The proposal of setting up actress Kareena Kapoor’s wax statue at the famed Madame Tussauds Museum in London, which had run into a roadblock, seems to be back on track again.

Senior officials of the famous museum confirmed that they have already commissioned the project once again.

Earlier, the project had into been stonewalled due to a reported fight between the actress's staff members and an event management company which handles the work of the museum. But as it seems now, the project has just got a fresh lease of life.

The actress's wax statue is now supposed to be the star attraction when the museum opens for three months at Blackpool in London.

“We are delighted to announce this exciting new Madame Tussauds Bollywood experience and to confirm that Kareena Kapoor will be the next Indian film star to be immortalised in wax,” says Nicky Marsh, Director of Global Marketing at Madame Tussauds in a press statement indicating that this is part of the initiative of the museum to enhance its Bollywood experience.

“We have a longstanding commitment to the Indian film industry and Bollywood stars have already been featured in a number of our attractions around the world, from London to New York. With this new experience, we hope to give even more fans a chance to meet their favorite stars in wax as it tours the world,” Marsha added.

Kareena’s figure is supposed to tour Asia, USA and Europe after premiering in Madame Tussauds newest venue in Blackpool, England.

“Other than the chance to get up close with their favourite stars, guests will enjoy some additional interactive themed elements and full details are now in the final planning stages.

The actress has given a sitting in Mumbai, where the Madame Tussauds’ creative team took hundreds of precise measurements and a catalogue of reference photographs,” says an official of the museum, adding that the touring ‘Bollywood experience’ will kick off in Blackpool in September and Bangkok in January before transferring to Hong Kong, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna and finally London.
