Director Chakri Toleti and producer Sunir Kheterpal are in Mumbai for the post production of their film Billa 2. Yuvan Shankar Raja is also with them to complete the RR part of the film.

The work of the film’s DI, sound design, VFX and editing are being carried out in a rapid pace. The makers are aiming to present the film to the censor board before 30th May, as Ajith will be flying to Mumbai this month end for his first schedule of Vishnuvardhan’s untitled project.

The film is expected to hit the screens either by 8th or by 15th June. The film’s trailer is also on the making and will be released a week before the film’s release.

Thala Ajith is the now the hot shot of Tamil Cinema and he is all geared up to keep his fans engaged with surprises.

While the Ajith starring sequel of Billa is awaiting release this June, the actor is to start shooting for his untitled project with Vishnuvardhan next week. The director, who has completed the script for the film that has Ajith starring alonside Nayantara and Arya in the lead, is now thinking on a suitable title for the film.

The makers of this yet to titled film by Vishnuvardhan are planning a Diwali release and is expecting to wrap the project in three months. Produced by A.M Rathnam, the film would most likely have Yuvan Shankar Raja roped in to compose the music for the film.

It doesn’t end there. Ajith's another film for Vijaya Productions to be directed by Siva of Siruthai fame is also expected to release in 2012.

It is no secret that STR is a huge Ajith fan.

STR says that the music of Billa 2 is rocking and congratulated buddy Yuvan Shankar Raja for his excellent work. The actor said that Gangster and Bounce are his favorite tracks and he is playing them constantly.

STR has begged his fans and followers to say no to piracy and to buy only the original versions.

Piracy has been crippling the industry and many stars have joined the anti - piracy movement to make sure their films are not affected. But STR is the first to take up the fight on behalf of another actor's film.

Truly he is one of Ajith's biggest fans!

Bruna Abdullah, the Arab-Brazilian model turned actress is miffed because people have been referring to her as the second heroine in the upcoming Ajith starrer Billa II that is awaiting release June, 2012.

"I don't understand why people here classify actors as first and second heroine. You can't make a film with just one person," complained the bombshell adding that her role is a good one and that is all that matters.

When asked if Bruna's stand on the issue led to tension between herself and the other lead Parvathy Omanakuttan, she replied that there were no issues and they got along quite well. Bruna said they had known each other in Mumbai and there was no ill will between them.

Bruna Abdullah, the Brazilian beauty and Ajith's heroine in Billa 2, is all set to get hitched to her steady Bengali boyfriend of many years. 

 

The rumor mills started spinning when the couple took off to Brazil to meet her parents and get their blessings for further proceedings.  

Bruna has said that she and her boyfriend are yet to settle on a wedding date and asked the media to respect their privacy. 

 

The Brazilian hottie, who is best known for her role as Giselle in Punit Malhotra's I Hate Luv Storys, alongside Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, was first noticed on Channel V's show, India's Hottest. However, it was her performance in the item song (Rehem Kare) for Anubhav Sinha’s Cash that got her noticed  and became the stepping stone of her acting career.

 

Word is that Bruna will bid adieu to films after her marriage.But the sexy lass added that she has pinned her hopes on Billa II and would continue to act if good roles that come her way as her fiance has been very supportive of her career choices.

The two hotties Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah of Billa II are said to have posed for a calendar, which the makers of Billa are creating as a treat to the fans.

The makers came up with the idea of shooting a sexy calendar as both the ladies are basically models.

The Photo shoot took place in Goa and reports say that the 'revelation' is a lot lesser in the film than in the calendar.

The calendar is expected to be released by the two sirens promoting the film sometime in the month of May. As far as the film’s audio release, it has been scheduled on May 1, coinciding with Ajith’s birthday.

Following the path of yorebeauty queens, stepping into movies, Parvathy Omanakuttan made her cinematic debut with United Six, a Bollywood chick flick directed by  Vishal Aryan Singh. She lated signed for two other movies 'Madan Kolli', her debut Malayalam film and Umaganeshwaram, her Tamil debut that is still to see the light of the day.

Parvathy Omanakuttan is back on the news ever since she was cast opposite Ajith Kumar for her upcoming film 'Billa II' that is expected to relaunch her career. Although her role in the much awaited prequel of Billa is kept under wraps, she says she is playing a very interesting role.

"I was initially very nervous but Ajith was very easy going and that put me at ease majorly," said Parvathy Omanakuttan on her experience in working with a star like Ajith. 

Meanwhile, there is news that Ajith's Billa 2 is releasing in Telugu too. Presumably a dubbed version, the version will be released simultaneously.

Ajith Kumar's Billa II is now considered one of the biggest films of the year and this was proved when the overseas rights of the film was purchased for a million dollars by GK Media, a Tamil film distribution company that operates out of the United States of America.

With this staggering feat, Ajith joins the likes of Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Suriya whose films have hitherto been sold overseas for the same amount.

Namitha had a meaty role in the Ajith starrer Billa, though Nayanthara was the main female lead.

Wishing Billa II team all success, Namitha said that she wanted to be a part of the film but unfortunately it did not happen.

Billa II was initially to be directed by Vishnuvardhan but the project fell on the hands of Chakri Toleti who is now directing the film with Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah playing Ajith’s lead pairs in this film.

While Hazel Keech aka Rose Dawn spiced up Billa with the item number 'Sei yedhavathu sei.,' Meenakshi Dixit will be grooving for the special song in the second instalment, that is touted to be prequel of the Billa.

Well, grapevine is abuzz with the news that the makers of the film have zeroed in on Meenakshi Dixit for an item number in Billa II.

The movie bosses signed Meenakshi Dixit for the item number, after much deliberation considering quite a few actresses before roping her in. It is said that her recent item number in Telugu movie Dookudu had created a rage and had impressed them enough to have her sizzle with Ajith Kumar for the tune composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja in Billa II.

Apart from Ajith Kumar, Billa II directed by Chakri Toleti has Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the lead roles.

Looks like Bruna Abdullah, the Brazilian - Arab model who is working with Ajith for the second installment of the Billa franchise, Billa II can't stop gushing about how awesome it was to work with him.

Bruna was last seen in a miniscule role in Desi Boyz, which is fast losing its steam at the box office. Her shoots with Ajith for Billa II in Georgia in Eastern Europe are apparently over. After finishing her shooting, Bruna is back in Mumbai.

Priyanka Chopra was recently approached for a special item number in Rohit Dhawan’s upcoming film 'Desi Boyz' starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. According to an insider, apparently Priyanka was one of the topmost on the list of preferred actors for a special song in the film that was to be shot with the lead actors.

“The filmmakers were keen on having Priyanka on board, as they felt that her tag of Desi Girl went with the film’s name and theme and even approached her for it,” reveals a source.

It still remains unknown if Akshay or John were aware of Priyanka being approached for a song that was finally shot with Bruna Abdullah. An insider insists that it would have made no difference to Akshay, even if he had known that Priyanka had been approached for the song.

“Akshay is very professional and we don’t think he would’ve objected to Priyanka doing the song,” adds the insider.

However, matters didn’t come to it, as Priyanka politely turned down the offer citing date trouble. “But this also led to speculation that Priyanka would be reluctant to do the song as she was she was linked with Akshay in the past. So, the filmmakers even offered her a song where she would not be required to shoot with either John or Akshay,” informs the source.

The shooting of the song would have required only two days time. “It’s certainly not something that could not be worked out, but apparently Priyanka was too busy with her own music album. Though she did take time out for promotional activities with actor Shah Rukh Khan, there was no confirmation forthcoming for the song fuelling speculation that maybe the past rumours had something to do with it,” says another source, adding that “The filmmakers are happy with the way the song has finally turned out.”

A production hand says, “It would’ve been nice to have Desi Girl for this movie, but we are happy with what Bruna has done.”

Billa 2 will be a complete action film with the stunt sequences being fiery like never seen before in Indian cinema.

The action scenes are touted to be highly power-packed to make sure that its going to be a treat to all Ajith fans after seeing him in his smashing performance as ACP Vinayak Mahadev in Mangatha.

Recently, the star was injured during the filming of one such stunt scene and had to be rushed to the hospital. When enquired about this, we were told that the injury was a minor one and Ajith was back in action almost immediately after it was treated.

Billa 2 directed by Chakri Toleti is currently progressing in Goa and the it seems to have shaped up very well with Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah being the leading ladies.
