There have been gossips spreading like wild fire about Trisha's supposed closeness with Telugu actor Rana Daggubati.

But the gorgeous actor has denied these emphatically revealing Rana to be her good friend who has been close to her family for the past 10 years.

Trisha reiterated that she won't go behind marriage and as and when she meets the right person, she would accede to it.

The actor who was recently honored for completing a decade in cinema is currently busy with three movies and is also nearing a major landmark of 50 films.

Ace director, Ram Gopal Varma has gone on record to say that an item song in his film Department, is inspired from Rajinikanth's Aasai Nooruvagai number from the film Adutha Varisu.

The Hindi song Dan Dan Cheeni features Rana Dagubatti and Sanjay Dutt dancing with item girl, Nathalia Kaur - an Indo - Brazilian beauty is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.

At RGV's insistence, composers Dharam - Sandeep added a 30 second line from the original to their own composition,

RGV said that the Aasai Nooruvagai song is one of his favorites and Dan Dan Cheeni is his way of paying tribute to it.

Rana Daggubati, who made his Bollywood debut with 'Dum Maaro Dum' has landed his first international project.

The film to be produced by Guru Films Hyderabad has been titled 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' and will be directed and co-produced by Aditya Bhattacharya.

The story follows Rana who plays a wealthy young man attempting to break into the real estate market in Los Angeles. His life however, takes a turn for the worse when he gets dragged into the violent underbelly of the city and has to team up with a cop to get it back in order.

Rana who reportedly backed out of his announced Tamil debut with Vetrimaaran's 'Vada Chennai' is now busy with this International Project that is to have leading actors from Hollywood in the cast.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and actor Abhishek Bachchan, who worked together in Naach, Sarkar and Sarkar Raj, will join hands again for the remake of the Telugu film Businessman.

Jagannath has also written and directed the original movie, which starred Mahesh Babu and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles.

Varma is currently working on Department where southern star Rana Daggubati will be seen as a grungy policeman - a role that was earlier reserved for Abhishek Bachchan.

"Finally it's confirmed...me and Puri Jagannath together are making the remake of the blockbuster Telugu hit Businessman with Abhishek Bachchan," Varma tweeted.

Vetri Maaran's Vada Chennai seems to be in news for one reason or other even before it goes on floors.

Latest is that Rana Daggubati, who is supposed to do his Tamil debut, will not after all be in the movie.

According to sources close to the director Rana willingly opted himself out of the project for reasons best known only to the director and him. Rana himself, however, was not available for comment.

Vada Chennai has Silambarasan in the lead and is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies. Andrea Jeremiah and Divya Spandana play the female leads in Vada Chennai.

With Rana having opted out of Vada Chennai, Vetri Maaran and crew are now scouting for another actor to fill in the shoes of the character sketched for the script.

Divya Spandana we hear is the number one contender for a coveted role in Vada Chennai to be directed by Vetri Maaran and starring STR.

Divya Spandana who made her debut in Tamil opposite STR in Kuthu is also known as Ramya and has worked with Vetri Maaran in his first film Polladavan.

When the role was narrated to Divya, she was very excited as she loves the national award winning director's style of film making.

The actress is the reigning Queen of the Kannada film industry and she has made an impact in Tamil with her outings in films like Vaaranam Aayiram and Singam Puli.

Divya is trying to find the dates for Vada Chennai and if all works out an offical announcement will be made soon.

Andrea and Rana Daggubati have already been finalized for key roles in this film.

National-award winning director Vettrimaran has big plans up his sleeves.

The director is now joining the list of filmmakers venturing into production with his maiden production venture to be directed by one of his associates.

"Siddharth is playing the lead role in this film. Durai Senthil Kumar is directing the movie. He was working as an assistant director to Balu Mahendra sir and has worked with me in both my films. It’s the kind of story that I wanted to produce for a long time," said Vettrimaran.

Meanwhile Vettrimaran’s directorial venture Vada Chennai too is ready to go to floors. The movie has STR, Andrea and Telugu actor Rana Daggubati playing crucial roles. Vetrimaran will be conducting a workshop before beginning work on it.

It has been confirmed, finally!

Vetri Maaran's next film has been generating considerable excitement in the industry circles ever since the film was titled Vada Chennai.

"Rana Daggubati, who debuted with 'Leader' and recently made waves in Bollywood with Dum Maaro Dum will appear in a special prominent role while STR stars as the hero of the film," disclosed Vetri Maaran.

"Vada Chennai, as the title indicates would have a story that revolves in and around North Chennai with Silambarasan playing the lead role and Telugu sensation Rana Daggubati sharing the screen space making his first foray into Tamil Cinema," said producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies putting rumors to rest that 'Vada Chennai' is a historical film.

According to the producer, Vetri Maaran is taking some time to finalize the heroine, whose role is as significant of the male lead and is unwilling to reveal any further details about this film.

Word is that Rana Daggubati's role in Vada Chennai will be meaty one and that Andrea Jeremiah had been roped in to play a pivotal role. The other members of the cast are yet to be signed up and the producer has promised an official announcement of that once the crew signs them up.

Vada Chennai is going to roll in March, 2012.

Vetri Maaran is busy with his next movie titled Vada Chennai (North Madras) and guess who is touted to play the lead guy? It is none other than STR!

Sources say that after working with Dhanush for his two films, the National Award winning filmmaker have chosen STR for
Vada Chennai.

Vetri Maaran is happy that he is coming back to his home town once again as the script is set in the backdrop of North Chennai.

Andrea has been confirmed to play as one of the heroines and insiders reveal that Amala Paul has also been approached.

Yet another alluring factor is that Tollywood star Rana Daggupati will make his K’town debut with this movie that is to be produced by Dhyanidhi Alagiri.

It’s official. Bipasha Basu has successfully moved on from her relationship of nine years with actor John Abraham and is enjoying the change. Shutting off all rumours over the new man in her life, she says, “I’ve been in relationships since I was 15. Though I’ve only dated three men in that time,” she admits, adding, “I’m now single for the first time in 17 years.”

But Bipasha, who was dating Dino Morea before John, refuses to commit to how long that status quo will remain.
“I don’t plan. It all depends on whether I find a suitable guy,” she says.

The actor was recently linked to Dum Maaro Dum co-star Rana Daggubatti and Josh Hartnett, who plays her on-screen lover in Singularity.

She admits she didn’t think of settling down even when she was with a man, and has no intention to do so now.

“While I was in a relationship, it was great. Some day, I will settle down with a husband and kids. But I’m not interested right now,” says Bipasha, who is currently shooting for Players in Russia in sub zero temperatures with Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Neil Nitin Mukesh on the Abbas-Mustan remake of The Italian Job (2003).

Bipasha reveals that when she made her film debut in 2001, she had thought of retiring from acting in five years. Today, almost a decade later, she has just finished filming her first Hollywood venture, Roland Joffe’s Singularity, with Josh Hartnett and Abhay Deol among others. She doesn’t know whether her career will change after its release, but she doesn’t want to leave Bollywood.

“If it does well, it will get me a lot of respect from markets that don’t know me. But Bollywood is where I’m going to be. At the same time, Singularity is mammoth,” says Bipasha, who credits filmmaker-friend Heeraz Marfatia, also a creative consultant on the film, with introducing her to Roland informally about a year ago and giving her the big Hollywood break.

“He just told me to meet Roland and when I did, who knew I would land Tulaja Naik’s role? My character drives the entire film. And it’s a love story between Josh and I.”

Singularity is split into two eras, and the period parts have been shot in Australia and Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Over the next few weeks, Josh will film the present day portions.

Bipasha plays a Maratha warrior in the film. Having had her fill of action with Players and Singularity, the actor, plans to announce her next.

“It will be a romantic-comedy,” she says.

Richa GangopadhyaySTR’s sensational film, Vaanam has delivered big time at the box - office and has been declared a hit. The Young Star is very pleased with its success but is not to rest on laurels as usual and is all set to begin work on his remake of Salman Khan’s blockbuster, Dabangg with Dharani at the helm.

The heroine of this flick is Richa Gangopadhyay who has already made it big in the Telugu Film industry having notched up hits with the likes of Venkatesh, Ravi Teja, and Rana Dagubatti. Others in the cast are Jithan Ramesh, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Revathy.

The Pooja will be held on may 9th at the Pillaiyar temple in AVM studios. Salman’s Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, who produced the Hindi version will be present along with other luminaries from the Tamil industry to wish the team a good luck to recreate the same magic.

Abhishek BachchanOne of the most successful associations in the history of Bollywood Box Office - Ram Gopal Varma and the Bacchan’s are no more.

The Duo has worked together in films that turned to be Blockbusters like Sarkar, Sarkar raj, Rann, RGV Ki Aag and Nishabdh.

As reported Abhishek Bacchan was dropped out from RGV’s ongoing project titled 'Department' and the reason behind it was said to be the poor performance of Abhishek in Dum Maro Dum.

Abhishek BachchanThough in the initial stage, Abhishek by himself politely said ‘NO’ to RGV’s project that started rolling last month, by acting promptly the angered first family of Bollywood to the ‘unprofessional attitude’ towards Dum Maro Dum, Amitabh decided not to be a part of RGV's project.

According to the sources “RGV started making uncharitable remarks on Dum Maro Dum and Amitabh Bachchan is no longer interested in working with a filmmaker who has meted out such worst treatment to his son

"Nenu Naa Rakshasi is a film in a different genre. It is a love thriller. It is different from my other films. This is one film that I am indeed proud to be associated with. Both Rana and Ileana have come up with brilliant performances.

The music has already come in for high praise both among the trade circles and the general public.

Anoop's re-recording is first rate. It will definitely be a different experience for the audience," says Puri Jagannath about his upcoming directorial venture, Nenu Naa Rakshasi. The film is set to release April 29th.

Rana, who is playing a role of a Professional Assasin in the film, adds, "Even though I am just three films old, I can confidently say that Nenu Naa Rakshasi is a unique film. Producer Bujji has not compromised on anything in making this entertainer. I feel fortunate to get to work with a talented filmmaker like Puri Jagan so early in my career. I am sure the film will give my career the required boost."

Ileana remarks, "I liked my character in Nenu Naa Rakshasi immensely. I am satisfied with the outcome of the film. It has given me ultimate satisfaction as an actor. Rana has performed his part very well in the film. It is going to be a landmark film in my career."

Nenu Naa Rakshasi has music by Viswa-Rehman, cinematography by Amol Rathod, editing by SR Rajasekhar, art by Chinna, choreography by Raju Sundaram, Pradeep Antony, action by Vijay, Selva and Ganesh. Vijaya Ram Prasad is the co-director.

One of the most handsome men of South film industry Rana Daggubati is in Bollywood now. The boy plays a young musician and gets to romance the hottest Bollywood babe Bipasha Basu in "Dum Maaro Dum".

But more than his films, people seem interested in knowing about his height and search for it on google. So, in Rana’s case we can say the height can kill. The boy is gifted with a great height of 6’3”, and that also makes him the hot favourite among girls because it’s a known fact that girls just love tall guys.

When Rana made his debut with Telugu film Leader, critics heaped praises on him saying that he can even do English movies. Now this debonair man is going places and is said to have signed an English movie too and will be seen next in Telugu film "Nenu Naa Rakshasi" with Ileana. But for now it’s "Dum Maaro Dum" - his first Bollywood film.

Compliments have been flowing in for actor Rana Daggubati, who debuted in Bollywood with Dum Maaro Dum.

However, praises from a megastar has put a smile on Rana's lips. The young heartthrob is on a high after the feedback his first Bollywood film has received. But the actor's happiness and excitement knew no bounds when he got an sms from Amitabh Bachchan praising his acting.

In a recent interview Rana revealed, "I got an sms from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and he said he liked my work in Dum Maaro Dum. He was one of the first people to give the feedback after watching the film. Coming from him, the sms has now become my most priced possession."

Now, who won't be on a high after getting a compliment by the Shahenshah of Bollywood?

Daggubati Rana who made his Bollywood debut with Dum Maaro Dum has now bagged another Hindi flick. Ram Gopal Varma announced that Rana will play one of the leads in his upcoming film 'Department'.

Actually Abhishek Bachchan was supposed to do this role but Rana replaced him due to date problems. “Due to date problems to match combinations wth other actors I am going ahead wth Rana daggubati instead of Abhishek bacchan in Department,” Ram Gopal Varma tweeted in his twitter page.

Rana is seriously looking to extend his business frontiers to Bollywood and this is a boon for him prior to a grand launch with Dum Maaro Dum. Interestingly, Rana was supposed to play Abhishek’s role in DMD. But as Abhishek insisted on playing the cop role, Rana was given DJ Joki’s character.

Directed by Puri Jagannath, Telugu movie Nenu Naa Rakshasi is a romantic thriller starring Rana Daggubati and Ileana D'Cruz.

The film has a chilling yet postive tagline - 'Suicide is not a permanent solution to a temporary problem.'

Rana Daggubati plays a professional killer while Ileana portrays the character of a Rakshasi (female demon).

Though she portrays a Rakshasi, she is charged up about her latest on-screen appearance.

Ileana says that the role of a "Rakshasi" is in accordance with the storyline.

With Telugu actor Rana Daggubati eagrerly looking out for the release of his Bollywood debut ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, the actor has reportedly got a big offer now. If what is heard is true, then Hrithik Roshan will be pitted against Rana in ‘Krrish 2’.

Yes, rumours are that he has been offered to play the villain. With Hrithik Roshan playing the lead role of a super-hero, director Rakesh Roshan was to sign Ajay Devgn for the negative role. As things didn’t work out the producer-director is now likely to rope in Rana Daggubati.

Meanwhile Rana has already gained appreciations from Bollywood filmmakers as they’re very much impressed with his looks and performance in ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ that features him alongside Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar.

"Everything Puri Jagannath does has a purpose. I am called Rakshasi in the film as the story demanded it. Once you see the film you will agree," says Ileana. Her latest film Nenu Naa Rakshasi is due for release and the sizzler seems excited about the whole new concept.

How was it working with Puri Jagan for the second time after Pokiri? "Puri is more of a friend than a director to me. Working with him is a pleasure. He is very focused and he knows what he wants. He is very clear in his vision and has the knack of getting the best out his actors."

She adds, "Puri gave me a brief outline on the film and my role to which I readily agreed. And after seeing the rushes, I am confident that the product has turned out to be good."

Ileana can't stop raving about his co-star. "Rana is born into a film family. So, films are not new to him. Nenu Naa Rakshasi has a good role for Rana. He is a cool guy. Working with him was a brilliant experience."

When asked about her experiences working on Dum Maaro Dum, Bipasha Basu replies, "DMD is a special film for me. Whatever happens to the film I will never forget the experience of working in this film. I had a blast shooting in Goa. I made some good friends. Me, Abhishek, Rana and Prateik, we spent a lot of time together on and off the sets. This is one film I would cherish for a long time. There are a lot of expectations from the film. Hope we will live up to the expectation. I'm sure the film will do well."

Speaking about her role Bips says, "If I like a script, I do it. I went into a trance when the script of DMD was narrated to me. I decided that I should be part of the project, come what may, because this film will remain as a landmark in my career. The name of my character is Jo and she wants to her city evolve. Every character in the movie has it's own significance."

On her co-star Rana, she says, "Rana is not just beautiful but is a good actor as well. I didn't know him much before Dum Maaro Dum but during the film I realized that he is so normal and very humble. He also speaks Hindi fluently. I share a good rapport with him. I'd love to work with Rana again. I'm sure he will help me out with the language."
