Gautham Menon was utterly saddened by a report made a famous newspaper that said he blames his actors for his failure in bollywood.
In a letter to the editor of the newspaper, the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya director said, “It's unfair for a reputed newspaper to put out an article based on hearsay and constructed out of another article that itself didn’t quite report the exact words I had used.” He also added, “All it takes is a phone call and you would have got my views on the same before putting out the article.”
The daily had quoted that the director pointed out Madhavan’s obesity and Prateik’s lack of lusture as the causes for his two Hindi films’ to fail. However, the director in his letter has washed off this article as “wrongly reported”. He also made it clear in his letter that as the daily is writing articles that has no base, he wouldn’t be willing to share any details or even talk to their reporters anymore.
