Actor Gul Panag, who married Gurshwinder Singh Attari aka Rishi, a Jet Airways pilot, in Chandigarh, on Sunday, thought of a novel idea to reach the reception venue, the Bella Vista hotel, from the gurudwara. The couple arrived at the hotel with Rishi riding a royal Enfield and Gul sitting in the sidecar much like actors Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in Sholay. Gul, 32, known to be an avid biker was accompanied by 20 friends, all on their bikes. The wedding was a close- knit affair with family and close friends, followed by a small reception. The only ones in attendance from the film industry were filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava and actors Shruti Seth and Koel Puri.
Gul later said to the media, “How did you like it? I want to ride a bike, but let me act like a shy bride.” Gul donned an onion pink lehenga, while the groom wore an off-white sherwani. The couple will now host a reception for their Bollywood friends in Mumbai.
