Director Aanand Rai, who is best known 2011s sleeper hit 'Tanu Weds Manu' expressed his confidence in Actor Dhanush who will undecidedly break the myth
that South Indian actors are jinxed when it comes to Bollywood.

from the South like Hema Malini, Rekha and Sridevi who have insanely become popular.
"I've seen Dhanush's National Award Winning performance in 'Aadukalam' and his recently released 'Mayakkam Enna' and '3' that featured the actor's skills. Dhanush certainly has what it takes for an actor to make it big in
Bollywood and would break the jinx," said Anand Rai, director of Dhanush's Bollywood debut 'Raanjhana'.
Raanjhana would have Dhanush playing a rustic youth whose
character is an endearing one that would surely connect with the audience.
"Dhanush is going to melt everyone's heart in the role of
this loveable guy from Varanasi. He has understood the soul of the
script and the spirit of the town. Now he is giving his heart into
getting the character right," added Anand Rai who was all praises for this talented actor.
