Pakistani import and wannabe Bollywood star Veena Malik, who invited fatwas back home for posing in the nude for FHM sometime ago, is forever out to give the adage her own spin.

"Nothing succeeds like 'sexcess'.

Veena's Bollywood foray so far has included a couple of forgettable item dances besides a stint in the fourth season of the popular reality show, Bigg Boss, where she openly cavorted with rumoured ex Ashmit Patel, ensuring big TRPs.

The controversial Pakistani starlet recently posed for some saucy photo shoots for the publicity campaign of her debut feature, 'Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai.' The film directed by debutante Anandbalraj is a naughty comedy about love, lies and the lust for money.

True to the mood, Veena dabbed on some loud red lipstick for the photo shoot, to accessorise a garish gown, that looked more like a designer's faux pas in a bid to highlight her ample assets.

If you're really dying to know of Veena's costar in 'Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai.' Then be no surprised to find out that its Raja Chaudhary, the bad boy of the Bhojpuri film industry and former husband of Shweta Tiwari, who makes more news with his streetside brawls than any sane reason.

If this piece of information is any indication, it looks like Veena Malik sure knows how to comfort her co-stars while filming intimate lovemaking or kissing scenes.

Ask actor Rajeev Anand who had reservations shooting the lip-lock scene with Veena playing her husband in an upcoming film.

The actor admitted of his reservations in shooting for intimate love scenes and that Veena Malik comforted him to overcome his shyness.

“Thanks to Veena that it became a mind-blowing scene. She made me comfortable,” he says, asserting that their 15-second kiss will surely shock the audience.

Rajeev recalls, “Veena kept me engrossed for 15 minutes that we shot the scene and taught me how to kiss even with the camera eye locking on our lip movement.”

Good for him. No Ashmit Patel? Or shouldn’t we ask?

Ever since the leading entertainment channel decided to shutdown, Veena Malik is in a fix. The Pakistani drama queen was to figure in her own 'Swayamvar' on a reality show scheduled to be aired on the channel. However, before Veena Malik could air her reactions on the same, India's drama queen Rakhi Sawant has bombarded 'Veena Malik' with accusations of being responsible for the channel's closure.

According to reports, Rakhi mentioned Veena Malik to be a 'Pakistani Panauti' (ill omen from Pakistan) blaming her to have brought bad luck to the channel. In her trademark diatribe she said that entering into talks with the Pakistani lass for a show spelled doom for the channel.

The quintessential Rakhi did not miss the opportunity to boast about herself saying that it was her 'Swayamvar' that brought the highest TRPs for the channel. Not only this, Rakhi also claimed that her shows like 'Ghazab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaaniyan', 'Pati, Patni Aur Woh' and 'Rakhi Ka Insaaf' helped the channel gain ground on the popularity charts.

Besides blaming actress Veena Malik to be a 'Panauti' that changed the fate of the channel, Rakhi Sawant added that she has a solution!

"If the channel brings me back to the grid, I would like to put on another dhamakedar show "All Over Again" to boost the TRPs. I can certainly turn the fate of the channel," said Rakhi praying for all those who have lost their jobs and for their families.

Perhaps the channel can take this chance.

Imported queen of sleazy antics, Veena Malik, who was earnestly looking forward to meet her prospective life partner through reality TV show ‘Swayamwar’, will now have to consider putting her profile up on matrimonial sites to find that “someone special”.

The TV channel that was supposed to air the show titled ‘Swayamwar Season 4- Veena Ka Vivah’ has shut down for good.

India’s original drama queen Rakhi Sawant was almost like the “brand ambassador’ of the channel that had aired shows of hers life ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamwar’, ‘Ghazab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaaniyan’, ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’ and ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’.

Describing her contribution to the channel that has now closed, Rakhi while talking to a daily described of her efforts that took the channel to newer heights with Imagine TV's team to make ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamwar’ a superhit show with such high TRPs.

“I really hope some other channel takes over Imagine TV. They should bring Team Imagine TV back, I would like to do another dhamakedar show for the channel all over again, that will make the boost the TRPs," said Rakhi Sawant praying for all those who have lost their jobs and for their families.

The sudden shutdown of Hindi entertainment channel Imagine TV on Thursday has sent production houses, artists and employees in a state of shock. 

 “Imagine TV has not performed and grown as per expectations ... overall the channel was unable to achieve the ratings to sustain the business and support continued investment. As a result, Turner made the carefully considered decision to cease operations of the channel,” said Siddharth Jain, Managing Director- South Asia, Turner International India. Thereafter, the channel remained unavailable for comment on how they plan to compensate for the show-makers’ losses worth crores. 

While some of the primetime shows on the channel included Chandragupta Maurya, Sawaare Sabke Sapne - Preeto and Mi Aaji Aur Saheb, it’s Veena Ka Vivaah, the much-hyped swayamvar of Pakistani actor Veena Malik that has received the biggest blow even before it began. 

 “Veena is currently in the United Kingdom. Though the channel did not inform us about its closure, Veena knows about it now, and she’s very upset,” said Satish, actor Veena Malik's manager.

In the last two months, two actresses have denied posing for FHM’s India magazine the moment their skimpily-clad or nude pictures were released.

While Pakistan’s Veena Malik has reportedly sued the magazine for Rs 10 crore, there was no news of Kajal Aggarwal, who denied posing for the September issue, taking any legal action.

FHM’s editor Kabeer Sharma clarifies, “It’s quite obvious why such strong denials have come. The media has the tendency to make big issues out of such incidents. People should look at the big picture as it takes guts to feature nude in front of the world.”

Sharma feels bad about the Veena Malik incident in spite of being sued for Rs 10 crore. “In a way, I sympathise with her. All this attention does amount to pressure which might make the actors go back on their decisions.”

While he refuses to comment on the legal aspect of the issue, he points us to his Twitter account which reads: “Seen Veena’s notice on d net & fwded to legal for appropriate action. allegations’re false...investigating options including a countersuit.”

The magazine is reportedly going to file a countersuit for Rs 25 crore.

Sharma, however, ensures that he has all the evidence needed to prove that both the shoots took place the way they were meant to be. “One should understand why Kajal didn’t pursue the matter legally (referring to Kajal’s denial of posing semi-nude for their cover).”

Malik’s legal notice to the magazine, meanwhile, refers to posing in a bikini or a thong and not completely in the buff. But amidst the “I didn’t do it” and “she definitely did” blame game, we ask people what difference does it make.

Anubhuti Verma, a fashion communications student who has always looked up to fashion magazine covers for inspiration, feels it’s a definite publicity stunt which is not likely to help.

“Nudity in the fashion world is history. This controversy will definitely not affect many in the fashion world nor will help the magazine sell extra copies.”

Those who goggled and gaped at the bare-all cover pics of Veena Malik on the cover of a magazine were surprised to learn that the Pakistani sex-bomb claimed she hadn’t posed for the pic at all and that the photos had been morphed!

Amidst news that Veena was suing the magazine for ten crore rupees, allegations and counter-allegations swirled around, with everyone who had an opinion getting into the act.

Which reminds us of an earlier, similar incident. Even as fans grabbed an eyeful of a topless Kajal Aggarwal on the cover of (not-so-coincidentally?) the same magazine, as she barely managed to cover her modesty with her arms, came news that the photos had been morphed.

But Kajal didn’t protest too much and there were many who felt that there had been collusion. Before the pictures, Kajal was perceived as just another fledgling starlet down south, making her way into Bollywood. Could the risqué photoshoot have been a part of a well-calculated plan?

Chances are no one will know for sure. Kajal’s popularity did get a big boost after the pics. In Veena’s case, she was already famous, but then she’s a known publicity hunter.

The kind of attention that Veena has garnered, especially with ISI tattooed on her arm in the picture, has been unprecedented. While the international media has gone berserk with tales of who is suing whom, Veena is now a household name in India.

Fashion photographer Karthik Srinivasan, cynically shreds the veneer of glitz and glamour when he says, “This is not exploitative. It’s a publicity stunt that could possibly have both parties involved. A stunt like this assures an actress of fame within minutes and the magazine gets its mileage too. Everyone is aware of what they are getting into.”

It can’t be denied that a magazine does gain some popularity out of such a stunt. But does an international magazine need to stoop to this, that too twice in a row?

Actress Janani Iyer of Avan Ivan fame has read of both the morphing incidents and believes, “No actress desires such infamy. I know of actresses constantly coming across their morphed pictures online and I understand how infuriating it is. To objectify women and exploit them for a few bucks is certainly unethical.”

Ad man Prahlad Kakkar looks at the whole brouhaha as an invasion of a person’s privacy. “In this male-dominated world, the woman only has the vestiges of dignity to hold on to. Even that is robbed when you invade her space and expose her in such a manner in the public domain.”

The celebrated ad man adds, “Not all publicity is good publicity. Not everyone can be a Rakhi Sawant!”

Controversial Pakistani actress-model Veena Malik hopes to find herself a life partner on national television through Imagine TV's reality show Swayamwar season 4, Veena Ka Vivaah. The actress not only gives out details on her marriage on a reality show but also talks about her nude pictures on the December 2011 issue of FHM India, that had brought her back on the headlines again.

Veena Malik, who had decided to face the questions raised at her, came up with the following responses as you may see below:

You have posed nude for FHM India Magazine and the images have now become a fury raising more than just a few brows. How can you add some light on this issue?

"I have never posed nude. I have never done anything like that ever. My manager and legal team is looking into the matter and We will take legal action."

Why did you decide to get married on a reality show?

"I was apprehensive when I was offered this show six months ago but I discussed it with my family and they were more excited than I was. I have not been lucky in my past relationships so my father told me to give it one more chance to find Mr Right.

My two elder sisters got married at the age of 14 so naturally, my parents wanted me also to get married but I told them that I will marry if I come across Mr Right.

I have watched the previous seasons and feel it's a genuine and exciting show."

What went wrong with your past relationships?

"The first one broke up because the guy wasn't loyal to me. The second one was arranged by my father. I am an independent girl, work and live on my terms and conditions. And this guy wanted me to shift to the US for good, so that too didn't work out. Hope it works for me this time."

Did money play a major role in your accepting this show?

"No. But, yes, I have been paid very well for this show. I am very happy with the kind of money they have paid. Money is important but it is not everything.

I don't think I have got more than 10 marriage proposals in all these years. But on this show, I will get to meet different people from various countries and chose Mr Right, which is really an interesting concept."



Will you really get married on the show like Rahul Mahajan or just get engaged like Rakhi Sawant and Ratan Rajpoot?

"I am doing this show with the intention of getting married if I come across the right person. I would not like to comment on the other contestants."

Are you concerned about the reaction in Pakistan after doing this show?

"It's an honour for a Pakistani to do a show like this. It is only a section of people who had issues in the past. Once I went there and cleared up the issues, everything was fine. But this Swayamvar is part of my personal life. No one has the right to tell me what I should do and whom I should marry."

Apparently, your former boyfriend Mohammed Asif called you before he was convicted in the match-fixing case.

"Yes, he called me a few days before his conviction. He wanted to meet me but I don't see any reason to meet him because he is a closed chapter in my life.

Also, he is married now and I don't want to hurt another woman.

I feel that the punishment is a bit too harsh and I pray that he comes out as a changed man after his sentence."

Can you talk about the films you are doing?

"I have completed four movies: Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Dal Mein Kuch Kaala Hain, Zindagi 50-50 and finally there is Mumbai 125 KMs which is a 3D horror thriller.

The films are in the post-production stage and there are two more films for which I am shooting."

Pakistani actress Veena Malik is suing a popular Indian men's magazine for millions of dollars, accusing it of publishing photos she says were doctored to make her appear nude, her lawyer said Monday.

Malik's racy images in the December issue of FHM India has triggered a fury across her conservative Islamic country, with one cleric calling them a “shame for all Muslims.”

The photo essay appears to make light of the military rivalry between India and Pakistan, nuclear-armed neighbors who have fought three wars.

In the magazine's cover photo, Malik is shown wearing no clothing, but with her arms and legs discreetly positioned to keep her covered. She has the letters ISI stenciled on her arm, representing Pakistan's powerful spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence agency.

In a second photo, she is lying on a camouflage military helmet and in a third she is wearing what appears to be a green ammunition belt and pretending to pull the pin out of a grenade with her teeth. She appears to be topless in those images.

Malik's lawyer, Ayaz Bilawala, denied the nude cover photo was authentic and said Malik was wearing underwear throughout the entire shoot. He sent notice to the magazine and was filing papers in the Mumbai High Court demanding all copies of the magazine be removed from newsstands, he said. The suit was also seeking 100 million rupees (US$2 million) in damages.

“She has been cheated, and there has been tampering, and the photographs have been morphed,” he said. “She has not posed in the manner in which she has been shown.”

He also disputed the magazine's assertion that it possessed a video of the shoot that would prove the photos were real.

FHM India editor Kabeer Sharma insisted the photos were authentic and said he had just come out of a meeting with the magazine's lawyers where they watched the video of the photo session proving his case.

“It's a considered decision on our part not to make that video public because of the nature of the video,” he said.

Sharma said the magazine had received the legal notice.

“The allegations are entirely false and we are investigating various options, including a countersuit,” he said.

Malik courted controversy last year when she participated in India's “Bigg Boss” reality show, where celebrities are locked in a house together. Conservative Pakistani clerics lambasted her both for appearing on a show in arch-rival India and for appearing to canoodle with Ashmit Patel, an Indian actor in the house.

Veena Malik was detained at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday for evasion of customs duty, according to news reports.

Veena, a Pakistani national, was reportedly found to be carrying undeclared dutiable goods worth `40,000 to `50,000.

Reports said the actress was let off after paying a fine of `10,000.

Veena is the second Pakistani artiste to have been penalised. Earlier this year, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was detained for carrying unaccounted foreign currency while leaving Mumbai.

After the roaring heat generated by Ashmit Patel and Veena Malik on Bigg Boss last year, romance was definitely a missing link this season. But now that too, is about to become a thing of the past.

While India’s biggest House of Scandal continues to buzz with mind-boggling activity including daily catfights, Miss India International Shonali Nagrani and Wild Card entry Siddharth Bhardwaj have begun coochie-cooing like lovebirds on the reality show.

The latest episode caught the couple in the bedroom, exchanging sweet-nothings under the observance of night cameras, with Siddharth consoling and hugging Shonali and kissing her hand, while the girl seemed to reciprocate his every move.

“Siddharth has earlier won the reality show MTV Splitsvilla and knows how to play things up. If all goes well, we should have the first full-blown romance of this season on Bigg Boss in a few days,” says celebrity publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who is a specialist with reality shows, having handled the PR for some of the most popular contestants including Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel (Bigg Boss).

When asked if Siddharth and Shonali are doing this for TRP’s, Dale remarks, “It doesn’t matter much, as long as they are providing the entertainment. Bigg Boss is a game and however much one thinks of it affecting society, one should not forget that all the Housemates know very well that they are wearing mikes around them and are surrounded by cameras 24x7. They have all gone on the show with personal agendas and roles to portray. They have all gone on it to play and win.”

After Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Mahajan and Ratan Rajput, speculation is rife that Pakistani import Veena Malik will scout for a life partner in Season 4 of Swayamvar.

Mika, Raja Chaudhary and Rakhi Sawant were other probable contenders for the forthcoming season.

Shweta Tiwari's estranged husband Raja Chaudhary and Mika had approached the channel and so did Rakhi Sawant to be a part of Swayamvar season 4.

Rakhi Sawant, who got engaged to Elesh Parujanwala on national television with the 1st season of Swayamwar, didn't get married and wanted another chance to find herself a husband after her experience with Elesh. She also told the channel that she would want to run a background check on the candidates and has even agreed to sign a pre-nuptial agreement with the groom and a contract to ensure she would get married this time.

Probably Veena's popularity in the country from her appearance in Color's controversial reality show Bigg Boss worked in her favour.

"Finally, the channel decided on Veena."

Will Veena, who is rumoured to be dating Ashmit Patel, really tie the knot? Wait and watch!

Veena Malik has just made her Bollywood debut in a sizzling item number.

The 27-year-old Pakistani actor, who shot to fame with reality TV show Bigg Boss, will be seen in the song Main To Teri Fan Ho Gayi, in Riteish Deshmukh- Genelia D’Souza starrer Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya.

“Honestly, I had a few offers for item numbers. But I wanted to pick the best one. This song is extremely spicy, so it goes perfectly with my personality ... at least I feel that way. When Kumarji (producer Kumar Taurani) made me hear the song, I said yes instantly. I hope it’s the right decision,” says Malik.

Veena hopes that her home industry takes a cue from Bollywood and opens doors for better opportunities. “There’s no concept of item numbers in Pakistan. And, there’re hardly any films being made there at the moment. Hope that changes soon,” she said.

The film, directed by debutant Mandeep Kumar, will hit theatres next year.

Ashmit Patel and Riya Sen’s sexx MMS back in popular: Ashmit Patel's MMS sex clip titled 'Riya-Ashmit new MMS scandal' has re-surfaced and become one of the most searched videos on the Internet.

People want to see the infamous sex clip involving the actor Ashmit Patel and the sexy siren Riya Sen. The video, which first surfaced three years ago, is again a rage among the netizens after the actor himself mentioned it on the Bigg Boss 4 show and felt sorry about the incident which also wreaked havoc in his love life.

Seeing the curiosity over the MMS, YouTube has again uploaded the 1-minute-32-second long video. She stated “But yes, I’ve heard that he said some things about Riya on the show. All I can say is that if Riya is the only way Ashmit can gain some publicity, then all the best to him!”

Presently Raima Sen is busy with the promotion of her upcoming Bengali film titled “Nouka Daubi”. In this film she will be seen along with her sister Riya.

Talking about the movie and her role in it, Raima stated “But we don’t have any scenes in it together. The story was such that putting us in the same frame would probably look forced.”

All praises for her sister Riya, she added “The audience will be taken aback with Riya in this film. I think, this film will be the turning point of Riya’s career — much like how Choker Bali was in mine.”

The actress said, “People normally imagine me to be the girl-next-door and picture Riya as the sexy outgoing babe. But Ritu (director Rituparno Ghosh) has attempted a role reversal of sorts here.”

The actress said further, “I’ve been said to have dated Randeep Hooda and Tusshar Kapoor in the recent past — they’ve stopped bothering me now.”

Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who participated in the reality show Bigg Boss, finds herself hosting a couple of cricket shows, and claims that she is flooded with offers even for shows covering the Indian Premiere League, scheduled to begin soon after the ICC World Cup.

This has encouraged Veena to buy a house in Mumbai. We are told, that Malik, considering the opportunities here, is keen to buy a home in suburban Mumbai, however, Pakistan will remain her base. In fact, Veena, it is heard, even made a passing statement: I have six homes in Pakistan, it's only fair that I buy myself one in Mumbai!

Well, with her getting along famously well with Ashmit Patel, and with good work coming her way, it's not so much of a 'big toss' if the lady will actually buy a Mumbai house.
