Actress Pranitha made her debut in Tamil with Udhayan opposite Arulnidhi. She is very happy with the response she has been getting and says that everyone has only good things to say about her performance in the film.

Pranitha has been hoping that the film will get her noticed and help her to land some good films and it looks like Pranitha's prayers have been answered.

Pranitha is now Karthi's heroine in Saguni. Karthi's last film Siruthai with Tamannah oppsosite him was a smash hit, and he has been waiting patiently for a good script to follow it up. Debutant Shankar Dayal impressed Karthi with Saguni and he readily agreed to do it.

The talks that Shriya Saran or Anushka to be pairing opposite was finally put to rest with Pranitha being finalized to be Karthi's arm candy.

Arulnidhi's next film with Chaplin, Udhayan is gearing up for release clearing the censors with a U/A certificate.

Udhayan would have Arulnidhi playing a polished city dweller after his rustic villager act in Vamsam. The film will revolve around him and his experiences in life after an unexpected episode.

Pranitha Subbaiah who made her debut opposite Darshan in the Kannada remake of Pokkiri is the heroine and the actress is pretty confident that she will be well received in Tamil Nadu as the role is tailor made for her.

All the heroines in tinsel town are dying to work with the hot and happening Karthi, and they were all considered for the female lead in Saguni. But Shriya Saran is the lucky lady who has landed the part. She is pleased to be sharing screen space with a livewire like Karthi.

Kannada babe Praneetha, who will be seen in Arulnidhi’s Udayan is also being considered for a part in Saguni. Apparently, Saguni is a two-heroine project and is being directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal for the banner Dream Warrior Projects with music composition by GV Prakash Kumar.

Saguni is touted to be a racy political drama with twists and turns designed to keep the audience guessing till the end. It would also have actress Radhika Sarathkumar who will be seen on the big screen in a meaty role after a very long time.

Arulnidhi’s Udayan is a simple love story with all the commercial elements, says its debut director Chaplin. According to the director, the hero, Arulnidhi, proposes marriage to the heroine, played by Pranitha during their very first meet.

This evokes a strong opposition from a rowdy gang. Why this opposition, forms the crux of the story and it will have the audiences gripped to their seats, said Chaplin. The director was very forthcoming about this film and said that the story is a plain one but the way he has treated it will be the talk of the tinsel town once it releases.

Though Shamshuddin Ibrahim AKA Shaam made his film debut through the Tamil film 12B, he shot to limelight after starring in the Telugu blockbuster titled Kick. Shaam had played an important role in this film and had earned name and fame enough to essay the same role in all of its remakes.

Kick was remade in Tamil under the title Thillalangadi and in Kannada it was named Kick. With both the remakes having done good business in Tamil and Kannada as well, it is now gearing up to go to Bollywood.

Recently, Salman Khan had met Shaam and assured him of the same role in its Bollywood remake and Shaam is happy over this development as it would be mark his debut in Bollywood. Sources in the Bollywood say that this remake would carry the title of the Original Kick and we just try and avoid saying, Not Again !
