The actor's film 'Akashathinte Niram'(The Colour of the Sky), a Malayalam film directed by Biju Menon has been chosen for The Golden Goblet competition section of the Shanghai International film festival.
'Akashathinte Niram' is the first time a Malayalam movie that has been selected for the main competition section of the Shanghai festival, said a recent press release.
Shot entirely in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, the film is about an old man who is asked for money forcibly by an intruder. The latter then gets to know the people in the old man's life and his own life changes forever.
'Akashathinte Niram' is the fourth feature film directed by Biju. His earlier films including 'Saira' (2005), 'Raman' (2008) and the National Award Winner for the best Malayalam feature film 'Veettilekulla Vazhi' (2010) were also screened at various International festivals.
The festival is to be held from the 16th to 24th of June,2012 in Shanghai, China.
