STR has been surprised by the sudden constant reports in the media about Manmadhan 2 and that he is working with Anirudh Ravichander in this movie.

The actor has clarified that he has to first complete the script of this sequel before anything else is officially confirmed. He has even requested his media friends to leave Manmadhan 2 aside for the time being.

As of now, STR is super busy with films like Podaa Podi and Vaalu. Vettai Mannan would be resumed after the completion of these films.

There are reports that Podaa Podi would be STR's first release. Gemini Film Circuit is distributing this movie that launches Varalakshmi Sarathkumar opposite STR. The recent single track and teaser of this flick has pleased STR fans and his toned look has won him extra brownie points.

The best of buddies, Arya and Vishal had a great outing together in Bala’s Avan Ivan.

We now hear that the duo is getting back together.

Arya is likely to do a cameo in Madha Gaja Raja aka MGR starring Vishal in the lead. The actor who currently has Irandam Ulagam and Vishnuvardhan's untitled film in hand, didn’t think a bit in giving his nod to do the cameo for his friend, say reports.

MGR also stars Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, Anjali, Santhanam, Sadagopan Ramesh, Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood in important roles.

Richard Nathan is helming the camera for this film directed by Sundar C after the success of Kalakalappu (2012). Vijay Antony is composing the music for the film and actor Sada has been roped to perform for an item number in the film.

A teaser of the Love Panlaama Vaenamma song from the STR and Varalakshmi starrer, Poda Podi was released yesterday.


The teaser features STR in trendy costumes and rapping to a very catchy tune. The lyrics and dance moves also in true STR style make one sit up and take notice.

Fans are loving his look and amazing footwork in this hummable number and have been showering him with praise via social networking and microblogging sites.

The actor has also been receiving compliments for his ripped body. The gym time he has put in appears to have paid off.

Celebs like Venkat Prabhu and Premgi also appreciated the teaser effusively. STR thanked them and his fans as well for the overwhelming response.

STR is feeling upbeat about his film Poda Podi with Varalakshmi Sarathkumar.

The team recently filmed a song in Disneyland, Hong Kong and apparently it has turned out great. A big plus for STR was the presence of his beloved nephew, Samarth in the song. The tiny tot plays his son in the film.

As far as STR is concerned, Samarth made the experience truly special. The song that was filmed was a father and son song and is called Paapa. STR praised Dharan and Vaali for the tune and lyrics.

STR said that the lyrics go like this, "Paapa naan irukken pa, motheravum irrupen pa, Yepavumey nandhan pa unn firstu friend pa unn bestu friendu pa".

STR himself has sung the song and he said that it is his favorite in the album and hopes that his fans love Samarth and the track as much as he does.

With her Poda Podi taking forever for completion, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar seems to have realised that it's not prudent to pin her hopes on that movie if she wants to make a career in films.

If speculations are to be believed, Varalakshmi has recently completed a photo shoot with Naga Chaitanya for a Telugu movie titled Gauravam.

Gauravam is a bilingual and will be directed by Radha Mohan of Abhiyum Naanum fame.

The movie will be produced by Chaitanya’s dad Nagarjuna for their home production Annapoorna Studios banner.

The latest buzz doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Vishal has found his soul mate in none other than Sarath Kumar's daughter, Varalaxmi.

Sources say that the two have apparently been seeing each other for the last six months and that Vishal's father is allegedly not too pleased about this liaison.

According to an industry source, the relationship had reached a point recently where there was even discussion of marriage and Vishal confided in his father, producer G K Reddy. It seems Vishal's father was not happy with this development and the two weren't on the best of terms for a while. "Vishal's father was not pleased that he wanted to marry Sarath Kumar's daughter after the two had a fallout. Post this argument with his father, Vishal was not going home for a while. He was staying at a house he has bought in a posh locality and would would sometimes sleep in the office too," said the source.

The once-close family friends, Sarath Kumar and G K Reddy, have worked together on several films. "The last film that G K Reddy produced and Sarath Kumar starred in was I love India. This film ran into losses and it looks like their relationship also soured," added the source.

When we contacted Vishal, he said, "No, I'm not seeing Varalaxmi or anyone else. It might sound cliched, but we're just good friends and we hang out together with the same gang of friends. I've known her for the past 20 years. We go out for dinners and catch movies with the same group of friends, which is perhaps the reason for people talking about us."

He added, "I'm very much single. I would be more than happy to disclose my girlfriend's identity, when I have one. But now, there's no girl in my life."
