According to reports, Anurag Basu's 'Barfi' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra  and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead has gotten into legal trouble.

Mumbai based, Murphy Enterprises are objecting to the use of their name, 'Murphy' in the movie without getting a proper NOC from them for the use of their brand name in the film.

The name of Ranbir's character in the movie is Murphy but when he is asked of his name, he mumbles something that sounds like Barfi, as he is speech challenged.

Murphy Enterprises have complained about the use of their name at various points in the film and in the songs as well. They are planning to take legal action.

The makers of the film have not yet responded to this development.

Ileana D'Cruz is very happy with the warm response that she has received so far for her Bollywood debut 'Barfi!' directed by Anurag Basu.

The hot and sexy actor revealed that she was earlier offered an opportunity to work with Salman Khan in the Prabhu Deva directed 'Wanted  (2009)' which was the Hindi remake of the Telugu film 'Pokkiri (2006)' directed by Puri Jagannadh starring herself and Mahesh Babu in the lead.

"Albeit I was excited to work with Salman, I felt that I was not ready for Bollywood then. So I allowed the opportunity to slip through my fingers," said the goan beauty admitting that she would love to work with Salman if she's offered a chance again.

However, the 'Nanban' heroine was quick to clarify that she had no regrets about refusing the given opportunity to act with Salman Khan and was proud to make her Bollywood debut with 'Barfi!'.

Southern sirens have a track record for doing well in Bollywood.

Vyjayanthimala, Hema Malini and Sridevi are yesteryear heroines who made it big in Bollywood. Recently Asin has joined these ladies with her clever career moves and Taapsee. Kajal Agarwal, Tamannah, Shruthi Haasan and Ileana are other famous actors down South who look promising to make it big in Bollywood.

Ileana, the slender hottie from Goa joins the Bollywood league by making her debut with Barfi featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

The trailer of 'Barfi' is out and Ileana has made an impact already. She has also landed a big project with Shahid Kapoor to be directed by Rajkumar Santhoshi.

Looks like Ileana is all set to give the Bollywood Queen Bees some tough competition!

Okay, so we know that Nargis Fakhri has been confirmed to play Akshay Kumar's heroine in his next film, which he's co-producing with Himesh Reshammiya.

Interestingly, the model who made her debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for the Ashish R. Mohan directed film.

Reportedly, South Indian starlet Ileana D’Cruz was initially confirmed for the part. Seems there’s more buzz about Ranbir and Priyanka Chopra, her co-stars in her upcoming maiden Hindi release.

So turning apprehensive about how she turns out in her Bollywood debut, the makers of the Akshay-Himesh joint production decided to rope in Nargis instead, considering that her film has released… never mind if her performance has been panned.

Kalki Koechlin is finally moving into the commercial movie zone. After Daayan, she has been roped in for Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.

"Yes, I have signed for Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and I am leaving for the shoot tomorrow," said Kalki Koechlin to a tabloid.

'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' is Ayan Mukerji's second film as a director after Wake Up Sid, which was also produced under Dharma Productions and for the first time producer Karan Johar has roped in Pritam to compose music for the film.

As per the reports, 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' will go on floors March 18 in Manali.

Controversy continues to plague Ileana.

After the fiasco over the Jr. NTR film, Shakthi, it is Producer Mohan Natarajan who is furious with the Nanban actress.

According to Producer Mohan Natarajan, he had given Ileana an advance of Rs 50 lakhs for a film with Chiyaan Vikram that later had to be shelved for various reasons. He added that the actress is yet to return the money to him despite the status of the project.

Mohan Natarajan has filed a complaint with the Producers Council and has asked for immediate action to be taken against Ileana, on which the actress has declined to comment.

Ileana is currently busy with a couple of Bollywood projects including one with current sensation, Ranbir Kapoor.

At the Vettai press meet, director Lingusamy said that he is satisfied with the way the film has shaped up and is waiting for the audiences’ reaction.

When asked Lingusamy, if he was planning to remake the film in Hindi, Lingusamy said that he intends to remake 'Vettai' with Salman Khan reprising Madhavan’s role and Ranbir Kapoor in Arya’s character.

Vettai has Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul and others in the star cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music for this film.

What more proof does an actor require of a powerful performance than someone moved to tears?

Imtiaz Ali’s film Rockstar may have drawn mixed responses from critics, but almost everyone agrees that Ranbir Kapoor has delivered a terrific performance in the film.

Well, that seems to be the case with Deepika Padukone.

Buzz is that Deepika Padukone, Ranbir’s ex girlfriend as the world already knows, was in tears while watching Rockstar at a special screening hosted by Ranbir himself at Yashraj over the weekend.

Ranbir really values the opinions of his peers in the industry and therefore held a special screening of the film to which the likes of Deepika, Anushka Sharma and even Katrina Kaif were invited.

Onlookers say that Deepika got so involved in the film that at one point her eyes welled up and she wept.

We don’t know if Ranbir knows about Deepika’s extreme reaction, but if he does he should realize that there’s no compliment bigger than this.

She is sexy, naughty and bold enough to comment on anything or everything. Her parents know that she is a wild child while one of her co-stars recently said that she is a ‘drama queen’. And yet again, Sonam Kapoor, the gal with no-holds-barred attitude, speaks her heart out.

The actress, an astute observer of men, reveals why men love Katrina Kaif! Well, this has nothing to do with how beautiful Katrina is and how sexy she exhibit herself to be.

Sonam Kapoor in an interview with the fashion magazine Vogue India talks about Katrina, Ranbir Kapoor, and how she wants her man to be.

Sonam still maintains that Ranbir Kapoor is not sexy.

“Are girls drooling over him? Really? Ranbir isn’t sexy at all. Ranbir is a mama’s boy, his mother cuts his toenails for him,” said the actress who has adopted a glamorous look for Abbas Mastan's upcoming thriller Players.

Who could believe that Sonam is the same girl who shared a good friendship with Ranbir once! But, it seems those days are passé. In the interview, Sonam also talked about her man and why he is never going to be an actor.

“A person who will take more time than me to get ready. I don’t like primping, preening men.” She also explained why Indian men can never be fashionable enough. Sonam says, Indian men don’t understand fashion, unless they are gay," stated Sonam. This comment might have raised a few eyebrows. Nevertheless, it’s Sonam Kapoor who is speaking, the one who is always at ease with her off-the-cuff remarks.

But Sonam had something nice to say about Katrina Kaif. Sonam says men love mystery and that’s why they like Katrina. “You have to retain the mystery of being a woman. That’s why Katrina Kaif is who she is - a mystery. Men like mystery.”

Do you agree with Sonam?

Did you love Kareena Kapoor's performance as Geet in Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met', we all simply loved her, didn't we? The Director Imtiaz Ali thought the same! Thus, when he came up with the idea of his next project Rockstar, his initial choice of the female lead was Kareena Kapoor! However, since the script of Rockstar required some romantic scenes between the female lead and the lead actor Ranbir Kapoor, he could not rope in Kareena as Ranbir and Bebo are related by blood!

To fit in Kareena, he could not think of casting any other lead actor other than Ranbir coz he felt that it was a tailor made role for him and no one else could have portrayed it to perfection other than Ranbir.

In a recent interview, Ranbir Kapoor admitted that Imtiaz was keen to work with Kareena but since Kareena was his (Ranbir’s) sister, things could not work out! Ranbir even said that he would love to work with Kareena in the future, provided the roles are not romantic ones!

Ranbir got candid and also talked about his granduncle, late Shammi Kapoor. He said that working with Shammi Kapoor was a learning and memorable experience for him and the whole team of Rockstar! Ranbir was also all praises for A.R. Rahman, the music composer of Rockstar.

Rockstar is slated to release on November 11th.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently promoting Rockstar, clears the air about his next venture Barfee, saying it is a romantic-comedy set in 1970s and not a serious film.

"It is not a special character, people are just blowing it out of proportion. The treatment to the character and film is not serious at all. It is a romantic-comedy which has been set in 1970s. My character is very fun-loving (awaara types)," said Ranbir.

The actor plays a deaf and dumb person, Priyanka will be seen as a mentally-challenged girl and Ileana D'Cruz will be seen as a narrator.

Ranbir says "People are perceiving Barfee as a serious film because Anurag Basu is helming it. But he is completely a child at heart and it has been fun working with him teaming up with Priyanka Chopra after Anjaana Anjaani," and added that "Ileana is very fun loving and is professional at the same time. She's amazing and its a treat to work with her."

If there is one thing that the Bigg Boss house has in abundance this year, it’s women! The actor, along with singer Mohit Chauhan, will be visiting the sets of Bigg Boss 5 – Aapka Farman to promote his upcoming movie Rockstar.

While it is still not confirmed if the actor will enter the house and speak to the contestants in person, we have heard that Ranbir is very keen to have a conversation with the ladies – especially so because they are ‘trapped’ in the house with a handful of men.

Ladies Man, Ranbir has, in fact, even managed to convince Mohit to try to convince Sanjay Dutt so that they can get a glimpse of the women inside the house.

Will Sanjay Dutt give in and give Ranbir Kapoor a chance to chat up the ladies?

It is a common trend to see that two well known heroines working in the same film end up having a cat fight or a cold war.

Well, something of this sort has been reportedly happening between the pout lipped beauty Priyanka Chopra and the sexy hip beauty Ileana on the sets of Barfee.

Grapevine is strong that both have not been gelling that well. However, this was quashed as a rumour by Priyanka Chopra's sources and they maintain that she is totally into her role that's why she is keeping to herself.

Bollywood hearthrob Ranbir Kapoor has locked lips with almost all his co-stars and says that filming a kissing scene is like filming an action sequence.

"I do love stories most of the time. Naturally kissing scenes do come up. I don't say 'daalo' (put in) kissing scenes. Moreover, it's too awkward to kiss a girl in front of hundred people on the sets and in front of camera and lights," Ranbir, who had kissing scenes in "Bachna Aae Haseeno", said on India TV's show Aapki Adalat.

"It's too mechanical. For me, a kissing scene is just like an action sequence.

Normally, I finish off the kissing scene in a single take," added the actor who locked lips with Priyanka Chopra in "Anjaana Anjaani".

The actor, who is busy in promoting his upcoming film "Rockstar", however, got conscious when asked about his broken relationship with actress Deepika Padukone.

"I had a relationship with Deepika. She still continues to be my good friend. But the issue on which our relationship broke is a personal matter. It will be very unfair to the girl if I speak about that, because Deepika is single and may marry someone in future," he said.

Meanwhile, the two actors are set to romance on big screen again in Karan Johar's new production "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani".

He stays away from commenting on the matters of heart. But for the first time Ranbir Kapoor admits he has cheated in a relationship. His on-off dalliances with a host of beauties have caused enough trouble for him.

Once a friend of his, who is also a popular actor, said on a chat show that he wishes to gift Ranbir Kapoor a ‘Ways to be Faithful’ book. Now the proverbial Casanova of Bollywood dares to wear his attitude on his sleeve and talks to the film magazine Stardust. In his frank talk, Ranbir confesses to cheating on his partner (who is she?) and denies dating Angela Jonnson, Nargis Fakhri and recently Prerna Goel - the three women with whom he has been linked.

While talking to the magazine, Ranbir also has something to say on Deepika Padukone’s famous ‘condom’ comment made on a chat show. He says: “the next time someone gifts me condoms, I will say thank you for making me aware of safe sex.”

And what he has to say about Sonam Kapoor, who believes he is not sexy? “If Sonam says I am not sexy. She really means it. She is not saying for the effect. If someone feels I am not sexy, my parents should feel sad, not me,” says Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir gets things straight, right!

Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor can’t stop praising his co-star and debutante Nargis Fakhri.

“Nargis is an amazing actor. She is a big boon to our film. We are lucky to have her on board our film,” Ranbir, who was looking like a rockstar in a pair of jeans, green kurta and a jacket, told the reporters.

“I pray that audiences accept Nargis as this is her first film. I request everyone to be kind to her. It feels really nice to know that people are liking our chemistry on screen.”

“Rockstar”, slated for a Nov 11 release, is about a young successful musician and his tryst with love. While Ranbir plays the protagonist, Nargis, who is a half Czech-half Pakistani model, plays his love interest.

The actor visited the Centrestage mall here to unveil the poster of the film “Rockstar” and, as expected, the shopping arena swarmed with people cheering and hooting for the Kapoor scion.

Ranbir, who visited the Hazrat Nizamuddin dargah Monday with director Imtiaz Ali, described it as a spiritual experience.

“It was a very spiritual experience. I think we are lucky enough that Nizamuddin dargah gave us the opportunity to sing with the qawwals and sing the song with them at the dargah itself,” said Ranbir.

Karan Johar's next film to be directed by Ayan Mukherji is titled 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani'. Ayan, who had previously directed 'Wake up Sid' with Ranbir Kapoor has roped in Deepika Padukone to play the lead for this upcoming venture reuniting his team with his 'Wake Up Sid' hero Ranbir Kapoor.

Former couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are all set to romance again re-uniting on screen for Karan Johar's next production to be directed by Ayan Mukherji.

Announcing the news, Karan Johar tweeted:

Deepika and Ranbir were in a much publicised relationship for over a year, which ended in 2009. They have done only one film, Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), together so far.

She is yet to enter Bollywood, but Kingfisher calendar girl Angela Jonsson is already grabbing headlines, whether it is about doing a film with Salman Khan or reports of her dating actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Angela has denied the rumours.

"There is no movie in pipeline with Salman Khan, but I would love to work with him in future. And as soon as I will sign any film you guys will know," Angela, who plans to make a career in Bollywood, told reporters at Blender's Pride Fashion Tour, Friday night.

Rumours were abuzz that actor-producer Sohail Khan is keen to launch Angela in his home production titled "Sher Khan". Angela walked as the showstopper for designer Rocky S wearing a cream gown. The collection was intended to give a "red carpet look" for both men and women.

Angela first came into limelight with her alleged romance with Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir. Asked about her relationship status, she said: "I don't want to comment on Ranbir because whatever is being said is just a rumour."

After much anticipation, Ranbir Kapoor fans now get a sneak peek at Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar, scheduled to release November 11.

Fans have pasted the trailer of the film on blogs and Youtube playlists and everyone's floored! The film also features a last look of Bollywood's original rockstar, the late Shammi Kapoor who passed away on August 14.

The film revolves around Jordan, a budding young musician, who is a little awkward around the edges.

It is only when love starts interfering with his performance, this young rockstar chooses his career over his heart.

Unable to let go, Jordan's plight transforms him into a tortured rocker, haunted by his past. Hardened by his attempt to block his heart, Jordan's successful career soon sees him with complete disregard to the law and society.

With music by AR Rahman and a final performance by the late Shammi Kapoor, movie buffs have much to look forward to.

Here's a peek at the whirlwind life of a Rockstar.

Kannada cinema's teen idol Diganth got a taste of Bollywood's temperamental diva brigade when Prachi Desai, riding high since the success of "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai", opted out of his Hindi debut film at the eleventh hour.

The film, designed as a big romantic musical to give the Kannada heartthrob the right start in Bollywood, goes on floors in September, provided a suitable leading lady is found at this late stage.

"Everything was finalised. Diganth, who is a major star in Karnataka, has all the makings of a national star thanks to his Rajasthani background and his pan-India look," says a source close to the project.

"The producers P.J. Singh (of "London Dreams") and director Mani Shankar (of "Knockout") wanted to launch Diganth with a pretty fragile girl who would be able to look physically correct with the 28-year Kannada star. Prachi was finalised," he adds.

And then suddenly Prachi informed the makers that she was no longer doing the film, thereby creating panic.

Says the source, "A lot of resources have gone into pre-production. Diganth has been training to be equipped to take on competition from Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan. Everything was in place. But now the project is without a leading lady."

Incidentally, this is Prachi's second such misadventure with a southern leading man. Earlier, she opted out unceremoniously from the Tamil film "Thaidaiyaara Thaka", leaving the project high and dry at the last minute.

It is unclear what could have prompted Prachi to be so unprofessional with an established actor down south.
