The shoot of the much awaited sequel of Hari’s Singam, starring Suriya in the lead, is all set to go on floors on September 26th.

News is that, the director has managed to add the hot favorites Hansika and Santhanam to the film adding attraction to the cast that retains other characters he had in Singam including Anushka, Manorama, Vivek and Nassar.

Hansika is reported to be playing a school girl in the film. However, We're yet to receive an official confirmation if Santhanam is playing a school boy too.

Studio Green has taken up the project again and Priyan will be helming the camera. Devi Sri Prasad, who delivered super hits for the original is again ready to rock for the sequel of Singam.

The best of buddies, Arya and Vishal had a great outing together in Bala’s Avan Ivan.

We now hear that the duo is getting back together.

Arya is likely to do a cameo in Madha Gaja Raja aka MGR starring Vishal in the lead. The actor who currently has Irandam Ulagam and Vishnuvardhan's untitled film in hand, didn’t think a bit in giving his nod to do the cameo for his friend, say reports.

MGR also stars Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, Anjali, Santhanam, Sadagopan Ramesh, Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood in important roles.

Richard Nathan is helming the camera for this film directed by Sundar C after the success of Kalakalappu (2012). Vijay Antony is composing the music for the film and actor Sada has been roped to perform for an item number in the film.

STR will be taking part in a special song sequence in Santhanam's maiden production venture 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya' aka KLTA. Composer Thaman is scoring the music for the film that is co-produced by Ramanarayanan.

Santhanam has been an integral part of STR's films like Manmadhan, Silambaattam and Vaanam. The profound comedy combo is likely to return in KLTA and in STR's forthcoming film Vaalu.

KLTA co-staring Power Star Dr. Srinivasan alongside Santhanam is expected to be a laugh riot all the way in the lines of the 1981 K. Bhagyaraj film 'Indru Poi Naalai Vaa' best known for its Hindi tuition scene involving the evergreen laughter blaster "Ek gaun mein, Ek Kissan - Raghu Thaatha!".

The above mentioned song sequence for KLTA featuring STR is expected to be shot over the next two days in Binny Mills near the Chennai airport.

The teaser of Settai that released recently has garnered an amazing response from film buffs and celebrities alike.

In just a few days of its release, the teaser of 'Settai' has crossed half a million hits. The shoot of the film is now being planned in foreign destinations like Dubai and Switzerland.

Now that Arya is free from his commitments in Georgia for Irandam Ulagam, it seems that the actor has allotted his dates for Settai along with Hansika and Anjali.

Arya would be participating in the song shoots in the aforementioned foreign destinations.

Director Kannan has toned down the adult content from the original Delhi Belly, to make sure that family audiences enjoy Settai, like his previous films such as Jeyam Kondaan and Kanden Kaadhalai.

Finally, Karthi's Alex Pandian can gallop towards the finish line as lead lady Anushka is back from her Irandam Ulagam shoots in Georgia.

Just a song needs to be shot with the lead pair in Alex Pandian before the film goes into the post-production stage. This song is currently being shot near AVM Rajeswari theater in Chennai.

There was news that Alex Pandian would release on October 12, and it looks like the release would happen as scheduled. Alex Pandian is directed by Suraj while Devi Sri Prasad scores for this entertainer, also starring Santhanam.

First there was news that Arya will lock lips with his co-stars Hansika Motwani and Anjali in the Tamil remake of Delhi Belly, and now reports have it that the handsome actor will also do the steamy bedroom scenes with his female co-stars for the film that is titled 'Settai'.

Director R. Kannan recently announced that Settai will have no expletives like the original, but surprisingly he wants to make the romantic sequences between Arya and Hansika Motwani hot and racy enough to leave the audiences asking for more.

According to the director, Arya will not only be locking lips with Hansika and Anjali but would also share steamy bedroom scenes with them. Those who have watched Delhi Belly know that Imran Khan did intimate scenes with both of his female co-stars in the film, thus the passionate sequences are requirement of the film’s script. 

"The kissing and bedroom sequences amongst the actor are very important to establish the intimacy between the characters and I hope to shoot them all aesthetically," said director R. Kannan who is expecting a U/A certificate for his film despite of all that kissing and lovemaking scenes.

Hari, who is planning to do a sequel on 'Singam' has disclosed the role that Hansika is going to play. 

The OKOK girl, who is affectionately called as ‘Chinna Kushbu’ of Kollywood will portray the role of a school girl in Singam 2. This is the first time Suriya and Hansika are coming together for a film. 

Hari is also looking to retain the original cast of 'Singam' adding Santhanam and Aachi Manorama among the cast list for the sequel. 

“We both have become sort of a pair,” said Hansika in a recent interview, commenting on the fact that she and Santhanam are doing a lot of films together post OKOK this year including Singam 2, Settai, Vaalu and Vettai Mannan.

The producers’ of Karthi starrer Saguni released two tracks from the film’s album yesterday as a treat for the actor’s birthday.

Now, the film makers have announced the release the entire music album of 'Saguni' on June 2nd following by the audio launch of 'Sakuni', the Telugu version of the film on June 5th.

'Saguni', the much anticipated film of Karthi Sivakumar also stars Pranitha, Santhanam, Raadhika Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Roja and Nassar. Directed by Shankar Dayal, the film has music by G.V Prakash, cinematography by Muthiah and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

Alex Pandian starring Karthi and Anushka in the lead, wrapped up its schedule at Mysore today. 

The crew will fly to Chalakudi falls, Kerala tomorrow for their next leg of shoot. Both Karthi and Anushka will accompany the team to the location.

The film also stars comedian Santhanam in a pivotal role. 

Being directed by Suraj, the film’s music is being composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and Saravanan has taken the spot behind the camera. Studio Green Gnanavelraj produces it.

'Kalakalappu', a comedy caper directed by Sundar C with Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya in lead roles is running packed houses and those who have seen the flick would have also noticed the glamour quotient in the film besides laughing their f#cking a$$es out.

"I did not force Anjali and Oviya to wear glamorous costumes in Kalakalappu. I just explained them the demands of the script and the thorough professionals understood it," said Sundar C about the two leading ladies who were seen with an extra dosage of glamour.

Initially titled 'Masala Cafe', the film was rechristened as 'Kalakalappu' before its release worldwide. Following the stupendous response, the producers of the film have decided to go ahead with a sequel with exactly the same team.

Sundar C is currently busy filming Madha Gadha Raja with Vishal and Karthika and would turn his attention to the Kalalalappu II once this project is wrapped up.

Shooting for Kalakalappu 2 is scheduled to begin in October and Sundar C is expected to return with exactly the same team with Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya reprising their roles.

Kalakallapu is living up to its name and it is rocking as far as the audience are concerned.

Producer Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures has said that he is being besieged with offers for remakes of 'Masala Cafe' in Malayalam and Telugu which is why the release of the film in those two states have been put off.

In another exciting development that is sure to delight fans, the makers are thinking of a sequel for this film as they feel that there is plenty of potential for a second installment.

"Sundar C's script for 'Kalakalappu' has that universal appeal without any language barriers. It would not be surprising if the film is remade in Bollywood as well," added Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures.

It will be great to see Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Oviya and Anjali reunite again on the big screen.

Santhanam has revealed that he has a team composed of his closest friends who help him to come up with material for his comedy routines in films.

Currently his team is very determined and is on a mission hunting for suitable names to bestow an honorific to Santhanam's name in the manner of all top stars and fellow comedians.

For instance, Vadivel is called Vaigai Puyal and Vivek is Chinna Kalaivanar.

Santhanam's friends feel that the comedian has earned his right to get a title for himself. The actor is super amused with the efforts of his team and keeps coming up with funny names for himself, but his team is taking the whole thing very seriously indeed!

Endrendrum Punnagai, an upcoming romantic comedy film is directed Mueenuddin Ahmed of Vaamanan fame. It is the director's second venture after his directorial debut and is collaborating with Jiiva, Trisha and Harris Jayaraj for the first time.

The film that brings Jiiva and Trisha together for the first time will also feature Santhanam, Nassar and Lisa Hayon in pivotal roles.

While Actor Jiiva is shuttling between the sets of Mugamoodi and Neethane En Ponvansantham, Trisha is home with a bout of flu. The actors are expected to complete their respective schedules soon to join the crew of 'Endrendrum Punnagai' that is expected to go on floor from June.

STR makes the most unpredictable moves!

The Young Superstar has been very busy shooting for 'Vettai Mannan' and 'Vaalu' produced by S.S Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. While 'Vaalu' co-starring Hansika and directed by debutante Vijay is announced to be a quickie that would release for Diwali this year, 'Vettai Mannan' directed by Nelson also starring Jai, Hansika, Deeksha Seth and Poonam Kaur is slated for a pongal release next year.

Incidentally Arya's 'Settai', directed by R. Kannan of Jayamkondaan fame is also expected to hit screens for Pongal next year. The film that was earlier titled 'Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam' is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit 'Delhi Belly' that also co-stars Premgi, Santhanam, Hansika and Anjali  in the lead roles.

It is expected that STR and Arya will be fighting it out with each other for the top spot at the box office for Pongal next year. Interestingly, Hansika is the common denominator in all three films.

STR, who is presently busy with his Podaa Podi and Vettai Mannan, will be shooting the teaser for Vaalu, his upcoming film, tomorrow in Taramani.

Along with STR, the film’s lead lady Hansika and supporting actors Santhanam and VTV Ganesh will appear for the shoot.

The director of the film has decided to shoot a scene from the film and release it as a teaser. Following the teaser shoot, G Venkatram, who did the CCL calendar 2012, will do the photo shoot for the film.

The film will be directed by debutante Vijay and will be produced by S.S. Chakravarthy of Nic Arts. Shakthi, a regular of Nic Arts will handle the camera and Thaman will be joining STR again after Osthe to entertain his audience with his music.

Arya and Santhanam, after their winning combination in Boss Engira Baskaran, come together for their next project titled 'Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam' directed by Kannan of Kanden Kathalai fame.

VVS is the most anticipated Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster Delhi Belly.

'Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam' AKA VVS is a comedy film and is set to go on floor from May 7th for a 30- day shoot.

For this purpose, a huge five star hotel set has been erected opposite Binni Mill. This enormous set is said to have cost the makers a whooping Rs. 1 crore.

The film features Arya, Santhanam, Premji, Hansika and Anjali in the lead roles. Muthiah will handle the camera and Thaman will be composing the music for the film.

Sundar C seems to have returned to direction with 'Masala Cafe' with Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya. It is old news that the movie has been wrapped and has been retitled 'Kalakalappu' before its audio release.

 

The film maker is back to what he does best and has completed his come back film in 90 days time.

Kalakalappu that has music by Vijay Ebenezer is now in news for its musical album that is been sold like hot cakes. This summer laugh riot is slated to be released on 11th May. 

After this, Sundar C will begin work on his next film which is going to have Vishal in the lead. This project will be a romantic comedy and will have Karthika pairing with Vishal for the first time. The film has been titled 'Madha Gaja Raja' AKA MGR for short!
