication with the outside world.

Riding high on the rave reviews she got for her performance in Prabhu Deva’s film Vedi, actor Sameera Reddy is now ready to shift her focus back to Bollywood and on her next big release, Priyadarshan’s Tezz.

“Ajay is coming from a super-hit film Singham and I think the producers know what they are doing. There is place for everybody, so it really doesn’t matter against whom you are pitted. Obviously you don’t want to go up against a big film, but I know that Tezz has its own appeal,” said Sameera.

Talking about all the action scenes she had to shoot Sameera exclaims, “It was really nerve-wracking. I had to learn how to ride a bike, river-rafting, it was physically challenging. But it all works out when your co-stars are fun to work with.”

Though the film is set to release alongside the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Agneepath in January, Sameera’s positive that her film will give Agneepath a run for its money.

Sameera has been doing a lot of films down South of late. “They are more loyal in South, unlike in Bollywood, where one day you are the best, but the next day everything changes. If you see the likes of Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan — whether their films work or don’t, nothing changes in terms of popularity and fan following. Furthermore they are extremely punctual, if they ask for 30 days of your time, they will finish the film exactly within that time period,” she explains. “Having said that I got my first break in Bollywood, so it will always remain close to my heart.”

With Salman Khan returning to co-host the Aapka Farmaan episode of Bigg Boss with Sanjay Dutt, it would be interesting to see, if his 'good friend' Mahek Chahal can get away with her new-found arrogance on the reality show.

Ever since her nomination this week, Salman's girl has been unnecessarily fighting and arguing with most contestants in the House. This week, she dramatically attacked new Housemate Siddharth Bhardwaj over petty issues and patched up with him later.

"Whether it is her ego or insecurity, Mahek is surely being unreasonable and coming across as artificial; just like Pooja Bedi. She may be doing all this to save herself from the eviction. But she needn't worry about that when she has Salman Khan's influential hand over her," says a source.

Some time ago, it came to be known that the Norway-based Mahek is special to Salman. It was revealed that the superstar not only recommended her name for his earlier films Wanted and Main Aur Mrs. Khanna, but also for Bigg Boss.

According to reports, when Mahek got a call from the makers of Bigg Boss, she had already packed her bags and readied herself for the show, assuming that no one could ever refuse Salman's recommendation. She was right!

Now, whether Mahek is getting too big for her boots is not as important as the bigger question: Can the Salman connection save her from eviction? The other five Housemates nominated this week include Pooja Misrra, Raageshwari, Juhi Parmar, Amar Upadhyay and Shonali Nagrani, while Pooja Bedi, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Shradha Sharma, Mandeep Bevli, Vida Samadzai and Shakti Kapoor are safe for the time being.

After Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Mahajan and Ratan Rajput, speculation is rife that Pakistani import Veena Malik will scout for a life partner in Season 4 of Swayamvar.

Mika, Raja Chaudhary and Rakhi Sawant were other probable contenders for the forthcoming season.

Shweta Tiwari's estranged husband Raja Chaudhary and Mika had approached the channel and so did Rakhi Sawant to be a part of Swayamvar season 4.

Rakhi Sawant, who got engaged to Elesh Parujanwala on national television with the 1st season of Swayamwar, didn't get married and wanted another chance to find herself a husband after her experience with Elesh. She also told the channel that she would want to run a background check on the candidates and has even agreed to sign a pre-nuptial agreement with the groom and a contract to ensure she would get married this time.

Probably Veena's popularity in the country from her appearance in Color's controversial reality show Bigg Boss worked in her favour.

"Finally, the channel decided on Veena."

Will Veena, who is rumoured to be dating Ashmit Patel, really tie the knot? Wait and watch!

As the week draws to a close, Bigg Boss fans can't help but wonder, who will be evicted this week.

Changing the norm of putting up two contestants for eviction every week, this week the show has nominated six Housemates namely Juhi Parmar, Raageshwari, Shonali Nagrani, Amar Upadhyay, Mahek Chahal and Pooja Misrra (the latter being nominated for the third consecutive week).

"Since Bigg Boss is India's biggest reality show, people speculate with abated breath to see who goes out every week and who gets to survive. This week too, the anticipation is high," says celebrity publicist and Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar, who has handled the media for maximum number of reality show contestants like Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel (Bigg Boss) among many others.

Hesitant to come up with a probable name, when we push Dale for his personal opinion, he says, "Knowing, studying and understanding the show from years, I'd pick Raageshwari. Though she is a fabulous person, I feel she hasn't been able to meet the requisites a scandalous show like this demands. This makes her the weakest link at the moment, very likely to be evicted."

"Plus, if Raageshwari goes, there'll be more drama as her 'best friend' Pooja Bedi will be terribly upset that her closest pal left instead of her 'target' Pooja Misrra," added Dale.

Now, Dale has rarely gone wrong in his judgment, so let's see if he has his hand on the pulse this time too. It sure is an interesting wait-and-watch game.

The return of the item girl!

Rakhi Sawant looks smokin’ hot as she gyrates to the tune of Jawani Ki Bank Loot Le from the upcoming film Loot.

Guess who wields the microphone for Rakhi?

It is none other than the famous Munni Badnaam Hui singer Mamta Sharma.

Loot lo! It was during the shoot of this song when Rakhi Sawant claimed that she is ‘Chammak Challo’ and not Kareena Kapoor.

In an unabashed manner Rakhi spoke about the item song Jawani Ki Bank Loot Le in the film ‘Loot’, and also made some controversial statements against Bollywood actresses and Shahrukh Khan.

Rakhi says that she came to the industry for being an item girl but is very angry with the actresses who are doing item songs.

Speaking about the song, Rakhi says that it’s a track where all the heroes come to watch her dancing and get looted by her. Rakhi has shown terrific dance moves in the song, and is thrilled to be a part of it.

The song also features Govinda and Sunil Shetty along with Javed Jaffrey and Mimoh Chakraborty.

Have a look at Rakhi Sawant doing what she is best at - dirty dancing!

It is a common trend to see that two well known heroines working in the same film end up having a cat fight or a cold war.

Well, something of this sort has been reportedly happening between the pout lipped beauty Priyanka Chopra and the sexy hip beauty Ileana on the sets of Barfee.

Grapevine is strong that both have not been gelling that well. However, this was quashed as a rumour by Priyanka Chopra's sources and they maintain that she is totally into her role that's why she is keeping to herself.

Firecracker Rakhi Sawant is cracking up over a forced wardrobe malfunction.

Apparently, some freelance photographers at a promotional event of her forthcoming film Loot, clicked some compromising shots of Rakhi and passed them off on websites as a wardrobe malfunction.

The pictures showing Rakhi posing on a big purple chair wearing a bright red dress have a glimpse of her panties.

"On spotting Rakhi wearing a short dress, the photographers seemed to have had a gala time clicking her from lower angles. Rakhi is a bit angry but more amused that people are calling this a wardrobe malfunction," remarked her publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

"Why all this zabardasti ka hungama? Main toh waise hi itni hot hoon. What was the need to do something as creepy as this," questioned Rakhi in her trademark style, seeing the pictures termed as 'Rakhi Sawant's first wardrobe malfunction' on the Internet.

Music maestro A.R. Rahman has added another prestigious trophy to his shelf -- the public choice award for "If I Rise" from "127 Hours" at the World Soundtrack Awards 2011 at Ghent, Belgium.

"Thanks to my fans and the World Soundtrack Academy for the Public Choice award for the score of '127 Hours'," posted Rahman on his Facebook page.

The World Soundtrack Academy Saturday announced the 2011 winners at the closing of the 38th Ghent International Film Festival.

The two-time Oscar winner was competing in the best original song written directly for the same track category, but lost out to Randy Newman, who took home the trophy for "We belong together" from "Toy Story 3".

"127 Hours", directed by Danny Boyle, was based on mountaineer Aron Ralston and his real life story about how he chopped his hand to save himself after a boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah.
