There is a buzz in the industry that the story of K.V Anand's upcoming Suriya starrer 'Maattrraan' has been revealed online including the twists and turns in the film.

If sources are to believed, this unfortunate event might incur huge losses to AGS Entertainments, the makers and distributors of the film.

It is often witnessed that videos, songs and working stills are been unveiled in social networking and microblogging websites by a few unauthorized members who somehow get their hands on it. This consequence finally ends as the producers loss and now the Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal starrer 'Maattrraan' is also facing the same problem.

It can be recalled that K.V Anand's previous film 'KO' also was a victim of such lawless activity, but the film emerged as a box-office hit despite of all odds.

Is this another form of a publicity stunt, we wish we could tell.

As reported earlier Kamal Haasan’s magnum opus Vishwaroopam will hit the screens in October.

Now we hear that the film will release on October 12th, K,V Anand’s Suriya starrer 'Maatrraan' is also expected to hit the screens on the very same day.

Kamal Haasan plays a Kathak exponent and a secret agent in Vishwaroopam. Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah play the female leads and Rahul Bose, Jaideep Ahlawat, Samrat Chakrabarti, Nassar and many others play character roles.

A major portion of the film was shot in Chennai and New York and the post production is being carried out in Los Angeles.

Coincidentally, Harris Jayaraj is the composer for both the films that are highly expected to release this year.

K.V Anand's Suriya starrer 'Maatraan' is closing completion but for a song.

While the shoot for the film is yet to be wrapped, sources confirmed that the director's penchant for hunting new locations is the reason behind the song still being pending.

K.V Anand, a filmmaker in perfection best known for his work in 'Ayan (2009)' and 'Ko (2011)' is still on the lookout for unseen locales to shoot the one remaining song with Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal.

Meanwhile, Eros International bought the distribution rights of the film for an astronomical 43 crores even before the final product is complete. With this 'Maatraan' becomes one of the year's most expensive movies to be released.

Harris Jayaraj who is composing music for the film, recently revealed that the songs of 'Maatraan' were composed in 6 different countries.

The action thriller is expected to release for the Independence Day weekend in August.

Eros International Media Ltd. has acquired the Tamil theatrical rights for the K.V Anand directed Maatraan starring Suriya, Kajal Aggarwal, Vivek, Sachin Khedekhar and Isha Sharvani. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film has been widely shot in Pakistan borders, Jodhpur, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Russia, Croatia, Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.

Commenting on the acquisition, Sunil Lulla, the Managing Director of Eros International said that with Maatraan, Eros continues to explore and establish its presence in the regional film markets. He also added, “The film promises to be one of its kind action thrillers and we are happy to associate with AGS Entertainment Private Limited to release this much awaited film with the hugely popular Suriya”.

Santhosh Sivan, cinematographer par excellence has done the country proud by becoming the first Director Of Photography (DOP) to receive a coveted membership from the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).

Santosh Sivan is the first person from the Asia Pacific region to have received this honor.

The membership with ASC is a towering achievement in cinematography and is the top accolade that can be conferred towards a cinematographer.

Santhosh Sivan said that it was a dream come true and thanked his directors like Mani Ratnam and Priyadharshan for believing in him.

K.V Anand and Suriya have stolen a march on Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Ashwin.

Maatran will feature the much vaunted Performance Capture Technology (PCT) introduced by Steven Spielberg with The Adventures of Tin Tin - The Secret of the Unicorn.

Srinivas Mohan, a three time national award winner for special effects who has worked on the visual effects for Maatran implemented Spielberg's PCT (Peformance Capture Technology) in some of Maatran's super slick action scenes.

Shooting for Maatran is almost complete whereas Kochadaiyaan recently started rolling. So ultimately Maatran would hit the screens first becoming India's first film to feature the much hyped Performance Capture Technology.

Kajal Agarwal is sitting pretty these days as she has plum projects in Tamil with Vijay and Suriya and in Telugu cinema too in addition to a Bollywood film with Akshay Kumar.

Sources close to the actress say that she is working harder than ever to justify the faith the film makers have shown in her.

Currently, Kajal is learning Russian because her character in KV Anand's Maatran with Suriya has to speak the language and an instructor was flown in from Russia to coach her on the language.

The team of Maatran was impressed with her swift ability and her dedication towards learning her Russian dialogues.

Kajal has fallen in love with the language and the country Russia, where a major portion of the film has been shot.

Apart from Moscow and Riga, the Latvian capital, Maatran has been filmed in various serene locales where no Indian films have been filmed before.

Shankar seems to have set his sights on his next project.

After lot of speculations about a multi-lingual involving Kamal Haasan now comes the revelation that Shankar has arrived at a central theme for his next film.

The theme will be developed into a full-fledged script in the coming months by Shankar in association with the writer duo Suba. This association now extends the relationship that Shankar has been having with some of the modern day literary stalwarts in Tamil.

After collaborating with Sujatha for a number of projects and also with Balakumaran, Shankar has joined Suba for the first time. The combination is sure to provide another treat too Tamil cinema buffs. While this is the first time that Shankar is associating with Suba, the writer duo is by no means new to the film industry. They have proved their mettle in scripting through recent blockbusters like Ko and Ayan; they are also involved in K.V. Anand’s upcoming Suriya starrer Maatraan.

In fact, they have been involved in all of K.V.Anand’s directorial ventures starting from Kana Kandaen.

The union with Shankar is however the biggest thing that has happened to the writer duo in tinsel town and one is sure that they will be putting their best foot forward in what will be another keenly awaited product from Tamil cinema. The basic nature of the theme has not yet been revealed. Nor have any details about the prospective cast been discussed yet. Reports say that Suriya is playing a dual role in Matraan.

Director K.V Anand has taken up a social issue as the crux of this film and Suriya’s roles have been etched out powerfully.

A major portion of the shooting has been completed and there are reports that the special effects of Maatraan are being done at the Stan Winston Studios in the US.

Maatraan produced by Kalpathy S Agoram under AGS Entertainment Banner has Kajal Agarwal as his leading lady and Sachin Khedekar along with Milind Soman, Daniel Balaji and Veera Bahu in pivotal roles.

Kajal Agarwal is happy that lady luck is smiling on her.

Though the actress was caught in several controversies recently, there is no dearth of projects for her. Kajal will be seen in Matraan, which has Suriya in the lead and directed by KV Anand. Further, the actress also bagged Thuppaki in which she plays Vijay’s love-interest.

All this has Kajal happy and she is reported to be thanking her lucky stars for having her paired up with the leading actors in Kollywood.

The Chennai schedule of K.V Anand's Matraan with Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal was wrapped up recently and the team is now getting ready for theie next schedule in Hyderabad. It is said that director K.V Anand is planning a schedule in Hyderabad and the sets have being erected at the Ramoji Film City.

As reported earlier, Maatraan would have Suriya portraying five different roles and one of them requires him to sport different tattoos on his body. The actor without a doubt is working out again for an 8 pack abs towards flaunting his chiseled physique along with the tattoos.

The release date of Maatraan despite the shooting still being in progress is highly anticipated and is expected to be announced soon after the completion of the schedule in Hyderabad.

Yes, we’re talking about Kajal Aggarwal, who’s got a prize catch —- Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay's next film directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

Though several names including Priyanka Chopra and Priya Anand were tossed around, the opportunity to romance Vijay on-screen has fallen into Kajal’s lap.

Sources say that the leggy lass, who’s on a high after her Bollywood debut hit Singham with Ajay Devgan, was on cloud nine after signing the film on Tuesday with mass hero Vijay.

Kajal Aggarwal is the only lucky girl to sizzle with two K’town biggies simultaneously — Suriya in Maatran and Vijay in this untitled flick. Her Tollywood career is also looking up with two films — one with Mahesh Babu and another with her Magadheera costar Ram Charan Teja.

A source reveals that the movie produced by Vijay’s dad S.A. Chandrashekar, is set in Mumbai and will be shot extensively in the business capital.

Reportedly, the crew will start rolling from December 1 with ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan handling the camera and Harris Jayaraj composing music for the film.

Among all the accolades and appreciations that actor Suriya had received for 7am Arivu, he cherishes the admiration of his father and veteran actor Sivakumar the most.

"My dad watches all my films and reviews my performance with me. However after watching 7am Arivu, he drove all the way and hugged me, looked at my eyes and said that I made him proud" revealed the actor.

Suriya, who is thrilled with the phenomenal response for 7am Arivu said, "7am Arivu is the biggest hit of my career," adding that "K V Anand’s Maatran is a commercial entertrainer and his next with Hari (supposedly a sequel to Singham) will be announced in a couple of weeks."

Actress Kajal Aggarwal, the pretty actress who loves to click new pictures quite often is currently in Goa for a photo shoot.

Kajal has travelled around the world to many places for her shoots. But she seems to be obsessed with Russia after her shoot there for the K.V. Anand directed Maatraan with Suriya.

Kajal returned long back from Russia after her shoot and is still speaking about the beauty of the place to her friends expressing her love for Russia.

"Some of the historical places in Russia really got me impressed. K.V. Anand liked to shoot in adventurous locations, as usual. Whenever I was not shooting, I travelled alone to many places and clicked pictures.

This was my first trip to Russia. It was an unusual place for shooting a film, unlike Switzerland and New Zealand where I've made trips for song shoots. I am interested in knowing the historic details of any place I travel and I want to visit Russia again." said the actor been smitten by the country.

It is a well know fact that STR was approached for Ko before Jiiva and the actor was even ready to start shooting for Ko being impressed with K.V. Anand's script, but yet STR chose Vaanam over Ko at the last moment despite everything.

Post the success of Ko, STR had stated that he did not regret his choice, even as Karthika and himself were expected to be the pair for the blockbuster hit. But the recent reports say that STR and Karthika have been approached to play the lead roles in Vetrimaran’s next film that is yet to be titled. Once more there are lots of expectations from this lead pair.

However, inside sources say that nothing about Vetrimaran’s film is confirmed yet. Infact, STR is believed to be waiting for Vetri’s confirmation regarding the project.

When we contacted yesteryear actress Radha, Karthika’s mother about the possible pairing, she confirmed, “Karthika will pair up with STR soon. She is currently shooting for 'Dhammu' with Junior NTR," adding that she was visibly excited for Karthika who is acting with the most inspirational heroes.

Karthika and Trisha are believed to be currently shooting for the film 'Dhammu' with Junior NTR.

The film features Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles and has music by Harris Jayaraj. It marks the return of the Ayan superhit combination.
