Actor Richa Gangopadhyay got a pleasant surprise recently when she was presented with a 'Fashion Diva' award at the Southspin Fashion awards 2012.

The hot looking actor was honored with the 'Fashion Diva' award for her unbiased ethnic look in the STR starrer 'Osthe' - a Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster 'Dabangg' that starred Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead.

The actor will be next seen in the Goutham Menon produced 'Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum' and has been signed up for a couple of Telugu projects each with 'Rebel Star' Prabhas and 'Mass Maharaja' Ravi Teja.

Richa's next outing in Tamil is the Venkat Prabhu diet 'Biriyani' opposite Karthi in the lead. This biggie that is expected to release by the end of this year would feature newly married couple Sneha and Prasanna sharing screen space with Director Mysskin donning the grease paint to play the villain in the film.

Looks like Richa is progressing pretty good pace even on her career front.

Actor Asin has been linked with almost all Bollywood superstars she has acted with ever since her debut with Aamir Khan in Ghajini.

First it was Aamir Khan and then it was Salman, with whom Asin was rumored to be linked with. Thanks to her twin movies 'London Dreams' and 'Ready' with Salman, that some media houses even went as far as to say that she was living together with him.

Initially the actor took it in her stride as being part and parcel of her profession but off late she has been disturbed by the talks of her alleged live-in relationship with Salman.

Asin appealed to such miscreants to think about her family before spreading any such rumors. She signed off with a warning stating that she would sue the media houses in court if any such false news is spread in future.

Ileana D'Cruz is very happy with the warm response that she has received so far for her Bollywood debut 'Barfi!' directed by Anurag Basu.

The hot and sexy actor revealed that she was earlier offered an opportunity to work with Salman Khan in the Prabhu Deva directed 'Wanted  (2009)' which was the Hindi remake of the Telugu film 'Pokkiri (2006)' directed by Puri Jagannadh starring herself and Mahesh Babu in the lead.

"Albeit I was excited to work with Salman, I felt that I was not ready for Bollywood then. So I allowed the opportunity to slip through my fingers," said the goan beauty admitting that she would love to work with Salman if she's offered a chance again.

However, the 'Nanban' heroine was quick to clarify that she had no regrets about refusing the given opportunity to act with Salman Khan and was proud to make her Bollywood debut with 'Barfi!'.

Asin has been enacting marriage scenes in quite a few of her recent movies like Ready and Housefull 2.

Even for her upcoming film with Akshay Kumar titled Khiladi 786, Asin got married last week on the sets in Punjabi style.

Now, she has jokingly remarked to her support crew that it is time for her to find a good guy, and get married for real.

Looks like she is fed up of all these reel marriages. However, her fans would hope that Asin would continue donning the greasepaint and not think about marriage seriously anytime soon.

Kabir Khan's Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Ek Tha Tiger' is already the second biggest blockbuster in Bollywood history and is still only 2 weeks old at the box-office.

If reports are to be believed, the block buster success of 'Ek Tha Tiger' has resulted in discussions of Tamil and Telugu remakes of the film.

Generally Salman makes his films based on Southern hits but now it is the reverse as there is stiff competition to purchase the remake rights of 'EK Tha Tiger'.

Editor Mohan has supposedly purchased the Tamil remake rights of the film to be directed by his son Jayam Raja, given his expertise in handling remakes.

The shoes of Salman Khan as Tiger, the Indian RAW agent sent on a mission to Ireland is soon to be filled by one of the leading actors in Tamil Cinema. Rumors abuzz that the remake Raja is in talks with Vijay for another film after working together in Velayudham.

Official updates are awaited on this. Till then the guessing game would continue.

Asin has been having a grand run in Bollywood ever since she made her debut opposite Aamir Khan in 'Ghajini (2008).'

All of her Bollywood releases including Ghajini followed by London Dreams and Housefull 2 have crossed the 100 crores net at the boxoffice including her latest release Bol Bachchan.

The actor now seem to have realized the reason for her grandeur in Bollywood as all her co-stars that she has been acting with, like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar are not only box-office opening kings but are also really senior to her.

Asin now longs to have a good solid solo female lead role opposite a co-star of her age. She infact feels sad for the lack of prominent roles offered to her, post Ghajini.

Would this regret make Asin come back to South Indian Cinema. Well we'd leave that for Asin to decide.

Bollywood actor Uday Chopra is all set to launch a new label of comic books, "Yomics", based on Yash Raj movies like "Dhoom" and "Ek Tha Tiger". The actor says that it is his passion for comics and graphic novels which has led him to embark on this endeavour.

"I love reading comics and it's my passion. Most people don't want to get into this (comics) because they don't want to put money into it. But I feel if I am able to create an industry which doesn't exist today, I will be the one to start it. But more than that, it is the love for comics which has led me to this," said Uday at the launch of "Yomics" at Yash Raj Studios Tuesday.

There are four titles which are ready as of now; "Dhoom", "Ek Tha Tiger", "Hum Tum" and a new character based comic called Daya Prochu. The actor says that the fifth title is in the pipeline and will be introduced during Diwali.

"Every month a new 'Yomic' will come. We will be adding the fifth title during Diwali. The new title is very different to 'Dhoom' and 'Ek tha tiger'. I want to give the readers something completely new," he said.

Daya Prochu is an original addition by Uday Chopra. He is shown to be a fun school-going boy and Chopra feels that everyone will be able to relate to him.

"Daya is a school child and his thoughts are different. We all have a Daya Prochu in us. We have all been bullied, but his character bullies other people. It's a fun character," he added.

Talking about the impact of his venture, Chopra says that it purely depends on how the audience accept this medium. He is introducing four titles together in the hope that different people will associate to and like different characters and will like to read more about them.

"The success of any skill depends on the audience. I am bringing out four titles together so that they might like at least one. They might identify with at least one character and people will like to read their stories. I will keep at it for a while," he added.

Chopra said his "Yomics" are very different to conventional comic books which are available. Their look and feel makes them distinct.

"I have kept the art work very colourful and simple. It is not grim. Today's comics are very grim and dark. I want to stay away from that. I want to cater to a universal audience and make them feel happy about it. I will enter that realm also but right now I want to make them very appealing," he said.

The Yash Raj banner is known for its love sagas and these surely will not be kept out of their comic books. Chopra plans to introduce them eventually.

"I have thought about it. I don't know how they will do in a comic book format. This format needs action to get moving. But in the west they don't only have action comic books and I don't see any reason for not doing that here. We will love to do it in a while," he added.

Do you remember Hazel Keech as the lovely bespectacled friend of Kareena Kapoor in the blockbuster Bodyguard?

Originally from London, the British hottie couldn’t refrain from being sexy on the silver screen. She had sizzled in a brief role earlier in the Ajith starrer 'Billa (2007)' before 'Bodyguard'.

The sexy lass has now shot for the item number 'Aa Ante Amalapuram' in the forthcoming movie Maximum starring Naseeruddin Shah, Sonu Sood and Neha Dhupia.

The item track that was well sung by Malathy has a mass appeal to it, but more than the song it’s Hazel who wows you with her sexy makeover.

The song is definitely helping her to earn fans, as she gyrates in a true desi style doing jhatka-matka and showing off ample curves. The spicy song indeed has a catchy tune, thanks to the music composer Devi Sri Prasad, whose super hit Telugu composition Ringa Ringa was made into Dhinka Chika in Bollywood.

'Aa Ante Amalapuram' is originally from the Telugu hit film Arya starring Allu Arjun. Sonu Sood, the producer of Maximum bought the rights of the song from the makers. The lyrics of the song also draw inspiration from the original. The meaning of "Aa Ante Amalapuram is: “Aa means Amalapuram”; Amalapuram is a small town in Andhra Pradesh.

Here is Hazel Keech dancing to the tune of Aa Ante Amlapuram. Item girl or item bomb?

It's been a month since the teaser of Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger was launched with much aplomb showcasing Salman Khan at his best. The teaser met with rave reviews about the action sequences that Salman pulls off. However, there were no signs of the film's leading lady, Katrina Kaif.

Well, here she is. A poster featuring Katrina Kaif with the tagline "The girl who tamed tiger" is out.

Her look was kept as a secret ever since the film went on floors. Katrina, who is training hard with Salman for her action role in Dhoom 3 opposite Aamir Khan, is looking her fittest in this poster in a black vest.

Ek Tha Tiger is a spy thriller, and has been shot across Cuba, Ireland, Morocco, UK, Thailand and India and is set to hit the screens this Eid, considered to be a golden period for Salman.

Asin remains the only actress from the South to have made a successful transition to Hindi films in recent times, having tasted success within just three years of being in the Hindi film industry.

Three out of the four films she's done are in the list of the top 10 highest grossers of all time. " Ghajini", "Ready" and "Housefull 2" have all crossed the `100 crore (net collections) mark.

Asin has an enviable career success ratio in B-town when compared to contemporaries in the `100-crore list who have been in the industry for a decade or more.

Asin's next film is Rohit Shetty's "Bol Bachchan".

Says the actress, "I am thrilled to have three films in the coveted 100-crore list. It is a function of luck, working with good people, growth in Bollywood and to some extent, my picking fun and emotional stories, which tend to do well. For me, it is not about the crores in collections, but entertaining such a big number of people. If the audience is happy, the rest follows. Collections are one factor, but more than anything, I'd like to work in films I'm passionate about. I love the new generation of filmmakers and hope I get to work with them."

She has also kept a relatively low profile compared to her peers. "I have to admit, my PR and networking skills suck!" she says, "I may get all self-righteous about it, but the fact is that PR matters. I come from the South, where self-marketing isn't naturally in the culture, so I've been deficient in that area. The good thing about downplaying myself is that when achievements come, people are positively surprised. I believe my work should do the talking."

Asin says her family is her support system. "It may sound like a cliche," she says, "but my family defines who I am and is my strongest support base. My parents have given me the right amount of independence to pursue my dreams, but at the same time, brought me up well and kept me grounded. There are absolutely no starry tantrums allowed at home! And that is why I don't have them on the sets." What about Mr Right? "Ah! Good men and good scripts - two things I'm looking for," she smiles, "So far, I've been lucky with the scripts. It's perhaps time to focus on finding the man."

Some of Vikram's acclaimed Tamil movies have found takers in Bollywood. His hit Sethu, written and directed by Bala, was remade in Hindi with Salman Khan as Tere Naam. Directed by Satish Kaushik, the flick went on to be a hit for Sallu bhai as well.

The rights of another one of Bala's films have been bought by Satish Kaushik but this time it was nine years later than the release of its original!

Released in 2003, Pithamagan, which also stars Vikram, was a critically acclaimed film. So why has the director bought the rights so late? "I didn't have too much clarity with whom the rights were till recently. I saw the movie when it released and loved it but I took a gap from remakes," said director Satish Kaushik, who has just started work on his next project that is still in its initial stages.

Like most directors today who are vying to cast Bollywood's hit machine Salman Khan, in their films, Satish also is eyeing him. But if the director had to wait for him, the wait would be unbelievably long considering Sallu doesn't have dates!

"I haven't approached Salman yet. I need to first finish the script first and then I may approach him for it. But I think he is perfect for Vikram's role. I haven't finalized any of the cast as of now," said the filmmaker.

"Once the movie goes on the floors, I plan to invite him over. It's always good that the film's original director is part of the project. He'll be able to give additional inputs," he said adding that he plans to tweak the original script to suit the audiences in the north.

Prabhu Deva is currently shooting Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. Once this is done, he will begin his next film with Salman Khan.

Both Prabhu Deva and Salman Khan met during the opening ceremony of IPL and finalized on another project to work together after their previous venture 'Wanted' became one of the biggest hits in both their careers.

Expecting their second venture together to be a bigger hit than 'Wanted', both Prabhu Deva and Salman are planning to rope Kareena Kapoor to play the heroine in the film.

Kareena, the Bollywood Queen is reportedly a big fan of Prabhu Deva ever since he choreographed some of her dance moves in the S.J Suryah directed 'Kushi' and from what we heard, the sexy belle is keen to work with him again.

Prabhu Deva said an official announcement will be made soon once he is done with Rowdy Rathore.

Prakash Raj is one of the most sought-after character artistes in Indian Cinema.

The actor is now on a roll being busy shooting in Mumbai for Dabaang during the daytime and nights shooting for another film in Bangalore.

Prakash Raj and Salman Khan recently had dinner together in Mumbai and the former been awed by the honesty of the latter tweeted about it on the microblogging website saying,

The actors might be foes in their upcoming sequel of Dabaang, but off screen they bond like old friends.

Raghava Lawrence is currently directing a Telugu film called Rebel that will have Prabhas and Tamannah in the lead.

After this project Lawrence will give directing a rest and return to acting. He will be the hero in Rasu Madhuravan's next film entitled Paraman. The duo had worked together in a film called Pandi and are looking forward to working together again.

Muni 3 is also in the works for Raghava Lawrence following the super success of Kanchana or Muni 2. There is also talk of a Hindi remake of Muni 2 which will have Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt reprising Lawrence and Sarathkumar's roles.

Once he used to weigh an odd 140 kgs, and now Arjun Kapoor flashes his toned abs with ease. Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun stars in the Yashraj Films young flick Ishaqzaade and proves his mettle.

The new song Chokra Jawaan is out and along with Arjun it also features Gauhar Khan.

The bindaas track has Arjun celebrating his adolescence amidst his bratpack, and jiving along with the village belle, Gauhar Khan.

In the song Arjun matches step with the dazzling Gauhar Khan, who is a terrific dancer. The crackling chemistry between the two is evident on big screen. The song written by director Habib Faisal has a distinct Bollywood flavour of early 80s film.

Arjun is a delight to watch, especially when he is doing the killer dance moves lying on the floor, and also when he is trying to serenade Gauhar Khan. Who can believe the fitter-looking Arjun was once an overweight lad with no interest in acting!

Arjun Kapoor gives the credit for his makeover to Salman Khan.

It was Salman who got Arjun into acting. On the sets of Wanted, Salman reportedly told Arjun that he had the potential to become an actor and it was on his insistence that Arjun decided to lose weight and give acting a shot.

Salman used to observe his progress in workouts and helped him in grooming as an actor and also getting a flab-less body.

In Ishaqzaade Arjun plays Parma who falls in love with Parineeti Chopra. The song Chokra Jawaan belongs to him. Watch the video of the song here:

There is no business like show business and stars make insane amounts of money.

Bollywood stars make full use of their star power to deliver super hits and many like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan have taken the plunge into production and help themselves to a hefty chunk of the profits.

A recent survey found that for 2011, India's highest paid actor for any one film is none other than Rajinikanth!

No surprise there?

Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Salman follow closely. Superstar clearly is the star who shines brightest on the horizon!

Now that the shooting of 'Ek Tha Tiger' has wrapped up in Cuba, Salman Khan is back in the city and is all set to switch on to the avatar of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 2 directed by his brother Arbaaz Khan, who is busy as of now searching for the most suitable cast for the movie.

News is that there have been a few drop outs from the prequel.

Not just that, in Dabangg2, there are reports of a few additions to the already existing cast. But buzz is that baddie Sonu Sood will not be seen in the movie while Sonakshi Sinha will continue to be Salman's lady love.

The music of the sequel will be composed by Sajid-Wajid.

The shooting is likely to go on floors in March.

Asin recently said that she would love to work with Shah Rukh Khan as she has already worked with the other two Khans in Bollywood -Aamir and Salman.

It looks like Asin's wish to act with the King Khan is now about to come true as she is all set to sign on the dotted line for a film with Shahrukh Khan himself.

The film will be based on the book - Two States: The Story of My Marriage by Chetan Bhagat.

Sajid Nadiadwala would be producing this venture with Vishal Bharadwaj wielding the megaphone to direct this film.

In the book, the female protagonist is a Tamilian and Asin's Southern roots make her an apt choice. Besides she is very comfortable with the producer having worked with him earlier in the sequel of Houseful.

"If we are taking about female population, now we know that we have a female hero here with us who has taken over. I think with all the Khans and the Kapoors, we have Vidya Balan now," Shekhar, of the Vishal-Shekhar duo, said at the music launch of their latest film 'Kahaani'.

After being down and out for a while, Vidya resurfaced and showed her Versatility with 'Ishqiya', 'Paa', 'No One Killed Jessica' and her masterstroke came in the form of 'The Dirty Picture'. The film was not only a commercial success, it also received all-round acclaim.

Right now Vidya is on a winning spree with most popular best actress awards falling in her kitty.

The duo had composed the music for 'The Dirty Picture' and Shekhar says they have tried to match the audiences' expectations with 'Kahaani', which is coming out March 9, as well.

" 'Kahaani' is really very special for us. Whenever people talk about this combination (me and Vishal), they always expect something really mad, crazy and beautiful and this has happened again with 'Kahaani'," said Shekhar.

They are also busy composing for 'Arjun - The Warrior Prince', 'Student of the Year' and 'Shanghai'.

Salman Khan and Shriya get along splendidly over their shared passion for fitness.

The Bollywood superstar is very impressed with Shriya's talent after Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai and has been promoting her in a big way.

It may be remembered that Salman also promoted Katrina Kaif and as a result she is one of the leading heroines in Bollywood today.

Sonakshi Sinha is also a Salman discovery and her career is also rocking these days.

Will Shriya also follow suit? Let's wait and watch!
