Jyothirmayi has been granted divorce.The actress was married to Nishanth Kumar even before she entered filmdom but their relationships strained when Jyothirmayi started to act in glamorous roles.
It is said that it was Jyothirmayi's glamor roles that created a rift between the couple and they ended filing for divorce.
Following this, the family court granted divorce as all efforts for reconciliation through counseling failed.
Jyothirmayi, who has acted in films like Thalai Nagaram, Nan Avan Illai and Vedigundu Murugesan has said that she would now be able to concentrate on her acting career and henceforth there need not be any second thoughts about shedding her inhibitions.
