Mallika Sherawat is back and this time she is the sultry Laila!

The sex bomb and also a fabulous dancer Mallika agreed to do an item song in the upcoming film Tezz, and the oomphilicious first look of her hot avatar from the song Laila is out.

After her delectable Jalebi Bai act or the racy Razia Gundon Mein Phas Gayi, what’s new Mallika Sherawat has to offer in Laila? Well, the first look of the song sees her dressed in the skimpiest of a skirt with a crystal-studded bustier, while raven long hair completes her sultry get-up for the song. Moreover, the song’s choreography is done by Ganesh Acharya of Chikni Chameli fame.

It is rumoured that Mallika Sherawat agreed to do the item number in a short span of time to keep up the good relationship with producer Ratan Jain. Also it’s learnt that she especially flew down to Mumbai from LA to do this item song and thus gave the Oscars a miss.

The item song also hit trouble when Shiv Sainiks stormed into the sets of the film for allowing foreign actors in it.

Interestingly, this will be the fourth Laila song. Earlier you have seen Zeenat Aman, Yana Gupta and Lucy Bartholomew’s Laila versions.

Beware Munnis and Sheilas, here comes Shweta Tiwari in a wet sari..!!

Draped in a white sexy saree, TV actress Shweta Tiwari is ready to set the mercury soaring with her first item dance in the upcoming Bollywood film "Bin Bulaye Baraati".

Shweta's hot 'n' wet look seems to be recreation of Mandakini's act from "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" or is it that of Zeenat Aman's from "Satyam Shivam Sundaram"????

Zeenat Aman might not be happy with the new version of her cult song Dum maaro dum, but the veteran actress is quite satisfied with the neo-age version of Laila o laila and is going all out to lend her support to it.

The famous song from the 1980 film Qurbani has been re-arranged for the film Chalo Dilli, which is actress Lara Dutta's first home production.

"I liked the song when I heard it. They have retained the original version and at the same time have given the song a new flavour. It's got a rustic, ethnic feel and I liked it a lot. So I'm supporting it," Zeenat told IANS.

The new version has been picturised on Yana Gupta and the 31-year-old is extremely happy to be a part of such a cult song.

Yana said: "I was extremely excited to do this song because it's fantastic. I'm just honoured to do Zeenatji's song. I think people will like it.

Yana said she was very happy that Zeenat gave her support for the song. "It's a big deal for me," she said.

"I saw the video of the original song a couple of times and saw the style that Zeenatji used in the song. But I didn't copy her as I thought of doing it my own way because the song is very different," she added.

Though she still doesn’t like the way the item song 'Dum Maro Dum', has been picturised, actress Zeenat Aman is now making it a point to point out that she doesn’t have personal grouse with actor Deepika Padukone, who has performed to the song.

According to Aman, she still maintains that she is disappointed with the song but she wants to make it clear that this does not imply that she does not like Padukone.

However, it could not be ascertained whether Padukone herself called Aman or if a staff member communicated to Aman about how upset she was to learn that Aman , the original heroine on which the song has been filmed, doesn’t approve of the new version.

“I have not seen 'Dum Maaro Dum', so I cannot comment on (Padukone’s) performance,” Aman told DNA.

Aman is quick to add that that even though she has not seen her performance yet, she is sure that Padukone must have done a good job because she is a great performer.

“...But Deepika is gorgeous and I am sure (that) she has done a great job. I was personally disappointed with lyrics, but maybe they work in context of the film..,” adds Aman.

A tribute from one national beauty pageant winner to another, the gorgeous Lara Dutta is very excited about the item song 'Laila O Laila', an iconic Zeenat Aman song, that will be seen in Lara's first ever home production Chalo Dilli. The song will bring the famous item girl, Yana Gupta.

Yana is ready to wow audiences with her performance on the cult Zeenat Aman song 'Laila O Laila'. Keeping close to the original composition, Lara Dutta who is a big Zeenat Aman fan wanted to pay homage to her idol and decided to shoot an item song starring the scintillating Yana.

Says a source "Both Lara and Zeenat have been Miss Indias. Lara has always idolized Zeenat Aman and wanted to in some way represent her in her first home production - that's when she decided to base an item song on the cult hit 'Laila O Laila'."

If sources are to be believed, the song is one to watch out for and is very rustic yet exotic in its format.

"Lara is very excited to show the song to Zeenat Aman and have her feedback on it," adds the source.

Says producer Krishika Lulla, "We are all very excited about the song 'Laila O Laila' which is a desi rendition of the original. We've received great feedback for it and hopefully audiences should love it just as much"

An entertaining, slice of life film that will have you laughing off your seats, Chalo Dilli directed by Shashant Shah (of Dasvidaniya fame) is a journey which along with the two protagonists showcases the real India and its colourful and funny people with their eccentricities.

Produced by Krishika Lulla and Mahesh Bhupathi, Chalo Dilli comes to a theatre near you on April 29.
